White is a girl's phone color. To me, when the screen is off, the white phone looks like crap...white on the bottom and top and a big black screen. You don't have that issue with a black phone.

White for me. I dont think its a girls phone. It attracts alot of attention. Only downside is the zagg protector yellows after a while :-/

Love the grippy back on the black phone. Plus I think it will show less wear and tear over time than white\chrome. Also, when trying to decide, the light bleed on the buttons on the white phone really irritated me. So I went with black (to the poster above, Carbon Blue is black. there is nothing blue about it).
To each their own, don't want to be part of a flame war. It was just what led me to the decision (which I assume is what the OP is trying to do).
Had the black Note for about 3 weeks, then traded it for a white one. I've always had black phones and just wanted to switch it up. The white phone just looks fresh to me. I've got an Elago slim case and a SGP oleophobic screen protector on, so I'm not really worried about it getting dirty.
My note is black, my case is black, my headphones are black. But in the end it's just a color (or lack thereof depending on your perception). If they only offered just white, I would have got that and been just as happy. I say get the one you think is pretty and you'll be fine

I got the white note and have the brown flip case... Looks like a journal when i take it out of my pocket. I like the looks of the white and got a glas.t so no yellowing like with the zagg.

I like the white in theory, but as others noted (ha) the contrast of the black screen against the white case is a little stark, especially when the screen is so big.
The trim cracking is also a concern, so when I exchanged my carbon blue I stayed with that color. I recently helped my mom upgrade to a new iPhone and we got her a white one - she's quite happy with that, although black or dark cases on it look quite weird. My Note with a cheapo black TPU case looks excellent.

I don't like that the white one has a glossy back battery cover. The black looks nice when screen is off and I like the texture of black's battery door.
I have a hair line split on my white note, but the translucent cases look nice on the White Phone.
When did Samsung release a black version?

The black people are referring to is the carbon blue model, because the front face is actually black, and the back cover is basically black, with maybe a tiny tiny hint of blue in the right lighting. Easier to say black than carbon blue.

it's such a tough call. At first I was thinking "save the white for the fan boys", but after seeing the white today..... man is the white solid.
The Carbon Blue looks close enough to black so I'll say black. I'm not creative so I could never have a white phone...(a pun off the Samsung video) so do not flame me...

I beg to differ, they're both equally scratchable and any white-ish scratches that come up appear more on the black one.
If you're talking about the battery cover, it would look out of place with a black cover on a white phone anyway..

Dude, they have the same battery cover, every single thing is same on the phone except for the body colour! But, in my opinion i would say black because i think it doesn't get dirty easily. You can dust off any thing off the black one, whereas the white one gets all the dirty "black" stains very easily. Even if you by chance drop your phone somewhere outside, say on mud- the black one wont be as dirty as the white one will become.

It's all preference.
I liked the grey better, but that was because of the home button. The white didn't match in my eyes.
If you're looking to switch, may want to hold off because word is, a black version is coming out soon.

The grey looks less cheap, will hide dirt better, and the gd button doesn't stand out as much.
The white flip cover gets dirty on the inside of the cover quite quickly. The white however may lend itself better to the new coloured flip covers that are available. I don't know if grey and pastel-orange or blue will look so good.
I went with Grey. I had the white galaxy s3 and if you have a screen protector on the phone it starts looking dirty after awhile due to finger oil/dirt that happens to rub off.
Can't go wrong with either though.

I came to say similar things about the white one, lol.
I got a tpu hybrid case & it has black and clear parts to it, so it really looks nice over the white GNote, even if it wasn't I love the look of white on this, it really makes it pop

I got the grey simply because it almost blends the VZW logo in with the phone; you don't see it as much. Also, there are going to be a lot more cases that will be black as opposed to white, and unless you like serious contrasting colors, most cases will match the dark grey of the Note as opposed to the white color. Hope this helps.

I had a gs3 & it was a titanium Grey. I saw the white in person & it looks okay but the Grey has a premium look. I even waited on Amazon to get the Grey note 2 in. I would not accept the white lol.

The white looks sleek, but I like the grey better. Plus in not worried about it getting dirty and showing scuffs easily. But if you have the patience, wait for the black.

I prefer the gray version. My S III was white (and it was my first white phone) and while it's a nice look, I just feel that the gray looks better on the Note II.
What color G3 did you guys get? Are you happy with your choice? I played with the gold one at the store and it looks real nice..

I went with the black "Greyish" color. I'm happy with it.
I thought the gold one looked like a toy, so i went with the black. I really wish they would have had the white.
I went in to get the gold one, but when I looked at it, I thought it looked bad. I ended up getting the black/gray one.

I second the grey. But I would have loved a true black version.
I wanted a yellow one. Never saw one in the flesh though. As their exclusive to O2, the price premium over the grey wasn't worth paying for a colour.
The white one seemed cheap to me and coral is too much of a pastel colour. If it was vibrant then it might have been considered, briefly.

For some reason the white one looks plasticky. But the grey one looks rather premium. (in my opinion)

I've seen the grey and the white next to each other and I don't think the white looks cheap. Imho one could even say it looks apple-ish and as such has a premium flair.
If you like that sort of thing, go for the white one. I personally will get the grey.
I have yellow, and love it. It's not a real bright yellow, and the frosted glass over the phone just makes it look even smoother.

I like my white Z5c. I've also owned the Z1c and Z3c (both in white). I was mostly sold once I had it in my hand. It does have a pearlescent sheen on it...almost like a car but less glossy. I also liked the weight of it in hand. The Z3c almost felt "too light". The Z5c is closer to the weight of the Z1c which makes it feel "solid" in hand.
I do like that it doesn't really look like any other phone on the market right now so it definitely stands out a bit.
I love my yellow phone. So colorful. Unlike the other poster I think it is a bright yellow.
