[Q] Price? - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

How much would you think would be a fair price for a hardly used non-scratched or dents premium device (Transformer Prime ) with matching Dock?
I have my prime+Dock+ Box's+ the tablet is full body Zagg shielded.
Hardly use it and just thinking about selling it but I dont want to be cheaped and i dont want to be abusive in pricing.
and for the record it works with wifi, bluetooth and bootloader still locked.
GPS doesnt work.

From what I've seen the Prime is still fetching close to the original price or better at this time. I've only found one retailer selling new units for 50.00 off the suggested retail price of $499.00 USD. Hope this helps.

Assuming you paid $500 for the Prime and $150 for the dock, I'd sell it for about $575-$600.
That what I would try with my Prime and dock, and I don't even have the Zagg Shield.
Let us know how much it sells for if you do sell it

I'd say $625 at the highest. Maybe around $590.

You need to check the reputation of the seller before you buy from E-Bay.
And even than you are not sure about the quality of the battery.
The best is to buy the original battery recommended by HTC.
Actually, the best thing to do is, whenever you even remotely consider buying something from ebay, have a friend whack you in the head with a brick. There's a reason why the prices on ebay are so low...it's cause 99% of the products are either advertised as something they are not, or the seller is a straight up scammer and won't send you anything at all. Feedback is useless; there are networks of scammers out there who generate feedback for each other that appears to be legitimate.
If I sound a bit disgruntled, I'm sorry, but so far over the past 3 months I've lost over 500$ on ebay and STILL waiting for paypal dispute resolution to take care of it.

......................although; one can always have a great experience, bar the 2 cars I have bought! (Cars were under £200!)
Ebay is good but you have to do alot of research, just received the Seinheiser CX500 headphones.......fantastic and the world is far away due to the quality.........
Will
That's cool...I know I have had SOME good transactions on ebay, but I just hate the fact that when things go wrong they seem to tell you that they will help fix it when they dont...they need to regulate things more, because there are so many scammers on ebay...i would bet my life that there are at least 100 people gettimg scammed right this second
BTW Seinheiser is great..I've tried those and I liked them
For wired headphones though i use Ultimate Ears in ear monitors...theyre amazing but they cost ALOT
I'm trying to some some studio quality bluetooth headphones at the moment with no avail
Ebay
I get just about all of my phone accessories on ebay. Most of the stuff while cheap does what they say. True feedback does not mean much but I have bought all my extra batteris there and saved a lot of money. $ 12 for a battery there compaired to $40-50 eleswhere. I think it is worth a try.
I second surgex0. When stuff goes wrong ebay/paypal doesn't care.
And batteries - I got some 'new' batteries once that were original branded but lasted 20% my store bought batteries did. I'd stay away.

[Q]Im Buying a G-Tablet :)!

Where is the cheapest place to buy one the lowest price I found was on amazon which is the same as a close store,
I also want to get a good case for it, after I buy I plan on installing Vegan rom so any suggestions on where To buy it?
Not on fleabay. You will mostlikely get hosed. Many people have had good luck with woot.com and tigerdirect.
You could probably look in the general forum and see if another gtaber is selling one. We see ones with cases and extra schwag going for the same price as new all the time.
There's a Woot! Off going on, today - there's a chance that they might add the GTAB at some point, and most likely for $285 if they do.

It is possible to find a good deal on e-bay, just make sure to know what your maximum bid will be, for what you get.
I got mine there, paid $300 for the package that included the G-Tablet, a case for it (would pay $20 plus shipping from electronic crap) and a bluetooth GPS that amazon sells for $35. So, in all, I pretty much got the G-Tablet for under $245.
The "CLIP" on electroniccrap is perfect for the gtab. Although it blocks access to the full size usb port.

I think I'm just gonna buy from the store, I don't want it used ofc I like the feeling of opening box :3
Ya I think staples is selling it down the street at least that's what good says for the same price that it is on amazon.

Currently, 10" gtab is on sale in Tigerdirect.com on $270 (use coupon code: FDQ33784) with free shipping (ends by 6/15). That is the same price I bought from Woot.com in April. If you want a good case, you can try electroniccrap.com. They have many custom design cases for gtab and good service. I hope it will help you to get into gtab world easier.
Thanks for the advice ;o Tho im not sure if im gonna buy by the 15 was waiting more towards the end of the month I guess we will see.
Just picked one up at the TD store in Buffalo Grove, and the dam thing has a white line down the left side of it, but the battery was completely dead so I will give it a charge and see... I got the in store price of 299, and I talked them into the 30 bux off.. ... Then picked up a belkin case for 25, so not bad..
It came with 1.2-4???? will play with it in a bit once it's charged, but might have to take it back..
Will re-rom soon..
Make sure you guys visit gtab for dummies page.
I just seen them on Tiger Direct for $269.00 yeaterday

I got mines last month from a local Office Depot for $299.99. It seems that is they regular price for the Gtab. Sears also has it for the same price but their stock is depleted locally.

well just because it has the 1.2 bootloader doesn't mean you have a big loss on your part. There are plenty of choices for the 1.2 bootloader.
If you don't mind picking one up used, but in good condition.. check Craigslist out. I scored mine for $180 with all original accessories, including the foam sleeve that it comes in. Not a scratch on it!!
Edit: sellout.woot has them for $249.99 + $5 shipping today. That is a sweeeeet price for a brand new one!

Going Rate on a gtab?

I'm selling my gtab. I don't use it enough, plus I'm going to be buying the galaxy nexus full retail. Anyway, what do you guys think is a realistic asking price for it. Its rooted running gtabcomb. Everything is in perfect condition and it includes box, cable, manuals etc, everything. I would also be trying to sell my black clip case with it.
Any input is welcome
I recently purchased a used GTablet (already rooted) for $180. I see a lot of them in the $160 to $200 range.
did you just get the gtab for 180, or did it come with any accessories or case? I'm thinking maybe 200 tab and case

Yea, I wanna sell mine too, I think $200 FOR tab and case sounds fair.
I sold mine with a case for $200

Anyone selling one? I'll be buying one this weekend but reliable spots with the $200 mark are few and far between (don't trust new sellers on amazon). PM me and let's talk.

No case. Just a "skin" on it. Condition was like new-- no scratches or mars. I got it on e-bay. Shipping was only $6.00. I'm satisfied. Everything seems to work fine (except for known issues with the ROM, FlashBack 10)

Just my opinion but if you can get $180 range or better .... grab the deal. The holiday offerings might depress that price further.

Got two for $150 each on Amazon.
I got lucky as the (new) seller wanted to get rid of them quickly.
Wiped and flashed CM7.1
Anything between $150 & $175 is a fair price considering the other offerings in the market and the specs on the Gtab.
For eg. A refurb Iconia Tab is going for $259 today on ebay marketplace.

[Q] Sell or return?

I have a 32gb Champagne Prime and I find that I just don't like using a tablet that much. I find myself reaching for my laptop instead of the tablet since I just get things done so much faster with a bigger screen and a standard keyboard. I bought it from Amazon and I'm still within the return window, but I'm sort of tempted to make a bit of money off of it since I see them going for more than list price on eBay. It doesn't have any problems that I know of (wifi works fine, haven't tested GPS) but I'm nervous that someone would buy it and then try to screw me when they discovered some minor problem. I would probably bundle it with my two remaining screen protectors and my verteks case.
Input? Is it too risky to try selling, or should I go for it? Recommended methods?
I sell stuff on ebay. Make sure you look at their fees(insertion and sell) and also paypals fee. Also, look how much shipping will cost vs how much you are willing to charge for shipping. You have to sell an item for quite a lot to actually make money on it.
I have sold two phones in the past month for a total of $340. My ebay fees were about $32 and my paypal fees were about $11. The fees will be higher on a $500 item which means you will have to sell it for more than $50 above $500 just to break even, more if you paid tax. Unless you got it at hhgreg or something for a price way below normal really look at the fees before thinking you will make money. Craigs list would be more the way to go. But, then you have to deal face to face with strangers.

If not having a keyboard is a reason you don't use it, have you considered getting a dock?
Once I got the dock I have found I can do most of the things I used to do on my laptop on the tablet - minus windows gaming.

[Q] What's Prime worth? Considering selling

Hey guys. I bought my Prime mid February (C1O serial) and my Wi-Fi is great, obviously GPS is non existent, but I do have the dongle.
Even though I have no problems with my Prime, thanks to a custom ROM/kernel, I'm considering selling. It's mint condition, with the dock. Now I could just start at just below $600 as the asking price, but who would know better than the owners themselves?
What do you think is a good price for the Prime with dock, 10` hdmi cable, and 16GB SD card? The cable was only 3 bucks online, and the sd I got for free, so I won't charge extra for them, just use them to sweeten the deal. I live in Chicago if that really matters.
Any input is appreciated, also suggestions on what to buy (besides the Infinity obviously)

it's unlocked, no warranty.

No, I won't lie
But I will just say it it's out of warranty, I don't have to say that I'm the one who made it that way
Seriously if it's a techie that buys it I'll explain. But when buying used electronics on the internet, the last thing I'm worried about is warranty

Sorry, but $600 for a used device with no warranty is too high. I just bought mine new last week from Amazon.com. For the 32gb prime + dock + Sandisk 32gb MicroSD + case for a total of $639 including over night shipping. And with Amazon, if I don't like it or just change my mind, I can send it back where you can't do that when buying from an individual.
Amazon is also selling used ones for $415 for the device + $98 for the dock = $513 total with free shipping. Once again, buying from Amazon, the buyer could return it which I assume you could not offer. So, you would have to beat Amazon's price in order to make it worthwhile. I'd say no more than about $400 including shipping.
Sorry for the bad news - but that's how it goes with electronics. At $400 it would have retained its value amazingly well all things considered.
I was just on Ebay last night checking completed listings for the Prime. Saw that just the tablet alone was selling for about 350-400. Tablet with dock, orig box etc 450-500. Tablet, dock, dongle and/or case sleeve protector accessories i saw 500-550.
looked like the prime is still holding a decent resale price.
It was also amazing how many being sold do not have the GPS dongle.
just don't sell it to best buy... they will pay $110-$120 for it (shows you haw many returns they had)
but...its too bad you never got a square trade warranty with it. I would say reasonable is $375 - $430. obviously if it has a screen protector, perfect condition, etc it'll go for more. just sell it before tf700 comes out because then it will really drop in resell price

Wow..I didn't know that about the used ones on Amazon
As for asking $600, I just meant to start high, so the buyer can negotiate. I know I'm not getting 6.
But see, that's exactly why I posted here. I've bought and sold about 10 devices on Craigslist, and I do reasonably well...so it's not like I need help. But I wanted to get input from you guys, because everyone is selling high on there, and it seems too much to me, and I don't want to be just another overpriced used Prime for sale.
Thanks for the info ratman...appreciate it:good:

Wow lol. That's like selling PS3 games to GameStop You buy a $60 dollar game from them new, and they offer you like $9 for it 2 weeks later. Then you see it being sold used for $50. Haha.
I did consider ST just so that I could destroy it myself come September/October when something else came out. Send it to them smashed and water logged so they'd send me $500. Too late now
$300-$350 and it will move. The price will rapidly drop in the coming months so I suggest you move it now.
You have to consider the fact that even though this tablet is stellar, you have to have a techie brain to use it to its ability, with the Wifi/GPS/browser issues and all. Not to mention, you have the 300 already out and the Infinity swirling with rumors to be released soon.

Ouch, $300-$350 would sting
That's almost half price. But I know what you're sayin.
It's not so much how much I get for it, knowing what it costed me, but more about getting enough to cover my next device. Even though I've got $650+ into it, if my next device costs $375, I'd be glad to sell it for $375. IDK...the only thing out that slightly interests me is the 10" Acer Iconia A700, but it's not shipping till this weekend so no real hands-on reviews yet.
And of course, the Asus/Google tab
So many choices, so little $$$
According to current eBay auctions, the going price for a used Prime tops out at around $400.

I sold my Acer A500 and then bought the Prime. I didn't get nearly what I paid for it (I think I sold it for $250), but when I established the price, it was gone by the end of the week. People can find the tablet for cheap if they really need to. If you want to move it, then drop it a touch lower than everything else on the internet and stand behind your product. Works every time for me.
I've just decided to sell my HP TM2. I bought it for $1050. I want to sell it for $800. I'm going to sell it for $650-$700. It will move.
