[Q] How to Unroot Or Upgrade to 3.2 Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi Only (GT-P7510) - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm new to this forum & to android systems. This is my first android device.
I bought a Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 (wifi)GT-P7510 recently.Since I could not find my language on it I rooted it .But after I installed tiff files by replacing the existing one/s I couldn't boot the tab.So I had to use a backup(given on the rooting package) that has been saved on my tab. As a result now I have a rooted tab with HC 3.1 . I want to have 3.2 which I had when I bought the tab. I cannot get updates since its rooted.I cannot return to stores bcos its rooted.I cannot sell it for a reasonable price b'cos it has an older version.
Could someone help me please either to unroot in 3.1 or to updagrade to 3.2 (rooted) or to android 4.0
Thank you
Details of my device:
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 wifi (GT-P7510)
Build number HMj37.UEKG4
Kernel version:2.6.36.3

I think the answer most people would like to give you: use the search function!
But since I'm in a good mood today.. go to sammobile.com, register and go to the firmware page, search (!) for "p7510" and get the firmware you desire (version/country). For the flashing part, well.. let's just say you can find that out yourself, maybe there's a guide on the same site as well.. (could it be?)

thanks for your advice.
I checked for the firmware of my samsung galaxy tab 10.1 (UEKG4)
I could not find the firmware .It was bought in The Netherlands.

Well, for The Netherlands you should take the latest firmware for Europe (or Open Europe, don't know the difference, just take most recent). After you flash that, you'll probably get XEN as your code.

[Q] Is my Tab's firmware genuine?

Hi everyone
So I have Tab 10.1 which I bought in June... Later on I rooted it, a while ago before the touchwiz firmware update came out. Once that came out, I tried to update it numerous times (im not sure whether the tablet was still rooted or not when I tried to update) and the update failed continuously... Anyhow, don't ask me why I did this but I erased my system in the bootloader!!! I didnt realise that it was literally the OS I was clearing.... Eventually I found a firmware file on the internet for it and flashed it... Previously my Tab was running the HMJ37 UEKMB firmware, now it is running the Europe HMJ37 XXKFC firmware which has touchwiz already...
Now what I want to know is, is this firmware genuine, and will I be able to recieve future updates on it such as ICS when they are released? If not is there any place where I can find the UEKMB firmware to flash to my Tab??

It doesn't matter if it's genuine, don't use stock firmwares anyways. Custom ROMS are better. Wait till someone on this forum develops a sick ICS ROM.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
So, what is the coolest rom available at the moment for my Tab?? Just rooted it but duno what rom I could install.... Preferably one with more customized UI on top of TW... I saw a few pictures of home screens set about the windows phone 7 look... Is there a rom for that?
please refer here mate..

You can get samsung official firmware from them: http://m.samsung.com/us/support/downloads
But I prefer "In Paris" by Task650 and Phantom.

Lack of Dev Support for SHW-M250x Series

This is yet again another "Lack of Support" finding for a SGS2 phone, particularly the Model Phones that belong to the SHW-M250x family. I have an SHW-M250K model from Olleh KT of Korea, and due to its coding, it creates a boot-loop when trying to root with an GT-I9100 secure rooting kernel. I have tried using Odin, polled cyanogene, CF-Root, SuperOneClick; the lot seems to deal with only the International Variety coded GT-I9100.
The main differences that i have found is the language support, length of SMS messages, the use of an external antenna for a built-in TV tuner, and NFC support in the battery when paired with a USIM containing an NFC Ident. So Samsung blew up the SE Asia model with some nice features but unfortunately, not with the rooters/devs in mind.
My question is, is anyone currently working on SHW-M250x family rootkit? I'm about to go the route of starting to load Zipped ROMs to the SD card, because from reading on here, it seems like you do not need to obtain root access to be able to flash a rom, provided it is done in 3e mode from your properly formatted SD card. But if there is a root available to SHW-M250x family users, i would definitely be delighted to know.
Thanks,
Gig
Samsung Galaxy S II - SHW-M250K (Olleh) - Android ICS 4.0.3
Now, i did take a look at this thread (before i get flamed)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746794
But noted that again, it quoted use with the I9100 variety and even says with MOST ICS phones.
TBH, both phones look darn near the same and it is hard to tell the difference unless you pull out the antenna. I will give it a shot when i get off work. But I'm still worried about whether my USIM got fried or something. Phone has picked it up ONCE since i upgraded to ICS stock. I wasn't rooted before.
Thanks,
Gig

Looks like the root from CWM that you install on a SDCard worked. I will log any issues as i dink around with my phone.
I know one already, after rooting, ICS 4.0.3 Airplane Mode Quick Button when you hold down the power button is good for turning it on, not for turning it off.
More to come.

Ok so after rooting SHW-M250K, tried flashing kernel with Siyah and got stopped at the Flash Screen. So Siyah (for now) does not work as a kernel. So far, root proves possible with at least this model. More to come.

So after a lot of trying and failing i decided to go back to gingerbread...however i have been under the impression that no one cared enough about the Korean version to capture the Stock rom for GGB 2.3.6.
LEAVE IT TO THE RUSSIANS.
After tiring searching the googlenet, i found a site (in russian) that has the SHW-M250x family stock GGB roms.
I will not post the link yet, because i'm downloading the rom right now to try it out. Hopefully i do not have my hopes up for nothing.

[Q] How can I upgrade the original Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 to ICS 4.0 or Jellybean?

My sister has an original galaxy tab 10.1. I noticed it is running Android version 3.1
The tablet was purchased in the US, though she's not currently in the United States. Not sure if that matters, but she's not received any OTA update.
This is a WIFI only tablet. How can I remotely upgrade it to ICS 4.0 or Jellybean. She doesn't want any customized ROM on it.
Firstly, where can I get stock ROM for ICS 4.0?
Secondly, if I remote into her PC, I am able to see the contents of her tablet, when it is connected to her laptop. Does that help?

The link above has all the stock roms but prerooted. I flashed the rogers one for my dad through CWM the other day worked very good.
You can flash CWM recovery through odin and then update it through ROM Manager app.(That is how I did it)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239185
this is for the wifi version, if you have any other version you have to find the model number and search how to root it.
at the end, you will have a tab that look like stock but is rooted.

[Q] Consultation before buying S3 - about OS updates

I want to buy Galaxy S3 in a local store.
I can ask whatever ROM I want (they will install it for me).
Before I'm buying it, I need to verify one thing which is important to me.
I understand that if I have an original Samsung ROM then I can get an operating system update by the internet only - when it being released.
My question is, when Samsung will release the Android 4.2.x version for the S3 could I get it on my device by the internet?
Maybe I would have to install the official Samsung ROM for 4.1.x and only then get the update?
Thank you for your help.
Either u get ota update.
Or u use kies.
Or odin easiest method.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app

There are a few things that you need to know about Samsung updates:
1) Yes, Samsung will give you updates. You can update via the official Samsung KIES software, OTA (over-the-air), or through an unofficial ODIN software.
2) Samsung will never give you the latest updates as soon as they arrive. You will have to wait up to six months for an Android update.
3) Samsung will discontinue updates for phones that were released around 1.5 years before the new update is released. For example, if you buy the Galaxy S2, you will most probably not get the new Key Lime Pie (which will be released later this year). Similarly, for the Galaxy S3, you might not get the Android update scheduled for a 2014 release. You will get these updates if you buy a Nexus 4, on the other hand, or if you choose to install a custom ROM such as Cyanogenmod.

Galaxy tab 3 lite SM T110 - anyway to update manually to atleast 4.4.4?

Hello
Sorry for starting a new thread - I have looked over the site but finding it overwhelming and not able to find a specific answer.
I have also spent hours on google. I am a Mac user in an out, and have no PC in the house, so apologies in advance - HOWEVER, I use a HTC 1 phone and also a Galaxy Tablet 3 Lite SM T110. (Currently on 4.2.2 Android - I have downloaded Kies and there is no further updates for my device)
My question is, is there anyway to update from 4.2.2 to atleast Android 4.4.4? My google searches have brought back firmware matching the Galaxy tab 3 lite SM T113... I am not sure if this would still work on mine? (Sorry - Mac user )
As I am able to understand so far, I am able to use Kies to manually flash firmware onto my device? But does 4.4.4 firmware exist for it specifically, and if not, would the firmware for the T113 work...?
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks!
