Terminal strangeness and HAVS config - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Trying to configure HAVS voltages on my kernel (HTC Evo). Voltage apps function just fine, but I'm trying to push custom voltages using an init.d script (the way viperMOD does -- which also works). Only, my solution isn't.
At first I ran the script from the terminal and it claimed the file vdd_levels_havs doesn't exist (when it clearly does -- I can browse to and view the file). I tried just slipping the file into init.d, rebooting and having it run from there. No voltage change whatsoever. I'm sure it's in the right place -- I'm not Linux noob.
After rebooting, I tried running the file directly again, and strangely it claims the script itself doesn't even exist, when ls clearly says it's right there.
Here's a screen of the weirdness:

What the hell is going on?

[Q] Using Bochs or QEMU

Has anyone tried to use QEMU or BOCHS with GP5? I haven't seen anything saying it will specifically work with Galaxy devices but I just wondered if maybe someone has gotten it working. I don't fully understand the Android OS yet so I wasn't sure about trying it myself.
Yeah, I got Boochs working!
And I have got it to work with Redhat, and windows 95.
however both are a bit hard to control, and have no internet support:
Boochs:

redhat image:

If you want to use the redhat image rename it to c.img and put it in the sdl folder
username:root Password: redhat
Boochs install instructions on the download page.
Sorry to bother you further but after it boots and I put in the username and password, it just starts as a command line tool or something and anything I try it just says isn't a proper command. Is a ui supposed to boot?

.swf file downloading without known instruction

I noticed a file was downloaded to my Samsung Galaxy S2 whilst the phone wasn't in use with the screen off and locked. I've attached a screenshot of the download to show the file name hoping it might mean something to someone.

The same file was downloaded again approximately ten minutes later, again without instruction.
I then ran AVG which didn't identify anything (the Settings Security Issue is having USB Debugging switched on)
I recently restored my applications using Titanium Back Up after flashing a new ROM.
Noticed the images were unavailable. They should be visible now.
maybe an app in background downloaded it? maybe you also restored the "malware" with your backup. try a different scanner, if nothing helps -> hard reset without ti backup

Supercharger v6 problem

Dear forum members,
I tried to install Supercharger v6 on my Galaxy S2 phone, but it seems it is to difficult for me lol. I downloaded the script, opened it with Script Manager, checked 'SU'(run as root right?) and then I pressed 'run'. I got the choice to select the speed, i choose option 3. But then, i did not get the menu options, but it was just asking me question. I could choose yes or no. I choose yes for four times, then it did some stuff and rebooted.
Because this is not how it should be done (according to tutorials), I wanted to delete the Supercharger v6 settings. But when i trie to run the script it says 'Values DON't MATCH...Read The Owners guide'.
It shows the menu option now (above that warning), but it does not respond to any input. What can I do to remove the settings? Will they be removed if I do a full wipe?

[Q] Pulling off Bootloader files

Good day!
My android phone is Alcatel OT-978, Gingerbread 2.3.7. After days of extensive research, I really couldn't find a way to root my phone. I had tried each of these methods but they all failed:
- z4root;
-super oneclick;
-gingerbreak;
-zergrush;
-psneuter;
I had stumbled upon some random post on the net saying that another workaround is by "hacking" the bootloader. Using ADB, I had these files on my phone:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
My problem is, I can't use the command adb pull on the concerned mtdblock. Every time I use the mentioned command, RE: adb pull /dev/block/mtdblock4 c:\users\ash^03\desktop\system.img, i get the result REMOTE OBJECT '/DEV/BLOCK/MTDBLOCK4' NOT A FILE OR DIRECTORY
Can somebody help me on this. I really need to "hack" or have somebody root my bootloader for me to be able to gain a full root on my device.
BTW, when i type "adb root", it says 'adb cannot run as root in production builds."

[Q] Remove Notification Icon

This icon appears whenever my data allowance has been used up. My network who are usually useful with things like this were otherwise on this occasion.
My phone is rooted with CM and terminal editor. Although I've not well versed in terminal editor I can follow instructions, like adding read/write to the system folder so I could delete system apps.
Any help in the matter is greatly appreciated.

Not sure entirely which app controls that, but you can find out by long pressing on the notification drawer then choosing App Info - should have the option to uncheck notifications. Unless it's system app that doesn't have that option. Then you could look into using the Xposed Framework and something like this: http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.defim.apk.notifyclean
