Google apps not workibg d4rom - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I installed d4 rom about a weak ago using cwm recovery.
And none of the google apps seem to work.
Not the market not gmail.
I try to open them they enter and go back to home screen about a second later, no fc not anything.
In the recent apps it shows them but with the homescreen pic.
I tryed to install something.. "google freamwork" or something, but it just says installation failed.
I am using d4 rom v7 with the latest siyah kernel.
When i open the dev tools app and press google login service it fc's.
Thanks in advance.

You need to install gapps mate!

I know exactly what he meant, but if you look at my question, the examples are google maps, navigation. those apps doesn't appear in the market (in my contry only, maybe, i dont know)
and by the way, i've allready search in the market for google.
If your uncertain about your country have access to those apps try installing "market enabler",fake ur location/network and try search again. Also like some suggested do a back up of ur rom and try install a google apps add on that some developers have posted for their roms and see if it works.
Good luck mate
Just flash the google addons, you can't break the phone, just remember to make a backup first

that's only google play or market...tried it but it's all the same
Why dont you try installing the apk
google for the link
If you are unable to install it you might need to go to settings>apps>all>maps and wipe data or remove existing maps via root explorer
(Google maps may not be shown in the launcher)
i have same problem with cm7 8.1 dont have maps, and i install a lot package gapps but same.

Edited: You need to remove existing apk in the system apps directory or else it won't install
Try installing apk after you delete apk and odex

Can't install Play store on CyanogenMod

Hi ,
I am a noob. I just installed CyanogenMOD 9 in my Sony Ericsson live but the problem is I can't install PLAY STORE, GMAIL etc. The apps can be installed but the problem is when I click(touch) on them to open nothing happens. Every other app is running good.
I have another question :
Though I survived the no-playstore horrible moment where nothing can be found to get any File manager or Titanium Backup which I use to restore all of my apps saved and backed up on my SD Card. Then I downloaded Titanium backup from their homepage using browser and restored some of my apps as per needed.
What does a person usually do to install apps after flashing CyanogenMOD?
Also, how can I install play store or Gmail app now?

Is your bootloader unlocked? Are you on cm9/10, because on the kernels of them cwm is integrated! :good:
Cwm isn't an app, it's a recovery for our phones...

Hi, So I had the play store installed and managed to mess up all my apps. It is not longer there on my tablet and I trying to reflash it in this way. CWM says that it installs successfully but the Play Store isnt in the app drawer when I reboot. Any recommendations? Thanks.
