I am staying in india n i wanted to kno how can i add regional languages to ma phone because whn some 1 sents me messages in Malayalam or Hindi all i can see are boxes.....

1. Open root explorer.
2. Copy the above fonts.
3. Go to system/fonts.
4. Change r/o permission to r/w.
5. Delete DroidSansFallback.ttf which is already there.
6. Paste the downloaded DroidSansFallback.ttf fonts.
7. Change file permissions to r/w
8. Change r/w permission in root explorer to r/o.
9. Reboot
10. Enjoy

follow the same procedure that u did before. but use the new file this time. yes u hv to do it everytime u flash new rom. i hope u r wid GB, in ICS no probes wid regional fonts

Malayalam Fonts in Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+
I am unable to view malayalam font in this phone. ALL messages in WhatsApp are coming as special characters like,.|....

Hey guys. I changed my bootanim(nexus bootanom). Now i want to change it again. But even when i replace the bootanimation.zip file with another one and deleted yhe initial one from the system/media fokder , it continues to show the same bootanimation(nexus). Sumone plz hekp me?

You must have also placed the bootanimation file in data/local.
Check again, and see that you replaced the file properly.
This is not any coding error or something, it shouldn't occur, i think it's a mistake on your part. Check system/media again and replace with new bootanimation

As far as I know, the file should be placed only in one location. Delete the bootanimation from both the folders. Copy the bootanimation file to system/media , rename it to bootanimation.zip, set permissions to rw--r--r--

Yeah, what tj_droid said. The only folder where you can put a bootanimation is in system/media and name it EXACTLY like this: bootanimation.zip. all lowercase and just one word. I was switching mine up the other day and left it with a big B, got the android 1.5 bootscreen that simply says ANDROID.
Im on stock rom I cant see any bootanimation.zip on ether of the locations.
Any ideas ppl

Rename File to "Vending.apk" and copy to /system/app/Vending.apk with Root Explorer(permission rw-r--r--.Make sure to uninstall any Updates of Previous Versions first.Root required.Have Fun!!!

Do not try this on 2011 xperia Phones!
How to:
-Download the .Zip file and place on SD CARD.
-Open Root Explorer MOUNT R/O
-Go to /system/media change the permissions of the file "Bootanimation.zip" to Reed,write,execute.
-Copy the bootanimation.zip and paste it on sd card (THIS IS THE BACKUP just in case you don't like the Nexus animation..

-Then go to /system/media and delete "bootanimation.zip"
-Then move the New "bootanimation.zip" file to system/media [the one from me]
___________________________
Now just restart your phone and ENJOY.....
I think if you can get the zip file and just swap it in, it may work. But of course backup first just in case

Nope... Didn't work I did as you said but it made my Bootanimation the Google Stock Android 2.3 Bootanimation like this

your file didn't work....I had to resize and rename all of the file in a zip that i got of some other site...

You can search around the internet for .ttf files (fonts in truetype format), or you can download Font Installer from Google Play (needs root) and install fonts from there. You can also install already downloaded fonts to your phone with Font Installer.

So i hav a zip file of a new font which worked on my device (jb stock rom)... Even you should try it and if it works let me noe!

In font installer, you have to select which fonts you want to replace (in settings -> select fonts or similar). You also need to be sure to not replace bold fonts with regular ones and so on; keep the styles as they are, otherwise you are getting bootloops.
