Plantronics 903+ Notifications? - Motorola Droid RAZR

Paired fine with the Maxx, but notifications and ringer are not ringing through the headset. I'm sure it's something stupid, but I've been all through the bluetooth setup on the Maxx and can't find it. I'd like the notifications and ringtone to go through the headset.

Apparently its a known motorola thing...

Anyone having this issue - Dialing tones play through the handset speaker and not BT?

I upgraded my XV-6800 to 6.1 using the Verizon ROM and am having a very annoying issue with Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 (it works somewhat).
The issue is this:
Push button on headset to activate MSVC
***Beep*** through headset
Me: Call Home
Msvc: Call Home? (through headset)
Me: Yes
DIAL TONES THROUGH THE PHONES SPEAKER
Bluetooth headphone switches back on once connected
The only way I have found that it works normally is when I have my Plantronics 8010 main headset piece set to "Wireless Stereo" and "Hands-Free" and I have the little icon of the stereo headsets showing on the top (where the start menu is). If that icon isn't there then the phone goes back to behaving the way it was above.
I've tried this with non-stereo headsets (mono only) and it plays the damn dial tones through the speaker on the phone. The other thing is that instead of the ringtone coming through the headset on an incoming call it goes through the phones speaker- when I hit the headset button it connects the call properly.
Can this be a conflict with that garbage software called Cyberon Voice Dialer? Anyone else have this issue and was there a fix?
Thanks!
I wasn't aware this was a bug. This is how it's always operated for me and I thought it was a purposeful function of the software. Besides, I think that dialing sound would get really annoying in my ear.
EDIT: The ringtones play through my headset, though. It's just the dialing sound that doesn't. What are your Phone settings in MSVC?
Ok- just uninstalled MSVC and re-installed (for the the third time) and now the incoming calls play the headset fine but the dial tones play out of the speaker on the handset.
I'm pretty sure this is a bug as it never used to do this on the XV-6700 running MSVC 1.5.
It's honestly been that way on every version I've personally used. It doesn't seem like a bug to me. It's specifically jumping out of the Bluetooth audio bridge to play it, then back in. That seems deliberate to me. Besides, it's an effect of the phone, itself, doing the dialing. Kind of a psychological thing. Besides, I wouldn't want that annoying sound buzzing in my ear.

Bluetooth - Permanently disable Media Audio?

Did some searching, and didn't find an answer/solution to my problem: Every time I connect my Bluetooth headset to my phone, it enables Media Audio, even though I repeatedly disable it in the settings. Has anyone found a way to permanently disable Media Audio? I don't want anything but phone calls routed to the headset. As a matter of fact, when it's connected (and Media Audio is enabled) all notifications and ringtones are routed to the headset, so if I'm not wearing the headset (and I'm not right next to my phone) I don't hear it ring. Once Media Audio is disabled, it rings from the phone.
I use the "Autostarts" app. You should be able to disable that using it.

that's weird. Even if I have media going through the BT, the phone rings/notifications come through both the phone speaker and the headset.

If you have it, can you tell me if it's possible to disable it using the app? Even though it's only $1.50 for the app, I'm not keen on spending the money for it, if it won't fix my problem.

Mine behaved normally up until recently. Now, Media Audio must be unchecked for rings and notifications to sound from the handset.

Nope. I even installed Autostarts (as previously suggested) and have had no luck in changing the behavior.

Any way to direct ALL sound to BT headset?

For some odd reason the GS3 seems to still play sounds (rings, notifications, etc) on the device as well as the BT headset when connected; causing an unecessary echo. On all my previous devices, all sounds were directed to the headset. Any way to change this? Couldn't find it under Settings.

I'm experiencing the same problem but I'd like to broaden the scope.
My Bose MIE2I's are plugged into the 3.5mm slot not BT and do not receive the notifications, nor do they work for speaking through the phone and listening to the other party on the call.
I'm used to them not controlling my multimedia and voice control as per my GSII but their functionality being constricted on a higher model phone perplexes me.

Have you try application name BT mono? search in Google play. try that application. it pretty much make your BT headset as output sound. So music notification can play through BT headset
For Bluetooth- turn on the device and find it in the Bluetooth settings. Then click on the wheel beside it and check both vocal and media audio.
same issue here.. driving my nuts..
want all rings notifications etc in the earpiece only.
I want to mute my phone and have all sound routed 100% to the earpiece.

I know this is an old topic, but I was searching for a solution for the exact same issue and thought I'd add my .02 cents here as well.
Anyone come up with a solution to this yet?

LG V10 - Notification on the wrong audio path

Hi guys,
I noticed that don't matter what audio out you are using(Audio Jack, Bluetooth Headsets) the notifications always come out both on the mobile speaker and the audio out.
I believe that is not as intended, as when you are on Bluetooth headsets, you wanna hear notifications on the headsets, not on the Speaker, especially if you have something like Text to Speak or read notifications setup.
The only way around this that i found is to set the phone on silent when you put the headsets in, but it's not very intuitive.
Has anyone run into this problem? has anyone found a fix?
Kind regards,
Daniel
Hi Daniel,
I have the same "issue". A search on the internet showed that this is no a special issue of the V10 but one of many phones. Seems to be a general issue with Android.
You can use the app "SoundAbout" from the PlayStore to solve this issue. A free version is available but to use all features you'll have to buy the pro version.
in the setup of the app you need to change the options for "Alert behavior". I set "Wired Headset behavior" and "Bluetooth (A2DP) behavior" to "Headset only (override)" and "A2DP only (override)" respectively. That worked for me. The speaker is now silent and notifications are played only via headset. The Bluetooth options are only available in the pro version, the wired headset can be changed in the free version.
but I agree that this is an issue which should be fixed by Google.

Is there a fix for the ringing issue when bluetooth headsets are present?

When connected to a bluetooth headset, no matter "what" ROM i'm using, it seems to not ring to the phone. I've used all the apps that are supposed to redirect sound and they don't work well at all.
Thoughts?
Same issue here.
