Razr webtop travel adaptor + OTG - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hi guys,
I've just got Motorola webtop travel adaptor for my Razr, it is working well, webtop mode can be launched.
However, my OTG cable cannot work over this travel adaptor even with Y-usb cables with power supply (not worked with mouse, keyboard, usb drives).
I've tried without the travel adaptor, the OTG cable is working well with Y-usb cables with power supply.
Can anyone help?

I Believe the port on the adapter is for charging only.
In the HD Station I think it internal OTA goes to a 4 port hub with the webtop enabler hooked to one of the ports and the other 3 out the back.
So you'd need to plug your OTA into the phone, have they power y cable and hub. Then'd you'd need to make a cable to plug the adapter into the hub. which would take to much work.
On my setup I bought an attrix dock on amazon for $30 and a microusb extension from usbfirewire.com for around $8-$11 and just plugged the HDMI from the phone directly into the tv.

[Q] MHL cable compatability?

I just found a MHL cable for the SGS2 on Amazon with Micro-USB to HDMI.
I have a Samsung HDTV bought about a year ago. Now i know that MHL means you can charge as well as view the phone stuff on the screen but MHL TVs have not released yet (i think, and even if they have i wont be getting one anytime soon).
So my question is can i still see the TV out if i use the MHL cable on my older TV? I know it definitely wont charge.
Anyone?? :S
yes you can.
all you need is the adapter from MHL (micro-USB) to HDMI, connect the HDMI to the TV and you are good to go.
the advantage of the original samsung adapter is the ability to connect a power cable to the adaptor and charge the phone while it transmits the picture to the TV.
hope i helped
Thanks mate
For anyone confused, an MHL cable is a Micro USB to HDMI cable - no ifs, no buts, this will transmit HDMI from a compatible MHL port. Nothing else needed (except I believe it must also be connected to power)
Your micro USB port on the bottom of your SGS2 is an MHL/USB port, and will therefore work.
Important to note is that not all micro USB ports are also MHL ports, therefore will not necessarily work on some other micro USB port on a different phone.

[Q] Micro USB to HDMI

Does anybody have any info on when this cable will be available? I was also wondering if anyone knows if I can play the 3D Movie from my phone on my 3D T.V. with this cable.
I don't have a 3D tv, so I can't test the 3D aspect of the cable, but I have tested the HDMI mirroring.
I ordered the MHL adaptor from T-Mobile's website. Look under the "data" accessories for the Sensation.
http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/Addons/Accessories/Default.aspx
It was $19 plus shipping. I tried a few local T-Mo stores, but nobody had it.
Anyway, I tested it last night. You need to have a charger, a normal HDMI cable, and the adaptor. The adaptor plugs into your phone's USB port, and then you need to plug the adaptor into your phone's charger and into the HDMI cable running to the TV.
You'll get full HDMI mirroring, meaning whatever is on your phone's display is on the TV. I only tested for a few minutes, but when I first attached it, there was a portrait view of my phone's screen up on the TV. I then tested both Netflix and HBO Go, which both flipped the image to landscape, filling the TV screen. Quality was pretty good with Netflix, and only adequate with HBO Go.
Hope that helps!

Anyone tested a non-MHL micro-USB to HDMI? I don't need charging, just want to display to a non-3D set.

No such thing. Must be plugged in to charge in order for the HDMI out to work.

Show me a non-MHL micro-USB to HDMI adapter/cable.
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
What a crappy setup. I MUCH prefer the Evo 4G way. With this I have to carry my charger, the USB cord for the charger, a full size HDMI cable, and this adapter? LAME.
You know there's a search button right? There are about 20 threads loaded with MHL information.

I have a MHL for my samsung infuse, maybe i will give it a shot later... I am assuming there is some sort of support as the jetstream has a modified microusb connector. It can support a regular microusb cable but it also takes a cable with an extra 5th pin for something... must be some sort of other dock or cables coming out for it.
MHL does work. I used the "universal" MHL adapter that T-Mobile US stores sell and it worked once I plugged in a 1 amp phone charger. MHL adapters require micro USB power in, and I found that less than an amp didn't work. But the HTC Sensation and LG Thrill chargers did the trick. I have a video of it in action in our Jetstream review:
http://www.mobiletechreview.com/tablets/HTC-Jetstream.htm
The device lists USB external storage under the storage applet. But I had no luck using a USB OTG cable (the Motorola Xoom optional cable). It didn't see flash drives, mice or keyboards. I've asked HTC PR about USB host, but it's taking a long time for them to get me an answer.
btw... the MHL adapter that came with my Samsung Infuse also worked with the Jetstream as long as i had the charger plugged into the MHL adapter, couldn't power itself on its own.

help troubleshooting mhl adapter please?

Just tried watching a movie on my phone on the girlfriend's tv and got nothing... it's really annoying me now too.
-Plugged hdmi into each of the 4 ports on the tv in case was a bad port
-Tried 2 different phone chargers into a power strip AND tried extension cord from wall (nothing was open directly in the wall)
**Got nothing from those steps**
-Plugged adapter in to pc monitor with hdmi input and charger directly to wall, got picture
-Plugged hdmi into dvd player to test the tv, got picture
My first thought is the charger isn't getting a good connection to the powerstrip because the plug in front of it kinda prevents it from going in all the way - HOWEVER the phone does receive power and charged through it.
But that's why I tried an extension cord right off the wall, so not sure what it could be.
Does the TV have to be newer and support an mhl adapter? I thought you had MHL which required the TV to support AND then there was the adapter that worked with all hdmi (thus it being an adapter).

Micro USB to USB female adapter

I bought a micro USB (M) to USB (F) adapter so I could plug in my XBOX PC wireless game receiver into my LTEVO, which is intended to allow me to use my Xbox 360 wireless controller with my phone. However, the wireless receiver will not power up when I plug it into my phone. It works when I plug it into my PC, so I know the receiver is not the issue.
Is there a setting that I need change on my phone in order for the receiver to get power? Or do I need a different adapter in order for this to work? I've seen them work on the Youtube videos, so I know this is possible. I appreciate your assistance!
I don't think the microusb port supplies power to external devices??? Or if it does it may not provide enough to power the adapter. I believe that is why if you buy the MHL adapter for HDMI it only works if you plug your charger into it to supply power.

Valid point, however, check out all these Youtube videos showing the adapter/receiver working without external power:

I think for that to work the device needs to have USB-host capability (and have that capability enabled.) I don't know if the LTEVO has this, but I kinda suspect that it doesn't.
