i had an quick look i not totaly sure what i am looking for anyone to point me in the right direction ?

are you using ics 4.03 with baseband 1.1?
If you are, you only have to go to slatedroid.com and search for the all winner a10 tablets section they have a dedicated onda section.
once there look for the googleplay script fix.
then make sure you choose the build property option galaxy s2 to allow all the apps you have been missing.
there are other scripts there for you to try.

for anyone that might read this just to let you now works and its not working great an very nice tap

[Q] Not able to download TABLET edition apps on the market...

I was trying to download the Wall Street Journal and/or New York Times Tablet editions but I think it doesn't see my phone as a tablet and blocks the download . . . Is there a way around this? or an .apk I could directly download and install? I found the BBC tablet edition in the market and it works well so not sure what's going on . . .
Any thoughts on this?
I don't really know but may be they are not configured the same - if it was an official BBC app and allowed download to our devices then I would question it more.
But like I said, I don't really have much knowledge about it so hopefully someone can tweak it.
Hey mate can also confirm this, downloaded it and once I opened it there was a message at the top stating not compatible with this device... could be Honeycomb dependent any one have a Galaxy Tab? That could try it?

Zinio questions and answers...

So, I know there is another zinio thread, but it is dead right now.
I have both versions installed that were working, and they both give me the "This version is unsupported you need to update" message. I was browsing around and they finally released the official app. It is on the market, but I cannot get it on either my phone or my rooted stock nook.
http://www.mobileburn.com/news.jsp?Id=15103
So, can anyone please find and post the recent official version which does work?
Many thanks in advance.
SIncerely,
Leko
P.S. I do think the magazines in the BN app are better, but the magazines I want (and already bought) are in the zinio app. So, go where the product is right?
Thanks all....
Agree- would love zinio app to install on Nook. Tried changing build.prop to Galaxy Tab, but no love. All that did was break my Netflix!

Soniq 32" Smart TV android 2.2.1

Hi All,
I picked up a Soniq 32" Lcd last weekend and it runs android. I have been trying unsuccessfully to root this device. There is no usb debugging option so I am unable to use Z4 or alike.
I also have been trying to get the official maketplace installed by it keeps crashing.... anyone had any experience with these??
Thanks
BEn
Maybe try apps like this one:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...EsImNvbS5icmlhbmYyMS5udGhpZGRlbnNldHRpbmdzIl0.
To enable the hidden usb debuggin?
APK
Any Idea how to get the APK file?
Developer has it on his blog:
http://brianf21.blogspot.ca/
advancedservers, haven't worked out how to get the market on the soniq yet, but I found a way to install apps, just drop them onto a flash drive and then install them through the file manager in all apps. hope this helps.
Has anyone successfully rooted this android TV?
I have a Soniq E55V13A with Android 4.2.1
I know a few people have had trouble getting the TV Launcher on to it which skips the annoying cinavision front page and goes straight to TV.
The proper Soniq TV Launcher that you want is not in the Google play store as far as I can tell even though it is freely available in the Soniq cinavision market.
Here is the apk backed up from mine if you're having trouble getting it.
You can put it on a usb drive and install it from there.

Bumping an old thread
Hi All,
I have the Soniq S55V14B-AU Running the original Android Firmware (Not sure how to find this). By now I am sure there would be a way to root this device and rid it of the cancer that is Cinavision. Can anyone help me? I don't have much cash to buy an up to date smart TV and considering this is running Android I am sure there would be a way by now to remove the trash and actually get Netflix on it.
Hope someone can help.
I gave up trying to update. I don't think Soniq ever released a decent update and even their website for updates is broken.
I vaguely remember being able install some apks via usb, maybe even root, but I doubt you will ever find an open source version of android built for your model.
Your best bet would be to get a Chromecast/Fire Stick/Roku etc. and use all the streaming features from there through HDMI. In fact you should definitely not connect the TV to the internet. It's so full of security holes that I've seen a report from at least one user who had ransomware take over his Soniq TV.

[Q] New to Android - few questions

Hi,
so far I have been using iOS devices and they pretty much do what I need, even without jailbrake.
Unfortunately iPhone has a small screen and the new one I don't really like (plus it is quite expensive).
I am looking at WP but it also has few down sides (for me) despite of system itself looking great!
So,, here we come to SGSIII and few questions.
On my iPad I use VPN and got myself apps from UK and US store without problem. Now I can enjoy the likes of BBC iPlayer and Netflix.
If I'll get SGSIII will I be able to do the same?
I was told SGS III has locked bootloader and I will need access to this if I want to root this phone in order to download apps (like Netflix) from Internet , not from Google Play which in Poland will not have them available.
If SGSIII (which wen down in price a bit) will not do what I need - what else (with approx 4,5" screen) should I look at?

Does it mean that I will have no problem making VPN and Netflix work on this device?
And installing Netflix app (which in polish Play is not available).
You shouldn't have any problems running netflix if you root your device all your doing is getting superuser permission. If u flash a custom Rom you may have some problems then like I flashed paranoid android v2.13 and can't use the tvcatchup anymore still looking for a fixed!
Don't hold me to it I'm just going by my experience lol root didn't change anything service wise only the rom did.
No... custom roms is not my thing - i did not even needed to jailbrake my ipad so far. As long as I can get vpn up and apps like iPlayer and netflix all the rest is enough for me - all I need is browser, mail client, access to skydrive and MS services - and I am happy.
So I can get European SGSIII and should have no problem in getting the entertainment soft working on it?
TVCatchup blocks all VPNs
Just found something called Market Enabler - will that work for me to get those app from different markets...?
Yes market enabler allows you to find and download apps that are not available in your country.

Thanks! So unlike in case of Windows Phone I should be OK.

[Q] SGS3 China Unicom - rooted, UK stock Jelly Bean - market place issues

(sorry mods, realised I posted in the wrong forum - please move)
Hi people, I've fiddled my way around and managed to brick and unbrick my handset at least three times.
I'm currently running the latest stock UK Jelly Bean on my China Unicom SGS3
I'm trying to download things like Pandora, Skype, Snapchat etc
The don't show up on the handset search of google play
The show up on the pc version of google play, but say incompatable with this device
I've run market enabler, makes no difference to what I am doing
Any suggestions on where I am going wrong would be great.
I feel like I am finally at about 80% of where this handset should be, from the 2% of where it was when I bought it from China Unicom (fuktards)!
Wrong section, post in QA
Hi
I would recommend using a foreign mini sim. I hope you have one or an older one that can be clipped. I note that I need to pop mine in every couple of weeks to get updates on certain apps. Obviously, I don't get reception, but i get access to the right apps once I hook into wifi. Also a vpn couldn't hurt.
Cheers,
M.
