FAQ HERE FOR ICS! READ IT!!!
ALSO READ THE 2ND POST!!!

1.) If ANYONE asks a question that's been answered in the FAQ or OP, DO NOT RESPOND TO THEIR POST. (It should hopefully force them to search)
2.) If ANYONE trolls this thread. DO NOT RESPOND. Me and Red5 will take care of it. (Leaves less cleanup for Red5 and we keep a clean thread)
3.) Leave personal opinions of each other out of this thread or do that stuff via PM.
4.) Have fun in this thread. As most of you know I like to joke around and keep things light. Not everything can be development related. It takes the fun out of these forums.
If we can all just do these simple things I'm sure this thread will get back to where in needs to be. More people including myself will actually like coming into this thread.

Not much, but I've found the CM9 kernel to be overall smoother, and it might be a fluke but I'd say it improved my battery life pretty dramatically.

I'm still in the fixing and tweaking phase. We have moved to using CM's RIL and I need to see what or if there are any differences with the one from AOSP. Besides the G1, there were no Nexus devices from HTC, and being my telephony is from aosp source we probably could benefit from some HTC added love in there.

If data is not working yet, you may have to backup apn settings on a rom that has data working and restore it. Unless you know how to set it for vzw. Until it's fixed, I'm pretty sure that's the issue because I had the same problem on another rom.

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
Who is Team Carbon?
Find out here:
Carbon Team
Remember, every peny you send to us goes right back into the rom. It's used for hardware, server costs, etc - all the things that help us make Carbon better with every release. Your support means the world to us! If you've enjoyed Carbon, please consider a donation toward this goal. Thank you, and we hope you continue to enjoy Carbon!

Ok, flashed.. and it boots, and works! Cool. But I don't see that second main screen with Google Now.. why? And "settings" button doesn't work in home screen menu. Is it possible to add option to edit quicksettings tiles and toggles?
EDIT: I changed the Launcher3 to GEL and it's perfect
EDIT2: Clicking on screen brightness toggle in quick settings -> clicking that gearwheel causes FC of interface.

idk if u got reply of pm or not.do check n let me know.having some net issues here.
What I see for now:
- browser lag (I know it's known)
- battery drain is high - it lasts for 24 hours now..
- some apps lag sometimes, but it's not so annoying as on 4.3.1
- Clicking on screen brightness toggle in quick settings -> clicking that gearwheel causes FC of interface.
- Once my phone lost network range, and I couldn't restore it.. Had to reboot device.
But 4.2.2 works fine, it's fast, have more free RAM, better memory management and so on
when you update, your work is wonderful

---------- Post added at 08:38 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:33 PM ----------
I have tried several jelly bean roms and i will always come back to gingerbread due to performance.
But Combination of your Kernel (SuperFusion ) and SuperJellyBean changed the scenario. Achieved performance in JellyBean.
Can we expect the same (or more performance) kind in KitKat, since google also stating, 4.4 can run smooth with 512MB ram itself?
All the best.. :good:
good work. i can confirm video recording works

Thanks mate, it works fine As smooth as alpha version, but with new features. I like those lockscreen options. Could u add the option to don't turn the screen on after connecting to charger? And the browser lag... is it fixed? I didn't checked it now, I'm afraid
And what about ART - would it be supported in the feature?
But performance and smoothnes is most important thanks!

Looks like you download the base ROM from the bottom of the giant quoted section with the change logs and the first link with MARC in the name...the file name has Verizon in it.

Must say this Rom is bad ass! If you like ASOP Roms you will love this, even 3minit works! Battery life so far is great as well.
This looks nice.

The only trouble I had was it didn't like my google account. I setup a new one and all was fine. Did you select "no recovery" and "no kernel" on install?

Wow from flashing the rom? Got to be more to it.
Sent from my Beastly powered S4 using Tapatalk
Negative. I flashed the rom and my modules, all looked good. Hit restart and it turned off, never to turn on again. Im going to have to replace my phone because of this ****. Its not a soft brick whee i can just flash a new image and start over. All that requires the phone be able to at least turn on.
Did you use the aroma installer
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app
Wow. I had something similar happen to me. One of the AOSP roms screwed my phone up had to replace my MDK with mk2

Same thing happened to me, just use the other full patch(the older one).

You shouldn't really be stuck. You can always skip the wifi setup and do it later (after you reboot and flash your modules). Your 4G should work.

What it does is it won't let u connect to wifi and then it will soft reboot over and over. By using the older SS full patch the problem was gone.

FAQ and Know issues:
when probam in black turn on , the systemui make force close
try to switch off black ui then restart and try enable it again
after dirty flash the device hangs and systemui make force close
you need to make wipe all and clean cache and make fresh install in this case
when try video recoding the device freeze or slow down
screen video record with ondemand or pegasusq governors u will have a laggy recorded video. If you try with performance governor from performance in settings , then the video will be a lot smoother.
Camera crashing some times and not works anymore "camera not connected"
the rom included an small application "camera restart" you can use it for fix this issue
titanium recovery not restore my applications
For those who cannot find their previous files, because CM based rom will target the sdcard storage to use root/0/ directory.
So normally all the files besides the root/0/ directory will not be shown on the file explorer.
To solve this, you will need a file browser that has ROOT capability, eg. Root Explorer
then go to mnt/shell/emulated/ all your file should be here.
Now move all the files into mnt/shell/emulated/0/ folder.
Should solve the problem.
Privacy guard IS working?
after enabling privacy guard in security settings
you have to switch to settings>apps and then choose to enable or disable each app individually.
I'm sure nobody would want to tick every single app, that would almost be the same as enabling airplane mode.
General Questions:

Is this ROM compatible with Xposed Framework?

if you go back and read the first post it says xposed framework.. and yes the xposed framework is working
cm 11 theme is also working.. as for the kernel i haven't tried it yet but dorimanx's beta kernels should work(maybe!! )
EDIT..:: dorimanx's kernel works with BLN and slide to wake functions too..

---------- Post added at 08:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:58 PM ----------
ok after Flash here what i got:
1-Boot animation isn't properly re-sized.
2- Plz remove Hover button from Status Bar, or make an option for that.
3- Why does ask for root almost every setting in settings? u have custom settings.apk?
4- i like the AOSB recents, they look nice, they would look nicer if u try to implement Material UI wich is cardview (cant remember name)
btw can u add circle Ram status over remove all button instead of RAM bar? and a option to re-size AOSB recents, they look a bit big, i like the favorite call logs on recents to!
5- Can u add option to change colors of clock and batttery text & battery, thx.
6-Looks smooth, everything good so far, il keep testing,
7- can u add an option to remove Privacy Guard notification? i got Aviate and i block location request and its anoying to have notifcation always...
PS:Il recommend this ROM nice job, keep it up!
---EDIT--
im getting some SystemUI FC, everything works, but sometime it FC.

I agree, too SystemUI FC, could you add the ability to edit SMS and MMS (bubbles, colors ...), it really is a great ROM, this ROM is my favorite. Thanks for your work.

I use this colors http://flatuicolors.com you just pick one, flat colors look nicer than normal ones... just sayin...
For the rom, there is need to update with the new CM code to fix SystemUI FC, and WIFI FC with themes... the battery life isn´t the best maybe compile it with linaro and other mods might improve battery life...
U guys can change too Recents Alpha % to make it darker, its away to white and Remove all button is almost invisible, and it should be bigger, in AOSB recents! nothing more for now...

Thanks buddy. I tried this rom for a couple of days. The animations are slow and were giving me a headache. I tried fiddling with the values but to no use. But that's a personal issue. The rom works well and has all the needed features.
AOSB version 1.3.7 with #android 4.4.4 r2 coming soon!! :highfive:
coming soon!! = 1-2 months?
