Battery - Motorola Droid RAZR

Anyone know where I could buy just a maxx battery at? A guy has a maxx for sale but no battery????
Sent from my DROID RAZR

I know they are on ebay for sure. I don't know of any wholesalers or retailers off the top of my head.

Here is one place that carries the maxx battery.

Razr vs. Maxx rooting

Hey everyone,
I was thinking about getting the razr maxx and have what is probably a stupid question. Is there any difference between the two devices other than the battery? Because I would have to root the maxx and just want to make sure all the devolpment on the razr would work with the maxx.
Thanks for the neebie help,
Pretty much other than the battery everything else is identical, afaik.

[Q] Do you have a Razr or a Maxx

Please vote.
Nice tie going.
Currently Razr...
Will get a Maxx battery if I can find a nice enough deal on one
Thats weird, I was expecting 5-6 times more Razr than Maxx owners
Razr owner here. Surprised to see there're more Maxx owners in the poll
Razr owner here also.
Just root and install a custom rom to get as much or better battery life than a stock Maxx.

Same here I own a Razr. Maybe once we get more people voting the Razr will beat the Maxx by a larger %.
I have a Razr and am quite happy with it... But will convert it to Maxx as soon as the parts are available.
This is more like what I would expect given how much longer the Razr has been out over the Maxx. Oh I should have added one of the new color Razr's as a choice... oh well too late.
Maxx for the win The battery life soars light years ahead of my third battery in my Incredible.
btw-They are backordered right now at Corporate stores, I got the last one from a local retail store. Apparently Motorola hasn't peaked production yet...hmmm, didn't they make a high demand for the X when it came out also?

It's actually both the RAZR and the RAZR MAXX. They run identical software. The only real difference is the bigger battery, slight change in the color of the housing and the Motorola plate on the front top is changed. The XT912 is the "Droid" version for VZW and the XT910 is the GSM version used world wide. Although there is no MAXX for the XT910.
no razr maxx in the UK so I got the Droid razr

Razr Maxx here. Tons of battery life with 4G on all day!
I am probably going to get the RAZR, because the Maxx is $100 more just for battery. I'll just go pick up a USB battery pack for $40 and then I get a thinner phone, too. Also, the white looks pretty sharp. Haha, get it (Its not very funny)?
Any RAZR owners know of the best ICS rom?
Razr owner. I really don't have issues with the battery. I am usually busy at work so my battery lasts about 18 a day. Them on the weekends, I am usually close to a power outlet.

Best to get the MAXX. The extra battery life is worth it. I had the RAZR and carried around an extra potable battery charger. Once the MAXX was announced I returned the RAZR. Bought the MAXX on launch day, best decision I made. I get about 18+ hours on a single charge. Best RAZR did was 8-9 hours.

Razr battery and future Motorola products

Well Im hoping this pattern doesn't hold true but the DROID razr and maxx don't have removable batteries and the DROID 4 also doesn't have a removable battery. Is this something we will be seeing in future Motorola phones, unremovable batteries. I hope not but not having removable batteries does allow for the batteries to be more compact and therefore the phone more compact.

Since this is a dead thread mods please delete it

I don't see this being an issue. Apple has had no removable battery and their phones are just fine. And the maxx is great and still thin with this large battery. Look at all the extended batteries where it creates a massive hump.

Yeah that was just a stupid thread. The maxx is still really thin and has a great battery and as time goes on the battery technology will get much better.

The latest sony xperia s also having nonremovable battery.

I would have to say a non removable battery helps make the Device slimmer cuz they can have odd shaped batteries and not have to worry. And not having to worry about a battery door. Though I hope it isn't the future, at least with current battery tech.

Razr or Photon?

Both the phones are almost similar.
1 thing that doesn't matter is the carrier, doesn't matter at all. So, cannot decide on this basis.
Photon costs less but then Razr is selling better than Photon AFAIK.
Other than the carrier, which phone would you recommend and why? Just help me decide.
Thanks
Razr! Photon us much bulkier than even the Maxx and terrible battery life.

Once you realize great battery life with out adding a bulky battery everything else becomes obsolete.

You have to be careful with those, as I know mine takes a EV40 battery and not a EB40 as listed in the link. I have seen them on ebay and amazon by searching EV40 battery. I am not 100% sure however all razr HD maxx phones have EV40 battery as in my own. Maybe someone else can answer that.
