Music control Notification bar/Multitask - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hi there guys,
With days of use with our "very nice" Xperia S.
Ive been waiting few features to be added at this section.
Does somebody know an music control "add-on" for this phone?
For notification bar or even better, for the multitasking menu.
Like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Its really anoying to switch everytime...
Thanks in advance

- I think , it's impossible if you want to add Music widget / controller to "multi-tasking menu"
- If you want music widget / controller add to "notification bar" , u need android 4.0 ics library to make it possible.

I'm almost 100% sure Sony would add this in 4.0 update. Samsung has done it with even their gingerbread roms, just need someone with the skills to do it. But I can wait.

Nothing is impossible.
Look the iphone
Hmm then we must wait and hope!
Thx for your response guys

yes, nothing is impossible, just dig in inside play store and look for widgetsoid,
once u downloaded it, open it and check Play/Pause,Previous and Next on sound tab, then go to advanced tab, check on Notification and Widget Invisible, plus u can customize the look of your notification widget on theme tab.
ps - for some reason (i dont know) the widget will not play/pause, next or previous, but once u hit the button, a popup will appear in order to response.
a
here is mine. Sorry for the screenshot (not yet root)

i think it is possible also with GB libs...
i remember Samsung did that also in Eclair roms...
you should modify SystemUI.apk and framework.jar, the same way it has been modified for adding "notification toggles", calling the fw methods called by the widget...
You should be root of course to do that...

Thanks krabappel, yeah my old LG O2x had music built into the notifications bar, was a cool idea similar to widgetsoid but better.
The O2x has it in gingerbread and had it on froyo.

Thx for yiur posts guys!
Ive checked that app but its rare, its shows an popup.. Im sure i saw somewhere to turn that off.. I couldnt find it anymore...
With modding we can do everything ...
Thx krabappel!!

@efe
The Samsung Galaxy S2 has a built in music widget on the notification bar.
Maybe there is a way to replace or port it from the Galaxy S2 or search there in the treaths

[Q] Mini apps tray modification, removal

I find mini apps tray (show / hide dock at bottom), with apps showed that I couldn't modify, quite annoying. Searched internet for solution - modifying it or removing it fully, but no success...
Does anybody have an idea how to remove or modify this tray?
Thanks.
I've no clue what you are referring to. "Mini Apps Tray" is a feature of Touchwiz UX 4.0 though.
Hehe, what you see is the apps you have used recently. Do some search on YouTube on Honeycomb and watch so you can see how honeycomb work and how you use it

Sorry, I obviously didn't explain it good. I'm not referring to left side pop-up bar that shows recent apps, but the downside one with taskbar, calendar, clock, mini music...

On the bottom in that pic? That is touchwiz.... hasn't been released yet. So unless you are sleeping with somebody at Samsung who hooked you up, I'm confused.
How do you have mini apps tray when its not released yet?
Sent from my GT-P7510 using XDA Premium App
To the direct left of the time display on the bottom bar, sometimes little notification app icons are shown there - kinda like in windows task tray. For instance, someone at bestbuy installed some speedometer app on the tab and it showed a little icon in that area. When you tapped it it said, enable gps for speedo to work (well I'm getting a little off topic) Anyway, I could not figure out how to get it out of there and it started to annoy me because it was a really ugly icon...
EDIT: Now that I reread the original post, it does seem like he is talking about the touchwiz app tray...
Am interested to know if there has been any progress with modifiying the Touchwiz Mini Apps tray. Is it possible to add Apps to it as I can't find a way to do it at the moment?
Thanks

you can get them to run because it is just more then adding an app to make it work. Samsung has kept this source to themselves. so we cant change those apps until they do.

[Q] Drop Down Toggles

Does anyone know if it will be possible to have toggles for wifi/bt/gps/silent/data in the notification drop down like other phones have?
You can download Widgetsoid and when you make a Widget it will give you the option of adding it to the notification bar.
When it's there, though, and you click on something it will open a new little popup window to press the buttons..kinda weird, dunno why it does that.
You need this ------>

This prevents notification bar widgets from directly controlling phone functions then? So it's safe to assume Extended Controls would do the same?

i don't think that does what the OP wants, which is toggles within the notification bar (ala Samsung phones).
as far as i've seen, we can only have the clickable pop-up widget version that was described above.
This has come up before..
This is good as your gonna get Notification Toggle
I use BATTERY GAUGE. it has a drop down menu when activated and shoes me battery percent. A must have app IMO

Yeah I guess I was spoiled with my samsung (before this thread I was not aware this was a samsung only feature). I really miss this feature... wish it came standard on all androids. The closest one to what I want is notification toggle, but it's still more clicks to what I want.
widgetsoid is closet that I can get,I too hate how we have to do at least two clicks instead of one like on CM7. But at least it's close and looks clean

Yea it kinda sucks. You still have to use the widget, so the drop down notification is useless. In my opinion. I had a infuse 4g for 1 day and that was the only feature I liked on the phone..

the dropdown controls for the captivate are awesome, I haven't seen an app in the market yet that could replace these. If anyone could make this it would be awesome!

Moto Style Widgets

***I take no credit for the widgets, I just themed them slightly***
+++There is currently a size issue with the widgets if you use them in any launcher other then the default Moto Launcher. I will be correcting this over the next few days, and cleaning up this post+++
There are a lot of options for data toggles but I wanted one that would match the other Motorola Widgets.
I modded the Data Enabler Widget so it will look more like stock, it is a free app so I don't see why posting it would be against the rules but if it is please let me know and I will remove it. Screenshots and download link is below.
I was able to find a flashlight app that matches the MotoWidgets too. Its called TeslaLED Flashlight. Just thought I would share.
I added a Ringer Toggle that has been modded to look like the Moto Widgets. This is Manups original work from the G1 days, but it still works on the Photon.
I have reworked some of Manups widgets and there are 2 more to share, a brightness toggle and Auto Rotate toggle, both work great and blend in with the stock widgets.
Tomorrow I'll clean up the post and add more screenshots.

those are stock moto widgets you must have moto blur, there is a wifi and bluetooth same with 4g double check again, if you need the files due to being on a different phone i can see what i can do about pulling those files and posting them
Looking forward to this once it's compatible with other launchers. Been using go launcher forever. Data widget is a huge plus , I'm using switch pro just for the same theme widgets
Nicely done

Well, i am currently using Galaxy S2. What do i need to give you so you could help out?
Sorry for the delay people life has been keeping me busy.
For the people that aren't already on moto blur and don't have the stock widgets I have a few other manup widgets I can test and theme but since each phone seems to handle some toggles differently idk if they would work on your phone/ROM.
I'll test tomorrow and see what works then get them to match in other launchers.
I'm going to try and theme the free wifi-tether widget so it will match too.I think that would make a nice addition.
Thanks! Nice work!

What is missing? These widgets? If so you should just have to reinstall them... I switched to CyanogenMod 7 so these widgets ended up on my back burner since I lost usage of the other ones from Moto Roms, then my system crashed and I haven't setup ADB again yet to start working on these apps.
I did see if there were some other I could add from the old Manup widgets but most of them won't work on 2.2 or new it seems...

May not seem like much, but this took alot of hard work due to my lack of expertise..

Looks like modified vlingo.
Yeah that's what a lot of other people are saying in other threads
So if I have the older Vlingo/Voice Command app already installed, will I have to get rid of it to replace it with this one? And does it also replace or modify the VoiceSearch.apk (Google's one that integrates with its Search and other Google apps and allows you to dictate searches)?

The zip is just the APK going to /system/app and the 5 libs going to /system/lib.
It will work on ShoStock2 same way it will work on all other Samsung ICS Roms.
This might work better on pure stock with all the bloat, but too lazy to try it myself.
I'm fairly certain this is 100% vlingo still...the voice is very robotic like your typical Vlingo app.
Thanks for the release but this is a half patch job. Will uninstall and keep a look out.
