[KERNEL] [OC/UV Support]Lastest stock Kernel with fast charge, 2WCR, and Ponury - HTC EVO 3D

I have removed this kernel and will no longer be distributing my kernel on XDA or participating at XDA. I received a request regarding the GPL which I could have easy complied with; however, it really irked me because making the request itself was very hypocritical.
XDA as a site is extremely hypocritical. They enforce the GPL against kernels but I have never seen them raise an issue regarding all the ROMs here which include gpl software but don't provide source. An example would be busybox. I have yet to see a developer distribute the code for it although almost very ROM on this site includes it. Also there are certain developers which don't provide source for their work as required by the gpl and action is never taken against them but it is against others.
Any enforcement of copyleft or copyright by XDA is really hypocritical because very ROM on this site violates copyright. Even the AOSP ROMs contain proprietary copyrighted software which the developers don't have a license to distribute. Any ROM based upon HTC Sense, Samsung Touchwiz, or any other vendor environment is violating copyright because these companies have not granted a license to distribute their software.
Are you using a ROM with Beats on your Evo 3d? If so the developer distributing it is violating HTC's license and you are to because HTC hasn't granted you a license to use it.
I'm not saying these things should be enforced and XDA should ban all ROMs, but what they shouldn't do is pretend they are protecting free software or policing against pirated copyrighted software. XDA is built upon violating free software and violating copyright. They have chosen to selectively enforce copyleft and copyright to suit their needs. Anytime selective enforcement is allowed it will lead to abuse of the privilege to selective enforce. This is exactly what is happening at XDA.
XDA needs to either to fully enforce copyleft and copyright or to not enforce. The current situation is extermely hypocritical and in the end leaves XDA just as exposed to legal action as not enforcing copyleft and copyright.
I appreciate all the thanks I have received from users and regret that I cannot continue to provide you kernels here at XDA.

I don't plan on adding either. The performance and battery life for the latest kernel are acceptable to me. My goal for this kernel is stability over performance. The reason I created this kernel is that the existing kernels which provided these features also tried to squeeze out as much performance as possible and in doing so caused stability issues for many people. I wanted the features but with the stability of the stock kernel.

Yes, the performance is acceptable only. No more than that. This is your kernel and you decide what you do but as you know this isn't the default speed of the CPU. Many many people will have issues with this kernel OC'ed, UV'ed or not. Generally people having problems are not caused by OV the phone, its simply because their phones don't like other kernel than the stock one. Many people have problems, many people not. Just my opinion. Keep going.
Ps: My phone can handle 2 ghz perfectly all day without issues while others have random reboots even @1.2 ghz.

Q??
Hey nice work man , how well does this thing sleep? I'm on Anthrax RSL8 and it drains about 2% an hour.

I have been talked into adding undervolting and overclocking. The default will always remain the same as stock and my stance is going to be I don't guarantee proper operation if you do either.

Hopefully not. It makes it easier for CM devs to work out the bugs and kinks when they don't have a bunch of other kernels out there. I know they've requested devs on other phones to hold off on kernels. Wouldn't surprise me if they did the same here.

No respectable kernel offers OC over 1.6
The only person who claims OC higher than 1.6 is Mr. "snake oil" Tegrak, and he's too busy violating the GPL to back up his claims.
Nearly everything in my kernel was pulled from the CM7 source base, and I have provided atinm with patches for any significant modification/bugfix. If you could flash my kernel on CM7 you would see little to no difference.
The device has only been pulled from shelves in LTE markets where AT&T is aggressively marketing LTE devices with availability shenanigans and extra discounts to drive adoption - most of these markets are ones where stores didn't stock the I777 in the first place.
CM7 developers make the same request on ANY phone that has an official CM7 port. It's the CM7 way.

Everyone

Hello, everyone
What is it that you expect from a kernel developer? Also, do any of you run gingerbread as of the moment? I only ask because I am trying to take on the task of being a new contributor to this site. I want to contribute by giving you folks kernels. I'm nowhere near done. I am learning, but I feel like I should ask this now. To reiterate, I'm a noob trying to learn, and I’m curious as to what you guys want/see.
i simply want to know what you folks see in a kernel developer, and what you expect from one. While I am typing this, I am fairly nervous of the future responses. I already understand that I violated the rules of XDA by posting this question in general. I am willing to suffer the consequences for my actions as well.
I am simply curious at what you guys think.

Wow, I think its great what you're doing. Thanks.
I'm still running GB because everything works. I guess that's what I'd want in a kernel. A kernel that will run ICS where everything works including all 3D.
Your avatar is cool.
I think it's awesome that you're stepping up to the plate, I think you should make one to your liking 1st & then branch out from there.
If I could muster up the free time to study, I'd like to do the same.

Just be careful if you make something truly amazing.....
Just saying...
I'd say make stuff for you and not what other people want. If YOU want a specific feature put it in there.
The problem with making it with what other people want, is their is essentially less motivation to do it, the works harder, and you get regular users complaining about your work because it's not how "they" want it.
Enjoy your learning man!

So far only two kernel's have impressed me the most.....RCMix kernels (from the desire HD days) and anthrax kernel on the 3D, nothing else has even come close to those two in my opinion.
That's what -I- expect from a kernel.....
what you give will benefit the community surely, so don't let individuals dictate development.....the developers should do that, because at the end of the day....after the dust settles and all is done, it will be the same as what we all want (apart from things like usb host), so welcome and if anybody gives you a hard time, just stick the treasured two finger salute
since you asked... stability. no bs that makes your phone a million times faster or adds couple megapixels to your cam while at the same time adding features that don't even work on most roms.

IMO
You won't make everyone happy as the little bugs that make something work for one phone, but, borked for another.
Secondly, I prefer ICS over GB. Just preference.
However, you asked, and this is what I like:
1) Stability
2) Performance in the area of smooth graphics (choppiness sucks)
3) Battery tweaks
4) Something for GSM and CDMA users.
In that order. I don't overclock simply because it's not really needed. I run a stock speed and have smoother graphics with the LeeDroid tweaks on Booster Shot ICS than I did with LeeDroid tweaks on any overclocked GB ROM I ran. Why go 100 mph when going 70 gets you to the same destination and in roughly the same amount of time and using less gas?
I would like to tell you something like this:
1. All things working
2. Great battery life
3. Smooth and fast
4. Compatible with both gsm and cdma..
Does it look like too much request?

Battery life results

I apologize for I know that similar threads have been created but the last one is fairly old. I have mostly been running AOKP for the last few weeks but I recently tried out serendipity- I'll say that I do prefer an AOSP style rom over a samsung rom. I do like customization but battery life is a priority to me. Can someone please give some input to what rom/kernal/governors are being used to maximize battery life?
There is no simple answer to this question. All Kernels and ROMs are good - please refer to Entropy's battery drain thread for common issues affecting battery drain.
Some kernels however offer UV ability e.g. Siyah which allows u more flexibility.
Having said this I saw about the same battery life on most of the ICS roms I tried.
I am currently evaluating custom GB roms to see if the battery life is better.

[KeRnEl] Clemsyn's Elite BATTERY SAVING kernel: Now for 4.1.2 ROMs

Would like to thank all the Beta Testers of my Elite kernel for Nexus 7. They have allowed me to see how low voltages can go in the device. Also, credits go to _motley, fosser2, Cpajuste, pershoot, catch1571, pinoyto, masterg0g0, morfic etc...and to who ever I missed. Biggest thanks to my wife for giving me the chance to do this.
UPDATED 10/19/2012
1. This kernel is updated to utilize the latest 4.1.2 by Google for Nexus 7
2. Same voltages applied as before to extend your battery life
3. Same speed of CPU and GPU
4. Same warning as below.

Now to the kernel
This kernel is basically a STOCK kernel with voltage lowered to the lowest possible settings to EXTEND battery life. No tweaks other than voltages
This are for Nexus 7 users who care more about BATTERY life and LESS HEAT than overclocking.
Here are the changes.
1. Undervolting is NOT POSSIBLE in this kernel. Undervolting has been done by me in the kernel
2. CPU voltages are default to maintain stability but it shines in undervolting the other aspects of the device, ie: pll_c, memory, emc, host1x, GPU 2d/3d bus etc...
2. vdd_core/vdd_rail decreased voltage from 1.2 to 1.1mv
3. emc, pll_c, host1x, GPU decreased from 1.2 to 1.1mv
4. Compiled using Linaro Toolchain
5. Speed of GPU 2d/3d/vde etc set at 400 mhz (close to stock of 416)
6. Backlight default decreased to 5 for better reading at night and decrease battery consumption
Here is the link OR CLICK ON THE BOTTOM
https://rapidshare.com/files/3373858690/ClemsynELITEBatterySaverStock.zip
WARNING:
Due to aggressive undervolting of this kernel. It might not work with your device. So please be very familiar with backup/restore of your device
** If you like my work. Please do not hesitate to click on the DONATE TO ME button and add to my Nexus7 fund and reward my work. It will be appreciated THANK YOU.
git https://github.com/clemsyn/Grouper
I will use this as my daily driver when I'm not testing kernels.
Edit: I just realized that this is stock, I though it was like the previous 1.5 one of the series. Would you be updating on that regard in the future?
Edit2: Temp wont reach 40.0 C 37.0 C being the mac with none to light use.
Edit3: So has anyone tried to see if init.d support is there?
