i spendet more than 4 hours to find any solution why my galaxy gio wont upgrade to stock firmware 2.3.6 via odin
i took the firmware upgrade file from sammobile and folloved exactly the describet procedure but it wont work after trying 4 or 5 times
(heres a screenshot)
please reply if anyone knows whats the problem

Hi guys,
A friend of mine has sent me from Korea a Samsung Galaxy S2. Model Shw-m250s
I tried to upgrade it to android 4.1.2 jb..but i used a wrong firmware (i'm italian..and i used a firmware for italian s2, what a mistake!)
now my s2 is bricked..and whatever i do it appears a screen in which is only written "UPGRADE"
but if I press Volume Down+On/Off Button+Menu Button and then volume up
it goes to Downloading Mode
It means that if i find the correct firmware i can resurrect my s2.. please can anybody tell me where i can download it..or tell me what can i do to keep this s2 in function again?

Get the firmware from Samfirmware, flash it with Odin; instructions/guides on how to do this easily found by searching.

i tried to upgrade s2 shw-m250s to jelly bean with odin, but it failed and now i am stuck. please suggest me a method that can work for me.
plz send me official stock firmware for samsung salaxy s2 model no..i9100.... i tried in samsung live update but everytime i got a error ....downloading isnt completed .........plz hlp me.....
Nobody's going to send you stock firmware. Go to Samfirmware, download it yourself & flash it with Odin. If you don't know how, search. If you can't be bothered searching, leave your phone as it is.

There is a root kernel method you flash via Odin, Google it.
No succsess flashing original rom
Hello,
I use Odin to flash original rom, but no success. Odin says PASS, but after restart it says: "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in kies and try again".
I cant use Kies, this phone no connect with Kies.

I know my answer kinda late, but I know how to root this phone.
1. flash twrp via odin https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995306709
2. download nemoid rom and copy it to a SD-Card https://mega.nz/file/NZFzFbyL#zQ2sj87zrhYcxk41UN2tQD9MV9jUY2myAosOywCJW4Q
3.boot into twrp, and install the rom
4.enjoy it, the rom is rooted by default

I own a Samsung galaxy grand prime SM-G531F 4G Android 5.1.1. I thought of rooting it through odin. When it was downloading in downloading mode I took out the battery as it was taking too much time. Later when I tried to switch it on it said "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue please try recovery mode in kies and try again". I saw a few videos on youtube which said me to download firmware from sam mobiles and flash it using odin. I decided to do it. There are many firmwares for my mobile that is Samsung galaxy grand prime SM-G531F. I don't know the pda and csc of my mobile and I can't check it as my phone is bricked. Can I flash a firmware that is meant for some other pda and csc?
