See the attached image, you can notice the horizontal blank area when I tried to draw vertical lines. Now its very difficult to use the top controls of many apps. Phone had fallen down a few times, but that was months ago. Now suddenly this problem. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I have encountered this happening in several threads. Sometimes attached photos show up and others they don't. I have a reply in one thread with 4 photos. The first shows, the second has the full sized blank place holder that if you touch pops up the picture. The other 2 are small place holders that if you touch them lives the standard thread pop up with options to reply quote etc.
I have tried cleaning the data and wiping cache under settings/applicAtions/manage. Also have uninstalled and re installed and still getting this.
Anyone else experience this.

I've had some issues as well. I think it might happen via the pc as well.
I might have something to do with png files?
Were the ones about originally png?
I 'think' the xda uploader converts the png to jpg.
So perhaps that is the problem.
I've noticed jpgs go up fine.
They are jpeg. Usually .png files will not load for me. Let me try a picture from the camera.
These pictures show sometimes others they don't. Did my Serengeti picture show?

I think it is specific to the Note's ICS ROMs, yes. Images show fine in the XDA app on my Captivate running ICS.
I will add i javelin this issue on all tapatalk forum apps...not just xda

im only seeing white boxes and im a PC. has to be the way there being loaded up.
cuz i can go into other threads from my pc or phone and see the pictured. like the post your homescreen thread.
I had this problem a while ago trying to upload from the phone to twitter. The way I fixed it was to convert the photos from .png to .jpg using the app batch image in the market its .99 cents. I haven't found a free converter, but this app is worth it.

i just change the .png to .jpg with root explorer and it seems to let me load them up fine. if go through quickpic.

Nope, just happened to me on my Gingerbread ROM. What I've seen is that the snapshot saves in PNG format and that's what won't show. If I change to JPG and upload it works fine.

Last few times in this thread nothing shows. Plus this occurring in every thread now with all pics. Some show sometimes and sonera don't. This is every posted pic, not just the ones i post.

How do you change it from png to jpg in Quicpic?

They are similar but can be handled differently. give it a try and see
Sorry, they are .jpg the XT9 keep changing it to .jpeg when i type it in.

Hi,
I have a red blur which shows when using my main camera.
I thought it was dust but wife a phone has same problem.
It is only really visible on white surfaces. But once you know its there it becomes annoying.
is a common problem. Are there any fixes available

Known issue. Most smartphone cameras produce artifacts of one description or another on pics under various conditions. No fixes I'm aware of.

Some people say using 3rd party camera apps from Google Play (dont know specifics as I've only seen them mentioned on here & I don't use them) can reduce the artifacts in pics/improve picture quality, might be worth trying a few ?

Does anyone know how to change the Lockscreen shortcuts? May I'm blind but I haven't been able to find it. I don't need a chat-on icon for a shortcut.

When you are in the lockscreen settings, click on the word shortcuts. That should let you edit them.

And this is the third thread created about this... Xda should have a system like.. When you create a thread.. Before its posted it will automatically search for keywords in the text somehow and bring you some alternative to cancel the post due to finding the answer from forced search or still create the thread

There's a good vB mod that does just that. Maybe the admins would consider installing it.
Uhhh, there is one already installed here and it does exactly that. The problem is, is that people ignore it.

I flashed the Aokp ROM on my xperia U and got some interesting results. On flashing the non-play version the notification bar was missing and a lot of things were clearly broken. And on flashing the play version the phone now detects an external mouse or something. First I thought some accessibility feature had gotten turned on. I checked and nothing. The touch still works but a stupid pointer shows up on the display which I can navigate around with. But typings a pain and I could really use any suggestions anyone might have.
One of the reasons I think it has something to do with the external mouse thing is that the pointer gets affected by the pointer speed settings in the language and input tab!.

a week ago i've noticed that my power button is a bit too sensitive, now i'm just touching it like the homescreen and the display turns off. Sometimes it stays pushed and reboot for several times, can somebody help me?
