Moving IMEI from one rom to another Why/what exactly do you mean by that ? Explain what you're wanting to do more clearly/in more detail.

just like this(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1189122), but this is for 2.3.x, and I tried it and it doesn't work in ICS

The problem is I can't install the ChineseIME.apk. Is that because of odex and deodex? because my rom is deodex

Ahhh OK. Gotcha. My mistake.
I'm sure the other person who answered your OP can help you (who has been on my blocked list for the last 4 mths - obviously for good reason), seems to have all the answers 8-|

Ics do it yourself hellraise!

So ive been seeing a lot of how do i use i777 zImage with xx rom for i9100 and make it work... So heres how
Method one
1. Get zImage from aokp if ur doing aosp rom or entropy or siyah with mic swap if ur doing tw. must be i777
2. Flash rom of choice...
3. Push kernel using heimdall or if u can make cwm
a. you can also unzip rom nd replace zImage in rom then rezip and flash
4. Go to market get es file explorer and set root rights
5. Go to /system/usr/keylayout
6. Modify sec_touchkey.kl and make it look like this:
key 158 BACK VIRTUAL
key 139 MENU VIRTUAL
key 107 SEARCH VIRTUAL
key 28 HOME VIRTUAL
7. Reboot
8. Enjoy and hit thanks

N00b Moment. So system isn't mounted by default?
Correct me if i'm wrong, but it'd be nice if CWM had some method for the app, or for devs to implement auto mounting of necessary partitions or folders.
I'm flashing sometimes, but nothing...

What file manager did you use to place the apk and lib? Did you also have to mount when you transferred those files?
I've done the exact same thing, but no go for me. I'm unsure what I'm doing.
Nobody else mounted system in cwm and flashed the zip? Worked perfect over here

For me I got it to work by copied the apk over to the systems/apps dir. Renamed the original then changed the permissions. Works pretty good. The lock screen part seems to have issues for the display. It will show just a default music icon. then when i change a song using the controls, it will find the right text to display. Anyone else seeing that?

Someone help me with my new galaxy SIII

First off my English isn't perfect so its hard for me to understand how some things work.
I have a galaxy SIII I9300 4.1.1.
Can you upgrade a galaxy S3 4.1.1 to 4.2.1?
I want CM 10.1 on my galaxy S3 but i need version 4.1.1.
I once tried putting CM 10.0.0 on it but it wouldn't work, So i searched it up on google and it said i need a dutch version of Cm10.0.0 or something( My phone is dutch)( I am dutch )
If someone can help me i would realllllllyyy appreciate it. i have been youtubing and googling for a long time but cant find anything that really helps me.
So if you're that one nice guy that like to help me! Leave a post with your skype and we will talk!

If you want to install cgm 10.1 on your S3 you can download the zip file of the latest version of the Rom and if you have already rooted your S3 you have to install that zip using the recovery.
If you haven't rooted your s3 you have first of all to root it.
Where did you read that you need a particular version of the original rom to install cgm?

For now, no new. Very busy with my first job, but working on this project.
my ext is ext3. I read that the cwm is ext4 only. IS that a problem?
I've made a cwm back of my cm9 rom using cwm 5.0.2.6: when I change my ext 3 to ext4, can i still use my cm9 backup to restore using cwm?

Almost all roms are in ext4 file system. Btw, cwm works on all roms. It is px recovery that only supports ext4 roms. You can easily restore your backup, don't worry.

Extract the rom using winzip, etc., & see what file format you get.

port roms
i would love to port roms like miui, ubuntu, firefox os i don't know how to do it...If any one can help me to how to do it or some one porting i would like to join him...
It's the very old build which (in case I remembered correctly) randomly reboots, sound stutters, etc etc don't let me bash it anymore
Only if nVidia isn't proprietastic (yeah a made-up word) our phone would have been epic...
