Sweep panorama is working with your X8?? Mine is giving FC.
Works perfectly on GDX!

May i remind you this is for Gingerberad. May i ask what rom are you currently using?
works in MCM7 too... altho the panorama is a little broken and uber slow

Video doesent, panorama sucks due to the X8 crappy camera. But it is a good app.

What'st the best camera on a 2.2 rom? The reason I am not trying out all the roms which I wish I could is cuz I am a college student currently needing a stable rom all the time and trying out them all the time will slow me down. 2.2 freeX10 is awesome but the camera on it has no zoom. which 2.2 rom has a zoom for the camera? If any of the roms don't, which rom will get it first. Unless thats a stupid question?

Get vignette from the market....zoom works on it, and its probably the best app for pictures and quality hands down. Im using the paid version right now on freex10....works awesome

You can, but I prefer Vignette
im not sure u can port over the original stock camera or they would hav done it

Vignette works flawlessly, just wished the development had implemented video rec too. As for importing the 2.1 stock camera, I tried and it crashed never to work again. Found a nice time lapse camera that worked though lol

I meant I had the app vengetta or I think its called. No, I mod my own phones, not build firmwares and stuff. That's too much out of my league.

you cant put the 2.1 stock camera. its not compatible with 2.2
Heres the Camcorder Fix that should work for all 2.2 ROMs.

How about Trips latest MiUI rom? Would it work even though he hasn't implemented the camera yet?

cant say i'd ever really tried my camcorder before but i just applied the fix and tried it, seems to work fine on freeX10 Beta 4
I can confirm that this is working on my Froyo Mix ROM (FreeX10 beta4 + Trip's CM6). Just recorded a video in hi-res using Viggnete. THANKS A LOT!

i can confirm its working from within camera on FreeX10-beta4 (with CM6settings)... video recording @ 800x480 though fps seems to be variable (still >17fps... though this test video was shot at night)... will test it more 2moro...
in my opinion this is not a native camcorder implementation, because apps like Google Goggles & Barcode Scanner dont work... (yes i am aware of alternate app Scanlife barcode reader).... i just wanted to report whtever functionality i was able to achieve...
once again thank you for ur hard work!!!! it feels good to have higher fps recording @ higher resolution (as compared to Videocam Illusion)

use the 'ics camera' app from the market. cool UI and looks like ICS but is actually for gingerbread good for those of us who do not want to unlock bootloader to get ICS because we are scared of bricking our baby.

Unfortunately, the video capture in CameraICs somehow FC/bugs. But if camera/panaroma shooting is awesome

Hi people! It has been a week that I own my x10 and I am so exhausted of testing roms. If you don't mind I would like a rom with the following things:
- xLoud & Beats Audio ( I use my phone as mp3 player and as a musician too I like the best music quality)
- Bravia Engine
- High level of customization (transparent statusbar, icons/themes, tweaks...) as I had in my Galaxy Mini
- Camera 100% working, I mean with ZOOM please...
Now I'm using Mokee the dionysus 'cause any that I've tried was good for me (donut hd, mokee electra, x10s(i hate xperia style), feravolt v20...)
Answers will be gratefull :fingers-crossed:

Dixperia does not have fully working camera. This is a stable rom well fitted and built on stock, fast and yes xloud and brava too.

One of dixperia8s roms is based on stock rom so it has fully working camera.

I tried MIUI, but I missed the Menu button. it is good, many things that you can change and stable. But I recommend the MM Cyanogen Mod 7.2 I'm using it and it's great and fast and stuff.

I use android 4.0 so don't have ISO
i'm on android 4
with stock camera app!
change mod to normal!
then change ISO on camera setting

use touch focus....it worked for me
is there any way to use the camera from GB in ICS.???

The stock Rom is very smooth for me. All custom roms goes slow after some time. Is there any third party camera app that can solve this issue?
