Is there an app like Haret for Android? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello good members of XDA.
I'm curious to know if there is any app for android that works like Haret for Windows Mobile?
I want to be able to boot Rhobuntu on my Rhodium that is currently running a NAND Android Rom, and I don't wanna have to revert back to Windows Mobile to do so.
Thank you!

Amusingly enough, I've been wondering the same thing myself for sometime. That way I could install and test NAND builds, and use my current SD build.
Found this: http://lifehacker.com/5826050/how-to-dual-boot-multiple-roms-on-your-android-phone
but I'm not sure how well it'll work on our phones (got a Rhodium too)

[Q] Fell for HTC HD2 WinOs BS - NEWBIES FOR DRIOD OS

Hi everyone. I am a complete idiot when it comes to phones so I thought I was doing well when I shelled out some cabbage for the HTC HD2 only to find that the WinOs SUX! Thats how I found this site. I am wondering if anyone can provide step by step video / detailed instructions on the best driod os for a tmobile usa htc hd2 with updated rom. My knowledge stops at turning the phone on so all the talk about radio and rom changes etc is foreign. I am stuck with this phone now and need some help. Again, sorry for being an idiot and I thank you for any guidance you can give.
By updated ROM I mean that I have the updated rom supplied by tmobile....2.13.531.1 (90963) WWE...radio 2.10.50.26.....OS version....5.2.21892 (21892.5.0.89)
welcome to the forum; everything you need to know is DEF here......now with that said I have to be the first to say that nobody is going to be inclined to help you until you read up and educate yourself first a little bit. people go through the trouble of writing tutorial and making stickies for the soul purpose of informing people (such as yourself) with limited/minimal knowledge. do yourself a favor and take a little bit to familiarize yourself with your phone and read as much as you can and I'm sure that whatever questions you might have about getting started will be found. as far as which android os is better, well that's subjective. your best bet is to flash and try any and all and form your own opinion. good luck and welcome again.

and as the above stated...do some reading first before starting threads. Most often than not...people have been in your shoes before..all you gotta do is search. And Welcome, and good luck with your phone endeavors!
Use either darkstone sence or hdfroyo from darkstone by far best android builds. I got the crazy robot voice during calls with 2.13 tmo us rom. I would use one of the custom roms people on here sugest. Or do what i did and install the previois tmo us 2.10 rom. All can be found on this site. Look around there are plenty of guides and search on youtube there are videos on there also. Just a note android is much better than win mo but the builds are about 95%. They all still have some small issues, bluetooth not working, compass os wacky ect. But very useable as an everyday os. Goes on sdcard so your NOT replaceing win mo. If you restart the phone youll be back in win mo and have to start android again but its a simple prosess and there are android launcher apps on this site that will give u a win mo icon to launch android in one click. Pretty slick. Just do some reading you be ok.
Sent from my HTC HD Droid 2 using XDA App
1. Go to HD2 ROM Forum
2. Install HSPL3 (Hard SPL)
3. Install New Radio (Not required - but please pay attention - reading required!)
4. Install New ROM - I recommend ChuckyROM, VB, or Energy (need WWE)
5. Select Android Build and download
6. Don't expect Miracles
7. ???
8. Profit!!
Also....
You can't just simply "upgrade" the WM rom. You still need it to run the android rom, just like the fellows above said, read up on it and you will get going soon.

[Q] HD2 with Android Single-Boot

Hi there,
I'm using Android for some time now. And it works far far better than WM. Now was my question. Is there a possibility to single-boot android. So installing android like the shipped rom. No Windows Mobile ?
Best regards
Not yet ! You have to be patient. A team work on an Android nand for HD2.
But it's not finish.

[Q] MIUI+PerfectPesov1.7a on MultiROM + WP7 themes port

Hey guys!
I recently checked these forums and saw the amount of MIUI vibes going on.
I am going to try either Fundooz's or MasterShefis' MIUI ROM on my Optimus One, but I have two questions.
Will either of them run off sdcard using MultiROM while PerfectPesov1.7a is on internal? I have a 4GB SDcard in my O1 and I already have a 1gb partition from previous MultiROM use. I've removed MultiROM since, but I'd put it back on if I can get MIUI to boot off SD!
Also, are there any MDPI WP7 MIUI themes? I've seen abaolutely stunning ones, and if I get MIUI, I want one!
I'll sneak in a third question, is there TellMe (wp7 voice commands) for MIUI or CM7 roms or Android in General? Surely someone can replicate it if anyone wants to work together to try, that works

[Q] Android Versions which is the most reliable and secure to incerase the speed

Please advice me Which Androind Version it is more safe and secure and may provide me an increase of speed.
I will like to remove the Wndows professional version from my HTC HD2 Leo Smartpone. But after reading several Androind versions I feel a little bit confusig which one could be the best for me. Certainly the Rafdroing Android version looks the best, but there are some risks around it and I do not see too may comments about users.
The Android Ice Cream or Jelly looks also interesting and looks easy and theres are other Androing version too easy to install.
Why I am looking to change my OS from my HTC HD2 Leo ? Because I think that the Androind version it is the most wit tons of free applicaitons, thems etc and as stable. The second point it is that I would like to increase at least a little bit the speed of my Smartphone
1.2 Ghz or 1.$Ghz could be the best thing that could happen to me. The last point is that the old windows version was so limited with flash and video, so I decided to remove it.
Certainly that I would like first to get a good backup of my present operating system in case of failure to return to my old version.
soI need a suggestion to a good backup to move everything to my SD or to move everything to my Desktop via USB interface.
It will be plus if I can install a dual boot in my HTC to try the new Windows 7 together with Androind, but I m most decided to run the Android version. Please advice me which Android could provide me a better performance, secure, reliable and increase the speed. the Rafdroid (vhichv version) or the Ice Cread Android or any other version. Please provide the link to proceed to Install> Thank you fellows for your time and consideraionts

New to HD2 - Bought one with a NAND install of CM 11, want to dual boot 6.5 and 7...

I am wondering if I should just put it back to stock with the RUU or start from where it is. I was told it is a NAND install of 4.1.2 (CM). I want to be able to dual boot Windows Phone 7 and 6.5. What should I do with it? I got this phone purely to play with it. I have several android devices already so having android on it isn't that appealing.
I would stick WM6.5.5 custom rom on it from NRG along with radio flash to be safe.
Loads of still active links in HD2 wiki for WM roms/radios/flash tools etc.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/HTC_HD2#ROMs
Once flashed with WM6.5.5 I would test functions for while & be sure no hardware glitches before further playing.
WM6.5.5 is pretty good platform if you got experience with it & know where find software (plenty about if look), I still use it as a daily as so simple yet capable.
WP7 was a bit poor but a good way test/use platform back in day.
