[Q] "Videos" stock player bug? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

Hey guys quick question for you.
I download youtube videos on my computer and load them up on the GNote and watch the clips using the stock player.
Sometimes when I select the next clip I want to watch, it would play a video that I captured using the GNote. Does this happen to anybody else or is it just me? Also, is there are way to default the screen orientation to landscape?
I could use MX Player or Doubletwist, but I like the stock player because you could lock the screen. This function is vital because I hold the phone with my thumb pressing the softkeys on the bottom.
As always, thanks.

What about flipping the phone around so your thumb is resting on the top of the phone, by the carrier logo? Then you don't have to lock anything. The area is just as wide as the area used by the buttons so there is plenty to hold on to. Just keep your thumb to the left of the logo and not to the right so you don't cover up the sensors.

Lock Screen in Landscape?

So I watch videos while laying in bed a lot. You obviously want to watch the video in Landscape so you want the phone to orientate to your head not to gravity. I'm looking for a way to stick the screen so it goes into Landscape while in the Youtube app or whatever. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

[Q] problem on the galaxy note

did anyone try to watch videos on your galaxy note?
because when i do the video looks werid(?) (i tried to think of a better way to explain this but english isnt my first lang )
im using the bell version of the galaxy note
Can you be more specific here?
Which app were you watching videos with? Netflix?? Plex? Live TV App?? the Movies app?
And by weird...what do you mean? Aspect ratio issues? Overscan??? Artifacts??
Really need more information if we are to try to help you.
You can Tap the top left button while on the video player to change aspect ratio, that's the only thing I've found to display funny on mine. Also, pressing the power button "locks" certain controls (maybe screen taps) so that tapping that little icon has no effect if the power button has been used to lock. That happens a lot easier than you think as it's incredibly easy to click that little guy...

Horizontal video output?

Right now, when you connect the Galaxy S III to a TV, it'll display the video in whatever orientation the S3 is currently in. For example, when you hold the phone vertically, it shows up as portrait on the TV (with black spaces on either side), and when the phone is held horizontally, the TV displays landscape video.
Since I have a screen that can rotate, I want to make it so that the video that the Galaxy S III displays will always fill the screen. As in, when the S3 is held vertically, the video it displays fills the whole screen without the black spaces (if you were watching it on a TV, it would appear sideways).
Is this possible? I know that on the iPhone there's an app on Cydia called Landscape TV Out, which always outputs the video in landscape (thus filling the screen). That's what I'm looking for.
If an app is possible but it doesn't exist, I'm willing to pay for one to be made.
To clarify, I've attached two pictures that show what the S3 outputs by default and what I need it to look like in portrait.
I've searched through the GT-i9300 and SGH-i747 source code, but I haven't found anything (maybe I'm not looking for the right thing?)
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Mate 10 Pro > YouTube app - Stretch to fit arrow button, videos without black bars

Hello,
so I noticed that the default YouTube had a button with two arrows, that when viewing videos in landscape mode you could press, so that video zooms in a bit, so there is no black bars on the sides.
But with YouTube app update the button disappeared!
1. So have you noticed it?
2. And what can be done about it, or who could be contacted about it?
To view videos with truly full screen was really nice! I want that back!

Click to collapse
In new youtube version, It become "pinch to stretch"
Try to pinch your screen like you want to do zoom, it will become full screen
