[Q] SIM Unlock code required - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hi,
I have Sony Xperia S from O2. I need to SIM Unlock Code because I'm using another Network. Can any one help me to solve this issue?
Thanks.

if youre with o2 pay monthly you can fill in the sim unlock form on their site
https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Handset Unlocking Form

I tried this before but this phone was a gift. I don't have SIM number to fill the form.
However, I'm using another network which not allowing me to make use of the phone.

It seems that your phone is a branded version that is attached to a carrier. You can try one of those websites that will SIM unlock your phone, but I'm not sure if the XPERIA S can be, yet...

It seems like this. because I tried many ways to unlock the phone. I notesed while trying to unlock the bootloader from services configuration "Bootloader unlock allowed: NO" and i couldn't connect it in fastboot mode. it didn't locate the driver even with manual installation.
do you have any suggestion? and what are those sites if you know cheep website?

cellunlock does the job for you
bro just head over to cellunlock site and place ur order they gave me the unlock code within 24 hours it works just fine to unlock the bootloader after that.

check out this site
http://www.cellunlocker.net/unlock-sony-ericsson-xperia-s.php

it is currently $39,99 on this web-site. I wonder if one can find anything cheaper - I have seen one on the eBay for £32,99 which I find too expansive too. do you guys think unlock codes will get any cheaper with time? thanks

:S :S
I tried them.
Returned the money because they can not do it.
I travel abroad for a long time and should I use another service provider.
I called my provider to do it for $ 500 for decoupling.
If I know I do not take this crap phone.
There is no solution to it?

I unlocked my Mrs's phone via cellunlocker webpage mentioned earlier. Had to wait a week, but can use any sim now. Though, the bootloader status hasn't changed (still says "no").
Then I bought an unlocked phone from eBay, thinking the bootloader will be unlockable, but it says "no" in the menu as well. :-(

I am wondering if you get it cheaper on the web - certainly those who made their way into unlocking world of SXS recently will make tonnes of money. Would appreciate if you could share if you have seen it cheaper than $40 please.

We are very sorry about this situation once again, as we are sure you are eagerly awaiting your phone to be unlocked.
Your order will be returned as "Not found" and a full refund will be issued to you.

[Q] how to get orange xperia x10 free unlock code

hi xda developers!
my uncle sent me an xperia x10 which is originally orange locked so i want to unlock it to use here in philippines. i tried to bring it to the technicians and they're charging me lot of cost and i don't even have a visa card or credit card to buy unlock codes or software online...so can you guys please help me to sort this problem out? please
You can't unlock the phone. There is a software mod to unlock but not sure if you can find it. You will have to buy the code/unlock . I don't see anything else
Damn there was a site for this that was free! Only I forgot it... I will try to search for it for you!
thanks so much! will greatly appreciate your help to sort this out...thanks!
i just noticed, where did my other comment go? is there something wrong with my post?
Do you mean sim locked?
yes it is....
hey guys can you please check this out?
it says that it can unlock sony ericsson mobile phones for free but unfortunately i can't also download it here in our country.

maybe u`re thinking about http://www.omnius-server.com/, but they can`t unlock x10, only 90% of se models can be unlocked for free by that site

is there any other way i can unlock my x10 for free?
Yeah, I think Omnius *used* to have an option to unlock the X10 for free during a promotional period about a year ago for a couple weeks. I'm not sure if they could have done any of the Orange branded X10s.
Unfortunately, Orange is one of the most difficult (and costly) phones to unlock. The absolutely cheapest way for you to unlock it is to call Orange and see if they'll be kind enough to unlock it (I think Orange UK charges 20-25 Pounds or so, unsure of Orange France).
Only other option is to go with one of the remote unlockers. There are a couple companies that can send you a code with your IMEI but expect to wait around 25 days to save a few (and i do mean, few) dollars.

hey
i just started browsing around for you and whenever i got a carrier locked phone i always used IMEI unlock codes
try this http://www.cellunlocker.net/blog/2010/06/how-to-unlock-sony-ericsson-xperia-x10/
thanks for all your response, actually orange uk is charging 20 pounds to unlock it but unfortunately my uncle wasn't able to organize it as it was already sent to me via dhl. i don't know if they will still allow it to be unlocked as it's already here in philippines. I've been trying to browse around the unlockers to get a code or software to unlock it but as what i've seen there are lots of issues like:
on htccode what i saw just now is their system is seem down as per some client's recent posts who are wanting to get their money back.
and some other unlockers offer the code but will have to wait for 5-10 days. i know this is absurd but i have an itchy hand now so i really want to unlock it really quick and use it right away.
anyway thanks to all of you... if i get to unlock this soon i will post it here.
Hi! I'm also looking for the cheapest code, but for now, the winner is mrunlock for 20 pounds... I don't know if I can trust it... Have you find something cheaper???

Just a question about unlocking this phone.

Hello, so I really want to buy the mini pro but its only available on one network, which i dont want to switch to to be honest. So i was wondering if i was to buy the phone would it be easy to just unlock it and then put in my own sim?
Thanks.

Hi, regarding unlocking your handset there are plenty of places on the internet which will charge you a fee for the unlock code, and then the handset should work just fine with your current sim card. I use FoneFunShop they usually have a quick reliable service and you can pay with paypal and unlock most handsets worldwide.

Just be aware that unlocking a phone is almost certainly going to invalidate your warranty.
Also - are you absolutely certain that you can't buy this very popular phone from another source? I'm amazed - it was not made for a servoce provider - it's just a normal SE phone.

Unlocking Bootloader on O2, a web chat

Just had a chat with O2 support regarding bootloaders, and thought you might like to see the result. I'll visit the shop at weekend and see what they say!
---: Hi I'm ---. How can I help?
---: Hi, i've got a Xperia S on contract with you, is it possible to unlock the bootloader to install root software?
---: i'm aware it will void warranty etc, having done the same thing to my old HTC Desire.
---: Let me check that.
---: Please can you tell me the -th and -th character of the answer to your security question?
---: Perfect.
---: Yes you can do that in the O2 shop.
---: Is there anything else I can help you with?
---: oh great, is there a charge?
---: That's you'll be discuss in the shop.
---: I can't comment on that now.
---: ok, thanks
I have the same o2 xperia s. Wait for your result mate. Thanks.
Would many shops really have techs that'd be able? Most staff I've ever talked to instore know how to Factory Reset and little else.
Incorrect post removed
Well that's a lie I work at o2 and we can't unlock your bootloader or unlock your phone in any store. You can unlock your phone which should enable you to unlock your boot loader. Waiting for my unlock code to test it out

I got the sim unlock code, but that does nothing for the bootloader. Any chance you could find out more so I don't have to go into town on Saturday?
I've sim unlocked my phone via o2 and also debranded to a generic firmware also, still says no to bootloader unlocking - anyone have any other ideas?
I hope this can be sorted soon.

Hi!
had the same situation with my provider (A1, Austria). Phone is bootloader-locked. (A1 told me in advance that i wouldn't be).
They told me to call Sony, where they told me unlocking of Sim-öock is possible at shops but NOT unlocking of bootloader lock
Dont know if that information is correct, but now i bought a free one and am goidg to sell the provider-phone ....
Greetings
Bax
Yea same problem here sim unlocked but not for boot loader. O2 will not be able to unlock I'm store. All they can do is flash the o2 generic firmware back on your device.
The only solution to unlock the bootloader in XPS is EMMA.
Could you elaborate and is this doable myself?

+1 to that.
I've been into the O2 store, the 'Guru' said they wouldn't know how to do it in store. I'll emaill O2 next and see what they say.
Latest update, email from O2 says that only the manufacturer can do this! So next step is to get in contact with Sony lol

Sounds familiar, my Provider (A1) told me to contact Sony, too. Bit Sony said, no way to unlock a bootloader-locked phone ...
EMMA software can unlock the bootloader but is one thing to clarify. EMMA must be connected to SONY remote desktop and a special card SE and card reader are needed.

No way can O2 do it in-store.
Been there, done that.

[Q] Is it possible to unlock the Sony Xperia P?

I've done some googling around and cant seem to find an answer that makes sense, I just would like to know if im able to unlock a Sony Xperia P on the O2 network so that i can use it with other phone networks?
Bump, surely someone must have done this, or know the answer? please just say yes or no?

I have done this, you need to ring o2 and ask for the the unlock code, they should give you it for free.
Then when you put a different network sim in your phone, it'll ask you for the code to unlock the phone.
Remember the thanks button.
Cheers,
Lunar.

Hi
They could NOT unlock my XPERIA P. Here I post the answer from mrunlock
"Unlock Code Unavailable
Your order will be refunded in full under our satisfaction guarantee.
This could be because the phone manufacturer has not yet added it to their database, it is an unsupported model, or you accidentally entered the IMEI for a different phone.
If you would still like to unlock your handset then please try your local independent phone shop / market trader as they may be able to do this with hardware.
It is also worth testing your phone with different SIM cards to double check it is still locked as sometimes you may find it works when you do not expect it to."
Also they have not refund me yet
i have since got my phone unlocked, it wasnt easy to find somewhere to do it, this is a hard device to unlock it seems, your best bet is getting in touch with the company your phones locked to, I got mine unlocked by o2 themselves free of charge, but thats because my ebay seller was very helpful and filled out a short form for me after i requested.

What kind of information does O2 need to unlock the phone?
I got in touch with my ebay seller (the original owner) and she filled out a form for me, im not too sure what details she had to put forward but i dont think its anything you could obtain unless you were the original owner, i was told however of another way around this but its not free. You have to get an o2 payg sim, top it up with like 20 pounds, make a few phone calls from the phone so it registers with your imei number, then with at least 15 pounds left submit an unlock form for payg sim to o2

[Q]Unlock bootloader.

Hello, i bought a wt19a some time ago, love the phone and all, but it has locked bootloader. When i dial the 7378423, it says bootloader unlock allowed: No, so i don't know, how to unlock it? The safest and easiest way, please. Thanks for all the help
I'm guessing your phone is network locked. U need to network unlock it first to change the unlock allowed status to yes. Sadly no known free method available.
Anyway wotanserver is good service to do the network unlock, and pretty cheap too.

If the phone gets network unlocked then can we unlock the bootloader?
I've always thought that when a phone says bootloader unlock allowed:no then there is no way that the phone's bootloader can be unlocked even though we get freed from carrier unlock. Like the phone will be bootloader locked for life.
Please clarify my doubt

If your phone was manufactured on and after 12W11 (I have seen several references wich indicates that supported until the model 12W14) can't do the unlock the bootloader by-test-point method. You have to ask to your network provider. If your model can unlock the bootloader you can use the wotanserver or FastGSM services which costs 9.99 €.
I've use wontanserver to unlock my bootloader and network provider. Whith these method you don´t lose DRM Keys
Ps: Sorry my terrible english
