[Q] Will I still get Zune updates after downgrade to stock ROM? - HTC Radar

This may be a stupid question, but I just can't find a straight answer anywhere, so hope you can help.
My problem is I bought an HTC radar C110ein JP hoping it'd get extensive language support like my IS12T, only to find out it was a HongKong unit with just English and Chinese display languages.
The issue is this was supposed to be a present for someone that can only speak Spanish.
I was suggested in another thread to load a stock ROM for Europe, but none match my current phone version (so it'd be a downgrade):
- Firmware: 1600.2200.20301.708
- RadioSofware: 16.23.03.17_16.27.00.23
- Bootloader: 2.3.160015.3(134621)
My questions are therefore:
- If I get one of these European stock ROMs, will I get also the language packs delivered by default in the European region (which include the one I want, Spanish)?
- Will my phone be updatable through the regular Zune channel afterwards?
- Should I rather get the newest, oldest, or it doesn't matter? (assuming I'll get the updates normally)

Could you please explain me how did you get that to work…
As I wrote elsewhere (link), I tried to transfer my phone with the European RUU/ROM, but unfortunately I get an error:
- "ERROR [294] : INVALID VENDER ID"
Seems that it's not that easy to load a ROM from a different region even if the phone is unbranded... Any ideas as to how to get it done???

repeat .. it was a trophy ...
approximately as described in the post.

upgrade UK xdaII to which rom?

UK XDA II but the sms bug (missing +) is driving me slightly mad.
I'd like to upgrade to a rom which has this fixed but preferably has GPRS on all the time (I believe the tmobile one doesnt?.. what about the latest qtek?).
Any suggestions as to which?
Also, what do we think the chances of being able to apply a new O2 rom (when it comes out) back on top of say a qtek one? I'm assuming it may give an ID error but we know how to bypass that now?
A UK ROM update will be available soon. I'm not sure if this includes any SMS missing "+" fix, but it should address the Bluetooth COM/GPS issues.
You can use the T-mobile rom and change the MS file to Asia or UK rom then you can use the a useual what you required.
How can I do
Dear All,
Please help to show me the steps for upgrade my XDA II ROM to lastest version, I try upgrade it but show incorrect country ID error....

[Q] Country/Carrier?

I have an unlocked GS2, is there an easy way to tell what country and carrier is from? Thanks in advance.
If it still has the FW it was shipped with, you could tell by that.
Look for the FW version (like XXKE2 for example) and the salescode/CSC that is currently installed (*#272*<your-phones-IMEI># - VIA for example).
Then look in the FW download threads in the dev section, with some some luck you find a FW with the same combination, usually there's also info from where it is.
(XXKE2 and VIA from the above examples would be German MultiCSC, o2 (VIA = ViagInterkom = o2) to be more precise - it's what I had).
Worth a shot.

Issue with flashing SBF on my RAZR MAXX

Hi Guys.
My official stock is :
6.7.2-180_SLC-34_SIGNLATAM_USASPYDRETBRPLUSB1B2B5B8B8LA033.0R_SPYDERICSMAXRETBRLA_P002_A006_HWp2b_CFC_fastboot.xml.zip
which is : Retail Brazilian (MAXX)
I got it from here :
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/umts_spyder/list.php
and it works like a charm.
There is a language that is missing on my version (although i have English in it but i want the other language too).
Tried to flash :
SPYDERIRD_U.01.6.7.3-94_SPI-324_04.11.01P_0A.74_ASIA_OPERATOR_CFC_HWp2b_SIGNED.xml.zip
which has english and some other languages i want, but i get and error while flashing "cdt.bin_signed"....
is there a way to manipulate the files to add the languages ? (tried to take the "system_signed" file from the wanted sbf and flashed it with all the other original sbf files but i get boot error)
Thanks alot!
anyone ?

You won't be able to flash Asian firmware. Your phone isn't from there. That cdt.bin signed error is telling you that you're trying to flash the wrong firmware.
Now, as far as I can see - you can flash some firmwares from different regions. Mine is from Hong Kong and I can flash British, but I doubt I could flash any North/South American. What language are you looking for? Have you tried Central European?

S9 plus G965N (South Korea sk) - how to flash Europe F and increase partition size

Hello everyone,
I have a south Korea:
Device spec:
S9 plus G965M with Exynos 9810 and says SK Telecom in the start but I think it's unlocked because I have my Portuguese sim card inside and it's working here in Portugal
Band name Ron : G965N KSU 1ARJ1
This
I've went thru a lot of threads but I got flooded with so many information that I'm afraid of the steps to do.
Main goal:
1. Use the phone in Europe / Portugal
2. Change the ROM because even with reset and English chosen, Android has a lot of menus in Korean
3. Even boot loader for Odin is Korean.
4. Install Android pie 9.0 and continue to receive updates. This phone is stopped in October patch. I think it won't update unless I put a Korean sim
Since the current official ROM 9.0 with oneUI and Pie is for 965F and not 965N (mine), and since N partition is smaller, where should I start or how?
10. Should I start with CSC change? Will that change partition also? To what CSC then?
11. Root? TWRP? Custom ROM?
12. I don't care about Samsung pay, but will I lose VoltLTE?
Thanks a lot for your time.
Hi folks,,,
At first excuse my language just plz try to keep up with me to get help
So I bought an used S9 plus Duos, inside its G965F...software info, build number its also G965F,, outside on the back G965F made in Vietnam,,, i discovered that's there is root and its on February security patch i tried to unroot it using Odin,,,the where i discovered its G965N!!!! Tried to continue by downloading official g965N firmware (pie 9) ... when the device restarted after using odin the phone working or showing just one sim even it was working just fine and even I used pie firmware its went back to oreo!!!
Plz ... Biiiig plz I need advices and solutions,,, I want to clean the root, I want to get updates ... and I want to get both of sim 1 and sim 2 work

1: cool, super easy and it sounds like you got it taken care of anyways
2: it’s a Exynos processor, so you should be able to root it and throw whatever ROM you want on it
3: if it’s a Korean model it should accept a G965F firmware flash in Odin which isnt a korean bootloader, and even if its not compatible, Odin will just fail out on the flash unless you have the modded version of Odin that is designed to ignore version mismatch errors and flash anyways
4: manually update it with Odin and don’t fiddle with the carrier specific needs for updates
What happened to 5 through 9?? (kidding, I can read between the lines)
10: CSC stands for country specific product code, or something like that. It tells the phone what market it is supposed to be intended for
11: sure, if you want, but youll trip knox if you do. sure. if youd like to, youre welcome to do that
12: SPay can be wonky depending on your CSC, but voLTE is a firmware/carrier specific. I have a regular S9 that i purchased from Cricket (united states MVNO carrier) and it had voLTE when i got it, but i flashed the G960U1 firmware (the "U1" iteration is the snapdragon unbranded version) and voLTE and WiFi calling are now both gone from my menu

oh, and youre not gonna change the partition size to anything bigger than it came with. When you Odin flash the firmware, it wont change the amount of internal storage available unless you inadvertently shrunk it with a firmware flash of a smaller storage base phone, which seems unlikely. This was more common in the standard 16gb internal storage days. If the internal storage amnt is incorrect after a firmware flash, factory reset it in stock recovery and that should correct the issue

Realme 6 - Global Version Firmware Update

Hey everyone. I'm a proud new owner of a Realme 6. I bought it as being a global version (model RMX2001) 4/128GB.
I updated but found out that the firmware version was RMX2001_11.B.33. I think it must be a Russian Version even though I bought it through a spanish online retailer, since the box comes in russian.
I checked and there was a version for the Indian Region (RMX2001_11.B.37)with the same changelog as the one for the European Region (RMX2001_11.B.34). I downloaded the firmware for the European Region (RMX2001_11.B.34) and updated through the recovery mode.
Can someone explain to me what are the consequences of doing such a thing since I updated a RMX2001 model with a RMX2001EU model? Also, does this mean that from now on I'll get the OTA updates for the RMX2001EU model, European Region or only the ones for the RMX2001 model, whatever region I got?
Any other input regarding this subject is deeply appreciated. I'm curious more than anything. Thanks!
my phone is also a eu model, and didnt get the latest update to.
what i did is realme.com india region/market and find the o.zip RMX2001_11.B.37 and installed
everything working just fine for me. so i think all those phones are just the same..

I got my phone from amazon spain. I live in switzerland.
The latest OTA was B.30 for me. I downloaded B.37 from Realme Site and also updated via recovery.
Everything works however.
The hardware is definitely the same in all phones. But somethings still different. Some phones are able to unlock bootloader (india models I think) while EU models cant.

I definitely updated my Global Version with the EU Firmware. And in the settings I have the RMX2001_11.B.34 Version (which is actually the same as the RMX2001_11.B.37 according to the changelog, but not the size). I prefer the EU version since it may have less bloatware and ads due to the European restrictions. Also, I live in Portugal so I think it's better to use the EU version, unless a more recent version is available.

That's the strange part. It seems all roms are interchangeable, but then, what are the differences? Actually, how can one know what is their region? I say mine must be from Russia due to the text in the box and it also had a russian app installed. I updated with the EU rom and the model still is RMX2001 (not RMX2001EU), but the version is RMX2001_11.B.34. So I used a RMX2001EU_11.B.34 rom and it updated to the RMX2001_11.B.34 (missing the EU part). Furthermore, all package names and MD5 checksum are the same, when compared. Therefore, I actually think it is all the same and one can use any rom to update.

I didnt even realize that I downloaded the "non EU" rom from the india site. I honestly dont know if I had an EU rom when I first booted up my phone. I dont remember seeing EU in the OTA settings. However the latest OTA for me was the b.30, which is why I updated to b.37 manually because i thought higher number = latest update
Yeah its very weird. I only know that there is a global and an india version of the phone. We definitely have the global one or else we would have trouble with the 4g signal (or at least me here in switzerland)
EDIT: I think im a little confused now. I think you mean you had the RMX2001EU_11.A.34 (with the A)
There is A and B. Probably A for global and B for india
on 4pda forum some members mention that RU firmware supports "call recording", in all other roms(incl. EU) thats restricted due legal laws

You're right. I updated with the RMX2001EU_11.A.34 firmware version. Actually, I must have updated to the RMX2001_11.B.33 via OTA and then by updating with the RMX2001EU_11.B.34, I ended up with the build number RMX2001_11.A.34. At least that's what shows up.
I honestly think we can use whichever we want that any will work. I'll stick to the EU versions.

So supposedly, you downgraded... This is definitely weird! ahah As long as nothing is bricked, it's fine. At least we know that we can update with any version.
Also, on a separate note, does anyone know how to check volte and vowifi? Or enable it?

Well, both versions are supposed to bring the very same updates. I'd rather wanted to be on EU version too, even if its just for the file name and nothing else lol. My phone probably shipped with the A version and I mistakenly updated it to B
if you look at the changelog it is the same for both versions

Hi. I want to buy a realme 6 in Spain but I need to record calls. The EU version does not allow to record calls, but the Indian Rom does include call recording. I have read that you installed the Indian version, can you see if you have the option to record calls?
To change rom is just install? There is no need to open bootloader, right? Can the Indian Rom be used in any country? I want to use in Spain
Thank you very much.

But I think it is only necessary to change the EU rom to a RU or Indian Rom. Do I need to unlock bootloader just to switch to a Rom from another country? It's strange...
I updated but found out that the firmware version was RMX2001_11.A.38.
