Just run the RUU of whatever firmware you want to be on. That should fix it

Flash any of the ROM's in Dev that are based on 2.17. Or just flash the base rooted 2.17 ROM.
i thought i read somewhere in one of the roms if you flash without being on 2.17 that you will get stuck in bootloop?

There is a link on the OP in meanrom thread which will guide u on how to update everything from 2.08 to 2.17 .... Just follow everything on that page n u can flash any 2.17 rom after that with no problem....

You need the Freeza All In One update. This will not update you to 2.17 as that is referring to the ROM, this will update the firmware, PRI etc.

Do yourself a favor, if you are on hboot 1.5, get it downgraded using instructions in the Dev forum. Everything is so much easier on 1.4.
If your CDMA hboot 1.5 you can either find the stock recovery to flash and use the zip file that the guys just mentioned...
You could also download the 2.17 RUU exe
Wipe Relock and run the ruu you will be updated Then just unlock again pretty easy...
That RUU comes in handy if you do **** something up
Lol 1.5 is easy no issues just one extra step to flash stuff not hard and no issues.

yes if u r on hboot 1.4.... once u flash this u will have everything updated..... then u can simply flash any rom with no problem.. but if ur on hboot 1.5 this i would first downgrade it like mentioned earlier....

[Q] Getting back to stock

So, I updated to the leaked kernel and would like to get back to stock. I know we had to wait for s-off, and since we have it now I was hoping for a how-to. I see we have a back to stock radio but what about the stock RUU? I am still getting used to all the terms here. Learning the difference from kernel/RUU/Radio/Rom. I am only confused on kernel and RUU.
I do have s-off.
Thanks All,
XDA user are the best
I would avoid flashing the radios. I would flash the latest GB RUU. After that you can flash and downgrade your hboot to the eng hboot 2.11 if you would like. Then go about how you would have dine before to run ics roms with the firmware patch unless the dev says otherwise......
If I am wrong someone will correct me.....as I have not done this.

BeringBullet, are you rooted? I ask because I also installed the ICS leak and want to go back to stock but I dont want to root.
Does anyone have a link to the GB RUU? I cant find a working one.
Not the most recent one but you can update over the air:

Then I assume you haven't done S-OFF? You will have to root to do the exploit. If afterward you run the GB RUU and flash the eng HBOOT, you can run stock unrooted ROM.
Word of warning; IF you flash the eng hboot after RUU'ing back to GB. Don't attempt bringing S-ON back to the device as you will brick to an unusable state.
Here's a write-up I made in another thread, just a quick summary of what steps to take. You can leave the stock hboot but if you wish to flash radios and/or s-on you will need to unlock.

[Q] flashing new hboot

Just S-Off'd my friends rezound and the process didn't give us an option to flash the new hboot after s-off was achieved. What's the safest/proper way to flash the jb_hboot?
Also he has the leaked firmware, but is running a GB rom...does this mean we use the ICS hboot?

Thanks to you as well. Ok. The instructions are a little sparse. I have a small netbook currently running ubunto, I could use that? Also, I would root with regaw and htc method and then use netbook for rest of instructions.
read the first post in the thread, it does work just follow the instructions.

OK. I got rooted with regawmod, then was successful in the downgrade to 1.12 hboot. Now I am stuck on trying to RUU to 2.13 from 1.22. I keep having it fail on updating though RUU. Is there any other way to get that done? Can I just flash Fresh 5.1.1? Or am i not able to because i'm not S-off???

Y don't u just do the lazypanda s-off now since you are stock. U don't need fresh rom to do it. The new base is installed when u install a new rom on the new base. Just flash radios separately which u can do once s-off or just being on 1.12 I believe.

Why would you downgrade hboot and then run ruu to install the latest hboot? If you downgraded to 1.12 you should have no problem running lazy panda. Am I missing something?
On unlimited's site it says the rom requirements to run lazy panda is 1.13 RUU. I was confused on that as well but it hasn't been successful. I'm currently 1.12 hboot with 1.22 software version. So at this point just run the lazy panda?
Someone in mac's development thread stated they were able to run lazy panda on 1.12. You should ask about it in that thread and see if anyone can help
i ran it out of the box no RUU just ran it
Was that you that mentioned it then? I was having a hard time remembering who mentioned it lol
WHOO HOO! I'm S-Off!!! Ok am I finally ready for customer roms etc and I guess i need to flash radios of course.
edit: Thanks guys!
Let me know what customer roms u install. Those sound interesting.

No. Roms don't include radios or any other firmware. You'd have to relock and RUU to get the radios. And if you want the 3.16 radio you'd have to take the OTA.

Since you relocked, I'm assuming you know how to use fastboot. Go to here and download the RUU 3.15.651.16 - HBOOT 2.09 from the right. This will give you an RUU.zip. Throw that in your fastboot folder on the pc and follow step 8 and 9. This will run the RUU and put you in 3.15 Stock.

If you take the 3.16 OTA, only the newest version of TWRP (2.4.1.0) will work. And the only roms you'll be able to use are those that use 3.16 as a base. Any other base and the touchscreen might not work.

I am have to laugh at the original poster now. I don't want to go through the hassle of getting s-off! But now look at all the hassles you have. S-off is an easier and less hassle procedure!
