If anyone Thinks This Should Be removed Im only Trying to Help Some Non-Experianced People With Issues With Custom Roms and Flashing (Such as myself But I'd say I Know Quite a bit).
This is Only a Backup! Kind Of development Not a Theme or ROM just Backup!
Reassons Why You may need this:
*Incase You Flash a Bad Zip Which Gives Errors
*Just To Feel Stock ICS
*Wanting Custimization In a Certain Boundry
*Less Dangerous (Not sure about this But Put it here anyways )
*FileSize
*You Can restore Data/system/boot/cache With CWM using Advanced Restore
*Just Requires a Simple Kernel Such as Doom's Advanced Stock ICS kernel.
*Could Be a Base for Your Development or Theme
How to Install Noob Guide (Only for People Who have No clue How to Flash even tho You should Leave Now if you dont know what your doing )
Step 1) Download the fastboot Package and Install Drivers By Going to Device manger and enter fastboot (via Holding search While Device off, Then Your PC should Try to locate Drivers If everything Goes well It will Fail.
Then Manually Click Browse for them and go to were your Fastboot is But When you get here -->Fastboot-->Fastboot.exe & Drivers Just seelect Drivers and click ok.
Step 2) Now drivers are installed You can Move the boot.img file whatever the kernel name is to the fastboot folder Keep It in that Directory.
Rename the kernel to Boot.
step 3) Now we can Hold Shift and whilst holding Right Click and Open "Command Prompt here".
Step 4) Type the command If you want to Flash and stay In Fastboot and manually reboot:
"Fastboot flash boot boot.img" Ignore the (").
If you wish to Hotboot it do the following:
"fastboot boot boot.img".
step 5) Spam back button or Volume down Untill You Get In CWM if you have not got the backup in the location then go to "mounts and storage" In CWM. Click Mount and makesure SD card is Mounted it should say this if it is "Unmount SD".
Then Just Copy the files over.
Step 6)Go to "Backup and Restore" and Click The backup "File name" If you rename the backup makesure there are no spaces or you'' Get MD5 Mismatch.
Remember to extract the Zip to ClockWorkMod-->Backup-->Backup here.
[disclamer]
In no means Is this a ROM its a Backup for many purpose and requires an Unlcoked Bootloader Not having so will Result In a Bootloop or Your Phone Wont boot.
This does not act upon a ROM or Theme just a Backup so please use Custom ROMs If there Is anything You wish to add Comment Below and State What you Woould Like.
[Is there Something That you Own and Dont want it in this Backup?]
I understand If you want me to Remove something in this Backup Please Tell me Why and I will Be most happy to remove it, But this is actually making your Thing well Known but ah well.

u should know... the shift+Rclick doesn't work on Windows XP OS.
I had a verry hard time figuring where do people see this command line when i was using windows xp.
And when selecting fastboot drivers in device manager, windows xp doesn't have the option to automatically search for the proper drivers inside the entire "drivers" folder.. u'll have to manually select the proper .inf file.. wich ofcourse i didn't know the good one since there are many. the automatic search for the driver is only available in windows 7 (and vista?)
thought u should mention it.

Boss use google ..
Download and install 'right click open cmd here' from xp power toys..
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk

Or just use cd command in cmd to change cmd directory
Sent from my R800i using xda premium

Or buy a WIndows System Upgrade for like £40/$50/60
Or iNstall linux/Ubuntu Really good Im using it!

Just an FYI, CDMA users of ICS Sony Beta are still encountering problems with it actually working, so you might wanna wait to "support" CDMA until we get it spot on.

[ONLINE ROM LIBRARY, GUI & Android TOOL for HTC PHONES]

We've updated a bit....
Download Link: [Here]
We now have a complimentary app on the app store for this A4D App.
What is A4D?
The goal of A4D is for us to move beyond just N1 make it an all in one flashing/upgrading/android utility. We just added a ROM library with MD5s. We are not going to be hosting the actual ROMs by themselves so if you report a dead link, they will be taken down (after a number of reports). You can also add your own ROMs as well into the library.
The ROM library will be supported by both Android and Desktop App. We are rewriting the Desktop apps so that we can do all 3 platforms in one, Linux, Windows, and Mac. You'll love the layout of the app. That's all we can say for now.
Oh one more thing. The android app won the best android app award at the Mobile in the Middle Hack-a-thon over the weekend in Chicago (on 3/6/2010).
I would like you guys to try out the app and tell us feedbacks. Also feel free to add your own ROMs to the Database and tell us how we can make the DB better. There a number of features we are trying to add as well. But with our full time jobs... things are going a little slower than we wanted. Sorry.
Requirements to run the app on Android: Amon_RA's recovery. That's what we tested it with.

Reserved for Future Updates / Changelog
Can't wait to see if this is fool proof.
Add md5 check. Make it in this way: user have to enter/copy-past md5 hashsum from forum/site. Program calculates md5 of image and says image is good or bad. Also you can disable flashing with out this check. ;-)
good idea. Will do that. That will help with flashing screwed up downloads.
Hi
Thank you for sharing the application.
Does it flash the radio too? I mean CyanogenMod has two files a radio ROM and a CyanogenMod ROM. Does it flash both of them to the phone?
Thanks.
Radio flash is in there we took it out. May do so in the next release but radio flashing is dangerous (can brick phones) so...
Hey Lwin,
Nice concept man, this is gonna prove very handy for many peeps.
You've come up trumps again
So, this is a desktop application?
Does it flash ROM's from your desktop or copy them over and just run the commands on the phone for you?
I ask, as I'm having some problems flashing now, based round a slightly faulty Micro SD card. Does it store backups on the phone or on your desktop PC?
This program is written so you don't have to do command line commands. Everything else remains the same. If you are doing a Nand backup, it goes where it used to go.
I would recommend fixing your "slightly faulty Micro SD card" by getting a new card.
nice app for those that aren't familiar with cmd or jus pure...lazy lol
maybe the screens should be bigger as quite hard to see clearly whats available.
Pure Genius...

Here is the GUI tool for unlocking, updating, restoring, flashing of the N1 (and in theory should work on all HTC androids).
Try it out and see if it is useful. The tool is made to help for people with very basic skills since the tool at this stage is a wrapper for the shell commands at this point.
Again, as usual, we take no responsibility for loss of sleep, loss of phone or screw ups on our side (due to app) or on your side (due to lack of ability to follow instructions).
I wish to make it more simple. We welcome feed backs.

There will be a mac port sometime this week. I can most likely port to linux too but if you know linux and if you have to use wrapper, you have an issue
install issues
I tried to install it but got a system update required....
extracted the sdk to the folder C:\android-sdk-windows
extracted android4dummies and clicked setup
I get a pop up with the following:
unable to install or run the application. the application requires that system assembly system.data, entry version 3.5.0.0 be installed in the global system cache.....???
What do I do now?
Sounds like the app uses .NET framework 3.5.
So goto microsoft website an get 3.5 .Net Framework.

You do need .Net 3.5. It should have asked you, if not installed that as a prerequisite.
I went to MS and downloaded the .net 3.5 installed it (apparently it was already on my pc, so instead of installing I tried to repair it. no success....

Can you send us a screenshot.
Do not unzip into C:\android-sdk-windows. App will install SDK or search for the SDK there.
Unzip on your desktop or temp and install from there.
just to be clear, I unzipped adroid sdk and placed in the mentioned location. the android4dummies is extracted on the desktop and executed from there..
so should I remove the SDK and retry?

[TUT] Install Alpha android 2.2 on your wave. UPDATE 11-7

READ FIRST
Hey,
Welcome to this tut. It's been active for a few months now but there are some things many users and the dev's want to tell you.
1. DO NOT ask questions about when things are finished.
2. Before you ask an question use the SEARCH THIS THREAD button
3. Post tut related questions in THIS THREAD, so do NOT POST QUESTIONS IN THE DEV THREAD
4. Use the THANKS button when you get your answer.
5. Don't ask questions like "I've done everything but it doesnt work" we really can't help you with such a question cause we don't know where what goes wrong..
If your post is violating one of these "thread rules" (don't call then real rules...) then we'll just report your post. getting it deleted.. etc. etc..
For our "Wise" users here (i mean the ones who actually READ before they post) Don't go flame on users asking stupid questions just leave them allone and REPORT the post
Thanks & Enjoy.

EXT2 IMG Filesystem: Part1 Part2
FOTA: MegaUpload (Restored old one)
Ok before we start. The tutorial is now 100% Rewritten. But you still need to read carefully
Notice
Clean out your ENTIRE bada storage first cause we will need almost everything of it
Notice2: This project is still in ALPHA Stage. So don't expect a fully awesome working version yet.
In this version all KNOWN fixes are implented except for root
1. Download all the needed files, when you've done so extract the ZIP with the zImage stuff in it and place it in you bada storage root. (you can extract the .001 with 7-zip)
(i made the Images URLS's because they're to big)
1b. Connect your phone and put it in Mass Storage mode
You should copy your files like the Images below
Bada Storage root:
http://ShadowAS1.com/badadroid/storageroot1.png
This should be inside your storage root:
http://ShadowAS1.com/badadroid/storageroot2.png
This should be inside your galaxyboot folder:
http://ShadowAS1.com/badadroid/storageroot3.png
So inside the sorage root should be your galaxyboot folder and the makext2img.sh
inside the galaxyboot folder should be zImage, SBL.bin and the .IMG file
2.Then you should shut down your phone and boot it in download mode:
Vol Down+Camera+Power and you will see DOWNLOAD MODE on the screen
3.Open up multiloader and take over my config here:
http://shadowas1.com/badadroid/multiloader.png
When you click port search the name "LISMORE" should/can popup next to the right COM port
Now click download and wait for it to finish
Okay, now your phone is ready for the first android run
Boot it by holding power+menu+vol up: (see image)
http://shadowas1.com/badadroid/IMG_0052.JPG
Then this should popup (after the SGS screen)
DO NEVER, ABSOLUTELY NEVER PULL OUT BATTERY OR TOUCH THE PHONE IN THIS PROCESS
http://shadowas1.com/badadroid/IMG_0050.JPG
This can take up to 5 minutes.
Now, Two things can happen
1. The phone boots bada
2. The phone shuts down
In any of this cases your phone is absolutely fine. If you have case 2 you can boot bada to check if everythings alright if you wish.
Assuming we all boot bada shut down the phone again
Boot android in the normal way by holding the Power and Call key
=====Removing Android from your bada partitions======
On request i add this one, In order to remove all android stuff put the "mkext2images-remove.sh" in your bada storage root and boot recovery mode again
Goodluck, ShadowAS1
Good Luck,
ShadowAS1

If some of you are having problems installing VMware due to processor requirements, we can still use the Ubuntu live CD and use gparted disk utility..
Also, we can also use a live CD version of gparted.. just search it at Google..

Hi!
I have followed all the steps.
Now I'm in the First-time Run section and when I start Android (end call and then start call buttons) the screen flashes, then the Galaxy S screen appears. After 6-7 seconds, blank screen and... Samsung Wave and Bada screens with bada startup!
I saw other member in other post having the same issue, but he had still no answer.
Any idea?
Yeap, still same problem as mcmollo after following this guide as well ...

{TOOL}Auto_Flasher_V4.5---3/4/12 (Beta) Update 1.5Hboot support

Hey Kids, I figured it was getting kind of boring around here so I'm releasing a little tool I've been using for a while now. It's just what it says, an "Auto Flasher". It will flash any rom, any kernel, backup data, restore data, fix permissions, etc. With full wipe function or just a cache and delvik wipe. All from the comforts of your pc. Just plug in your evo3d with usb debugging enabled and some room on your sdcard and off you go. Oh, almost forgot. This will also Odex all your system apk's if you like. It's on the menu. Even if you have some odexed, it will skip over those.
Things to do first:
1. Run the AF4.5setup.exe. Choose a location (I like the desktop) to run it from. It will create a folder called Auto Flasher V4.5.
1.a Run the 2.08setup.exe and the 2.17setup.exe *(these are just RUU 2.08 and RUU 2.17. Download them even if you already have them. The exe will install them to the proper folder.)
2. Open the Auto Flasher V4.5\Place-Files-Here\ROM folder and copy paste your rom of choice.
3. Open the Auto Flasher V4.5\Place-Files-Here\Kernel folder and copy paste your kernel of choice (if your flashing a kernel).
4. Make sure USB debugging is on and you have about 500 mb on your sdcard.
5. If you need HTC drivers, look in the \Drivers folder. (Install them first).
6. Run the Auto_Flasher_V4.5.bat.
7. Sit back with a brew and watch the show. (It will prompt you a couple of times for some yes and no questions).
NOTES:
I had to separate the .exe's because of file size limitations on DevHost. If your not doing a firmware change then you don't need them. But I recommend you download them.
When restoring data, run your rom first for a couple of minutes. I found everything takes nicer.
When running "11. Fastboot Radio/Wimax Flasher" Please make sure you don"t interrupt this. You won't like the results. If something goes wrong, you will have to flash your radio manually because you'll be in a nasty bootloop.
This is a beta release. Many improvements on the way.
Disclaimer:
If you say I bricked your phone. I will laugh. Nothing this does can't be undone with a nand restore. So for the love of god, DO A NAND BACKUP FIRST!!!

Edit: For those who have downloaded V4 before 2/27/12, don't use the Auto_Flasher_V4.exe. There's some thing wrong with it. Instead, I've attached Auto_Flasher_V4.bat (unzip it of course). Place that in the \Auto Flasher V4\Auto Flasher V4 directory were adb.exe and all the other files are. Run that instead. Other wise redownload the whole thing again. New link is up.

I receive the good ol' "Auto_Flasher_V3.exe is not a valid Win32 application" error.
Thoughts? I find it hard to believe that I have downloaded multiple bad copies.

Sorry about that. I figured it out and have made changes in V4.
Update V4
Just put up V4. Many improvements. Give it a try.
the link in the first page says THERE IS NO FILE.
please be kind to upload your latest version.
thanks very much.
New Link
For those who have downloaded V4 before 2/27/12, don't use the Auto_Flasher_V4.exe.

Hey guys, I need someone with Hboot 1.50 to test this. I'm on 1.40. I believe you need to use the HTC Unlock Hboot 1.50 method first found here http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader . Then just use the tool. Thanks.
Will HBOOT 1.5 users be able to flash new radios/wimax with this without having to run the latest ruu? Thanks

It is only v1.x so it is sure to have some errors.
If you find any, post them here If i don't respond to them then PM me.
I will try to find and fix as fast as possible.
This comes with all of the files that you will need.
Windows only.
You *may* need to install ADB here:
http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
You will need to download most of the stuff and install it once you get it.
For anyone who doesn't get any devices found before or after the reboot into fastboot. Make sure you have the HTC drivers installed. Get HTC sync from their site then simply open and run the installer then close the HTC sync process. It tends to interfere with your connection and you want the drivers not the program.
My program is now likely to brick your device. It hasn't bricked anyone's yet and probably won't ever. It's 99% noob proof.
DO NOT CHANGE THIS PROGRAM AND CALL IT YOUR OWN!!!!!!!!
SCAN FOR VIRUSES IF YOU WANT TO. THERE ARE NONE.
v1.0 Initial Release DONT USE EXE FILE DOESNT WORK. WONT EXECUTE THE ADB AND FASTBOOT CMDS

EDIT---
Apparently this was not as easy to use as I intended. Here are some quick instructions to get you started.
1. Who is responsible for damage? You are. The answer to the question is "me"
2. You should now be on the menu. From here, if you are a noob/trying to unlock, do 1 and follow the whole process. It should explain it well, and i know it works i rooted a new device in around 5 minutes.
3. If you wan to flash another recovery, use the "util" option at the menu, select recovery and drop your recovery into the recoveries folder. From here you just type its name.
4. If you want to use a custom command that is launched from the root folder, use "cust" this makes it so you do not have to use "cd c:/Android". For ease of use.
5. If the process does not work, i know for sure there are other tutorials on xda and other sites. I am not a 100% pro at this.
Didn't u already have a thread with this ?

ClockWork Mod recovery wont install on prime!!!

Does anyone else have the issue where the Clockwork mod wont install. I have tried using rom manager, and did the terminal and pushing the blob file through but it just refuses to install. All the transformer does is give me a logo. The next step i tried is using the Goo manager to install the recovery but same thing, it refuses to boot to it or install technically!!
PLEASE HELP! does anyone know what im doing wrong or if there is a way to fix this?
(if this is the wrong forum for this please inform me immediately.)

On an unlocked device I don't think there can be aproblem to install a recovery.
All methods (terminal one or apps like Rom Manager and Goo) are in fact the same, copying the img or blob file in the flash partition, and the real flash occurs at next boot.

yes should be in Q & A
1. YOU ARE NOT RUNNING ASUS SOFTWARE ANYMORE. THAT IS WHY ASUS PROVIDED A WARNING WHEN YOU UNLOCK. YOU SHOULD EXPECT ISSUES WITH ROMS, IT IS BOUND TO HAPPEN.
2. The full wipe of the internal SD is for a fresh start. Its basically the same as re-installing windows, Kiss all your stuff goodbye unless you back it up beforehand. Don't cry to use that you lost your stuff because you decided to rush and not read the menu and select the correct choice.
3. Team Wookie are normal people with normal jobs and somewhat normal families that in turn this things take priority first, NOT YOUR PRIME. If issues arise we will work best with you as long as you are respectful and not a prick towards the team demanding stuff. We will address these issues on our clock, not yours.
4. Any future things you would like to see in future editions of this ROM please send me a PM and I will forward the information on to the rest of the team to discuss if it is possible. Keep in mind that we will not include paid apps in this rom because we will not rob out of other developers pockets for their hard work and also dropping the soap in prison leads to bad things that we want to avoid. JUST BECAUSE A REQUEST IS MADE IT DOES NOT GUARENTEE THAT IT WILL BE HONORED OR IN THE NEXT VERSION WHENEVER IT COMES OUT.
5. Team Wookie greatly appreciates all it's followers and feedback so don't ever think that your not appreciated, at least when it comes to a rom on a tablet level, the rest of your real world life is on you.
6. RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH. We know there are a lot of posts now, 178ish pages and growing, please search through these pages to see if a solution has been found to your problem first before posting.
7. This is not the forum to ask how do I root my tablet or flash a rom. There are plenty of other threads on XDA and videos on youtube that explain how to do it with the current version software that you have.
This has been a public service announcement from Team Wookie, Long live the rebellion.

Download goo manager from the play store and in the upper right hand corner select recovery. It will ask for superuser permissions then let it do its thing. However it will not show a progress bar or anything but rather just go back to the main menu. Just wait a few minutes and you will ge a pop up saying it is now installed.

This is not an issue because the rom is designed to work this way and I have flashed it this way many times. I have a video coming up shortly showing the whole install from twrp to desktop, im just editing it now. If anyone is feeling scared about doing this before you flash get the adb software package and try to push a test file to your tablet ( i just made a test.txt file) and see if it actually works. If the poop hits the fan then you know you can always push the zip file back because you confirmed ADB working with your computer and tablet.
For those having ADB issues follow this guide I made up. the best thing to do is to try to push a test file before you flash is you are going to super wipe and if you are really that nervous about it. This is based off of windows 7 64 bit but should be the same for windows 7 32 bit. I can confirm this works. Regardless ADB is good to have if you run any Android devices, not just this ROM so in case poop ever hits the fan here ya go:
This solved it for Winblows 7 64 bit. For others having the same problem on Winblows 7 64 bit (should be the same for 32 bit miuns the X86 Directory)
1. Go into settings on the prime and make sure USB debugging has a check in it in under SYSTEM > Developer options > USB Debugging
2. Plug your prime into your Winblows 7 laptop and let it install its drivers. Open up device manager by going to Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > and click on device manager under devices and printers. If you see at the top of device manager ASUS Android devices and when you expand it you see ASUS Android Composite ADB Interface you already have the ADB drivers installed and can skip down to #6
3. Go to ASUS website and download the USB drivers for the TF201. Download Vipermod Primetime 4.6 here for the ADB drivers http://goo.im/devs/viperboy/Prime/vi...eTime_v4.6.zip then extract the zip file to a normal file. You only need the drivers from the tool.
4. Plug your prime into your Winblows 7 laptop and let it install its drivers. Open up device manager by going to Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > and click on device manager under devices and printers.
5. You should see the prime listed under portable devices. Uninstall the driver then update the driver manually. Browse to the folder you created from the Vipermod primetime zip. Make sure there is a check in check sub folders. Winblows should detect the drivers and then convert the prime to a ASUS Android Device.
6. Go into settings on the prime and make sure there is no check in Launch ASUS Sync under PERSONAL > Accounts & Sync > Launch ASUS Sync
7. Press Control, Shift, Escape at the same time and make sure there are no instances of ASUS Sync or Splashtop runnung in services in Winblows 7.
8. Download and Install the latest Android SDK. I installed all the libraries and such just to be on the safe side. http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
9. DISCONNECT YOUR PRIME FROM THE USB AND REBOOT YOUR PRIME AND YOUR WINBLOWS LAPTOP. After both devices reboot plug in your tablet into your Winblows laptop.
10. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools and click on the ADB file. A command prompt will open and spool up a bunch of stuff then close. All the stuff spooling I am assuming was the ADB server starting.
11. Hold down shift then right click inside platform-tools folder and select open command prompt here. You should be in a command prompt window showing the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools
12. type adb devices. You should see your primes serial number pop up.
13. make a test file in the platform-tools directory, i just used a simple text file to test then type:
adb push test.txt /sdcard/
It would be easier to just put the Rom you are going to flash in this directory so when it is time to push the rom it would be:
adb push nameofrom.zip /sdcard/
If SDCARD not recognized try:
adb push nameofrom.zip /system/media/
14. browse to your sdcard and you should see your file there. If you are already in the sdcard folder window on your prime, leave the folder then come back and it should be there.
15. You should be able to push files now after superwiping. You may need to push to /system/media/ if /sdcard/ is not found. Make sure you have all the / in the directory structure when pushing.
16. From inside recovery select install zip from sdcard and browse to the folder you pushed it to then flash awa

So with those steps it still hasn't installed recovery! So the thing is that i have full root, and my prime is unlocked, but it just WONT install recovery using any app or manually! Is there a idea on why my prime wont let me?
(Thanks for that long answer btw i tried a lot of it but stil no dice )
Have you tried twrp? The link is HERE. I found its more reliable on the prime. Just my opinion.

I will deff try it when i get home from work thank you i will let you know later! (THANKS SO MUCH FOR SOME MORE ADVICE ON THIS)
Ok just to be sure. You did unlock through asus? And you are rooted I know you said you have but just want to make sure. The only reason you wouldnt be able to flash a recovery is if your not unlocked. Just trying to rule out the obvious.
Simple steps:
1-Unlock prime
2-Download the ROM of your choice.
3-Download Goo Manager from the Play Store. Open it and hit menu - Install OpenRecoveryScript. The app will ask for su perms and may exit back to the main screen. Hit the install button again and the app will download the recovery, flash it and reboot. You'll see the flashing process and your tablet will reboot again. At this point you can hold vol down, then up to enter recovery.
4-Flash ROM
5-Profit!!
Doesn't get any easier, takes about 10 minutes for everything.
I used the multi root tool, viper mods tool I think it was, from a long time ago that was designed for rooting the .15 firmware, even though I was on .21 or .28 and I didn't use it to root, I only used the option to install recovery, which installs the latest TWRP recovery when I had a similar issue.
It worked great, I just ran the program on the computer and told it to install recovery.
