I'm trying to cook my first custom ROM.
It is based on LP7 stock ROM, but I want to use a custom theme in it. I have the flashable zip of theme, how can use zip file to insert theme in ROM?
I'm using dsixda's Android Kitchen to create the ROM.

I would like to know if it is possible to deodex a custom rom. I am currently on CM 7.2-cooper-KANG-RC0.
If yes, then how can I do that.

I want to include the CWM recovery in the ROM.
I have the .img file for the CWMR.
How do I add the recovery in the ROM, so I dont have to install it separately everytime?
Also what are the changes that have to be made in the 'updater script'?

I was wondering if you could create a custom ROM from the update.zip provided by the brand. I am using a ALLVIEW viper v1 i and the only ROMs I could find are Gionee v5 and walton E3 wich don't work that great.
Can i create a rom from that zip downloaded from the site using cygwin and kitchen? I've seen that the update.zip has a size of 660mb and has the same files as the custom roms(mostly).

I have only CWM backup.
Or does anyone have the stock rom?
