Sonic 4 Episode 1 isn't available on the Play Store for our Galaxy Y (unlike Sonic CD, which runs perfectly!). But I've downloaded it, installed it and have all the data files downloaded. The game loads perfect and everything can be seen normally... except until you start to play! All the menues, level select screens, etc, all look normal. But textures are missing from the actual gameplay. Could I use Chainfire to maybe help sort out the graphics, or is there nothing that can be done? As I mentioned, Sonic CD is flawless in comparison, though maybe that's why we can't have it...

our Galaxy Y only supports 240x320 qvga screen unlike Sonic CD, and sonic 4 ep.2 which is compatible to our devices. even chainfire cant make it right though. dont worry i am finding a way to fix this

I don't think its a fake, because on other videos you can see the galaxy 3 running raging thunder 2 and such games. I can't even play raging thunder 2 XD also not with version 1.0.9 ^^
It is possible, but you need to download by PC the SD Data for that game.
Pls tell me how to do that^^

At first you have to download the game, I don't no if I'm allowed to post links here or not. I have downloaded it from pandaapps. Simple type it into google^^.
1. Download the .apk and the SD files of the game.
2. extract the SD files
3. Make a file folder calles: gameloft on the root of your sdcard. In the gameloft folder make a new folder called: games (gameloft and games have to be written small)
4. Extract the SD files to /sdcard/gameloft/games
5. Now install the .apk and play^^

OK Guys I have done it with the HD version 3.1.1^^ from pandaapp. And Rekooo I don't know how old you are, but I'm 16, and my parents had installed such a programm on my pc, that closes such sites^^
Yes, and the only two games I could made run till now are Dungeon Hunter and GT Motor academy^^.
And for those who think the hardware is crap^^ I have compared galaxy 3 with IPhone 3gs ^^ and our processor is nearly 70MHz stronger^^ and the ram is exactly the same. Our phone is no crap, the only problem is, that there are no 3d drivers for our device yet. Hope a dev could make one, or some people write to samsung^^

Well, I think without a dedicated GPU or 3D Drivers we can wait a long time until all those high-end games run normally on the G3.
I've tried Dungeon Hunter and GT Racing myself. Dungeon Hunter wouldn't let me get into the 1st city, no idea why. GT Racing's framerate was just to sloppy though.. :/
I know in games wiyh other racers it lags. But dungeon hunter works very good on my device.
A race game that i would recommend is raging thunder^^ works without lags^^

it's simple.. you have to found game which you want - game must supporst hvga (320x480) resolution.. and then put files on sd + install apk, most games are on 3+1pda.ru

Just download other files to get the suitable resolution. Recently I downloaded Asphalt5 and Gangster Miami Vice with a higher resolution and I was not able 2 use all of the buttons in the top lol

Hello all .. i know that maybe somebody would have experienced that already but cant seem to find anything right on to help me.
I have issues with Gameloft games when trying to play them on my note, i installed chainfire3d and when i try to play some of them game here is what happen as examples.
Dungeon hunter 2 = it seems to all go as it should, but then the loading screen is too small (resolution) and then it closed and it goes back to my phone ...
Assassin's creed = everything goes good but then the game appears being too small in resolution, the graphic all crap and the controls are warped (need to touch higher in the screen to control)
Is it because the versions i got are not for our note i717 (i717M in my case) and they dont adapt to that resolution ? and if it is the case is there not a way to play with resolution to make certain app or game be in a different resolution ?
Other game i have problem with as well = Super Mario bros, backstab hd ...
The ones that seems to go good for now = eternal legacy (excellent btw eventhough the game is smaller than the screen i have), dungeon hunter 1 is all good too.
Anybody has an idea to solve my problem and have these excellent games working on our notes ?

Thanks for the info, i did check and have problems with some of them even if HD
Examples : Spiderman HD has graphic distortion when on the first page of the game (maybe my files ?)
Backstab HD just close by itself
Nova 2 HD same thing .. close by itself
Avatar HD has the left side (with the virtual stick) working and image ok but the right side vitual buttons are not at the same place as shown so you have to guess where to press (again seems a resolution issue)
Is there parameter in my note that i can set for auto adjust to resolution or something or is it Chainfire3d ? or something else ?
Anybody got any more ideas? Would it be that I have to get the hd version for the galaxy note specifically?
Another example is the hd game the settlers hd that gives all white instead of proper graphic even if I've tried different combinations with chain fire 3d

Nfs hot pursuit, over kill, dead space, roc, heavy gunner, air attack hd, trial x2, worms, temple run, x construct and marble maze are just a few I use.
When over locked to 1.2 GHz the vast majority of games run much faster.
Shadowgun, Zoo Keeper, Doodle Jump etc. have all been working fine on my 5.0.
newly ported and upgraded temple run, worms aswell, great little war game, ground effect, cordy, pocket god, minecraft pocket edition and of course shadowgun (this is just a list of all the games I have theyre all very good though)
I'm very addicted to asphalt 6 and Modern combact 3

Change the device model on the build prop (make sure to back up the build prop) i have the YP-G1(US) and i changed just the model to GT-I9000 save the changes and reboot after that go on the browser and go to gameloft.com if it says your device is GT-I9000 then your good i will post a link for HD games like modern combat 3 and asphalt 6 and others

Forgot to tell you i used es file explorer go to settings and enable root explorer tap on the star then on the phone icon the go to system and go down and its the build.prop open it with es note editor and look for ro.product.model (mine was ro.product.model=YP-G1 then i changed the YP-G1 to GT-I9000)

Hey guys, as we all know SGY's has no GPU, so it isnt capable of playing HD games like SG Mini.
We also know we can play *some* HD games through the use of chainfire 3d.
I am making this thread so we can all share the HD games we play and what chainfire combinations we use to play them. (Note do not post warez. Just post the titles of the games you play)

(Im doing this because there are a lot of sites out there claiming to run some HD games but really arent. For example, I downloaded Legendary Heroes from this certain site, the author claimed that it was "tested" on SGY and was working. I downloaded it and it didnt work despite following all instructions. Also there were a lot of comments that it didnt work for other people using SGY either. He only got my hopes up and wasted my time downloading the files.
On a reply to a comment of one guy, he said it was tested on SGY stock rom 2.3.4 which was shocking considering SGY's release was 2.3.5
In a latter comment he replied that we "skip" it because a lot of games on his site doesnt work on SGY, despite him stating earlier that it was tested on SGY.)
There are a lot of "poser" sites out there so be careful. They might be wasting your time with downloading huge games which wont work on your phone anyways, or worse, which can even include some viruses...

I play fifa 10 hd on my sgy. In chainfire3d, i load the qualcomm plugin and tick the 'reduce texture quality'. I tried assassin's creed too, but its resolution was too big despite ticking the required boxes in chainfire3d.

after u install chainfire 3d nd install the drivers.. after reboot, U'll find Default OpenGL settings... U will find the options there!!

I knew it had a GPU. What I meant to say was it had NO GPU compatible for gaming (unlike mini, fit, ace, etc.)
if you install chainfire 3d with shader and driver, it somehow makes many of unplayable 3D and HD games playable on galaxy Y. i think what the app does is to provide a working script on how the galaxy y GPU handles all the textures and stuff of those games.

I tried to play Brothers in Arms 2 Free+. Changed ro.product.model to GT-I9000 (else the app says my device is incompatible), installed v1.1.8 of BIA2 and started it. Download of game files worked but when I then start the game, there's only a loading indicator in the middle and after a few seconds the app closes. Anyone knows how to fix it/get it working?
Got a problem in my AC guys. When I click on 'play' from the main menu, the loading page appears and after a while the game force closes. Does anyone know the solution?
