[Q] COLOR CAST in samsung note display - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everybody,
i've got a Samsung Note from march 20th and in these days i've noticed sort of a yellowish cast, comparing some of my photos in facebook page, personal website, flickr gallery and using Opera Mobile and the native android 2.3.6 browser.
The cast is not only when viewing the picture, but i notice it's also present in the white background of the browser, and using also the Pulse application for RSS feed.
Help me please, 'cause it's for me very important not to have colours falsed.
Thank you all, and have a great day
Bernardo from Italy

Notepad with video

I'm taking a week of classes for work and would like to record the lectures (it is allowed) on video. While recording, I want to supplement the video with handwritten notes where appropriate. Has anyone seen an app that allows you to take notes that synchs with the video?
Thanks -
I too am in search of the perfect solution for taking lecture notes/audio/video. I've spent the last two days reading, searching, and testing apps. So far the best solution I have found is an app that will let me record audio while typing text notes (although my ATP's mic is terrible). The only solution I could come up with is to record video from my Razr and stitch the notes and video together after the class in Evernote or something similar.
I read at some point in the past two days about ICS not allowing the camera to operate in the background while using another app or when the screen turns off (tablet sleeps). I got burned on an app purchase because of this. The dev said it would still record while I did other things because the app ran as a "service". It didn't... cam stream would shut down if app wasn't active on the screen and it never would record to SD. I'm not going to name-and-shame the app here, but it seems we're both SOL for the moment. I'd sell a kidney to have an app that would allow video, external mic audio, and typed notes at the same time.
I have no idea if this will work or not, but it's worth a shot for you guys wanting this.
This is my idea:
Install "OverSkreen Browser", it's basicly an internet browser that works like a browser does on a PC, it adds a layer on top of the screen where the browser is in. So you can launch (for example) Youtube app, and have the OverSkreen browser sit on top of the YouTube app, being able to interact with both of the apps.
I do not know if this also works with the camera, but try it out
Just install the browser, set it up, launch the browser, click on home, launch the camera, press recent apps (or click the notification that comes up with overskreen browser) and click on it.
That would possibly allow you to record while also being able to take note in for example Google Docs.

Well... the good news is that the Overskreen browser actually worked. I could successfully record 720p HD video in the background while running Evernote in the Overskreen browser.
The bad news is that the web version of Evernote sucks equally well in both the stock browser and Overskreen. I will have to find another web-based note taking solution if I'm going to solve my video recording problem while taking notes. Perhaps I might try Google Docs or SpringPad. SpringPad's new interface for taking lecture notes just doesn't look like it will work though.... since it's been Pinterest-ified.
On a side note, I was able to use Gmail successfully while recording 720p video in the background using Overskreen with minimal input lag... so there is hope.
Any other suggestions on quality web-based note taking apps?

android youtube app non HD as standard resolution possible?

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if it's possible to make google's official youtube app to play every video in Non-HD mode on my samsung galaxy tab 10.1 (origianal)? Samsung released a crappy ICS update so video playback is horribly laggy especially HD ones, so I want to watch youtube videos in non-HD, but I have to keep pressing the video window, then tap the 'HD' icon and it reloads the video....and it just takes too long.
my tab is rooted, so I am willing to install a modded app IF it's available, but is there any way to set non-HD resolution as default?
Thanks!

Instagram extra low resolution uploads ONLY from Tab s6

Whenever I post on Instagram, my 1080 photo suddenly becomes almost at 480p. I tried uploading the same file on my iphoen 8+ and Google Pixel 2 and they retain the 1080p resolution, except with Tab s6. Anyone knows why this is happening? Is it because Instagram is not yet optimized for the tab s6? I bought Tab s6 for editing more comfortably with a bigger screen and now I still have to upload it to my lightroom cloud.
Appreciate answers!

Problem with video

Hi. I bought yesterday the s7 plus. I did the updates but I have a specific problem. I can't watch video from live streaming at bet365. The sound is ok but the picture is black. This happens not for all matches but for most of them. At the same time, I tried from my phone (Samsung s10) and everything was ok. I tried with Google Chrome and Samsung browser and I had the same results. Any idea?

Photo Gallery GTS 4

Coming from a Samsung Active 2 owner, Samsung's have a photo gallery to view downloaded pics held in watch memory etc.
Does the GTS 4 have a photo gallery? Or an app downloadable? I can't find info anywhere. Watched countless GTS 4 YT review vids to no avail.
Sounds silly to ask 2bh, surely it does, anyone shed light?
Had enough of round OLED screens, and want a square watch instead.
No, it doesn't have.
