I need some help to resolve 2 questions.
1. How can i change the configuration to unlock the phone, not only by using "Power" button, but also "Home" button?
2. How can i transfer .epub files into my Windows Phone?
All i can find in XDA involved Android, or Windows Mobile, but not Windows Phone.
So any help is highly appreciated.
Don't think you can change the button function without an unlocked device and some hacking wizardry but I found this about .epub docs
Flibusta provides downloadable texts in .fb2, .epub or .mobi formats. The Windows Phone 7 Marketplace is tiny compared to Google market, but I found one free ebook reader called Freda that is able to read .epub files. Buried down in the UI ofr Freda, there is a Website page that allows to paste an URL in the text box. The same page also embeds Internet Explorer. I figured that the text box shall be used to download .epub document to the device. However, pasting a url to an .epub file distributed by Flibusta did not work. I tried another ebook reader, called iSilo. It was a very usable and feature-rich program on my old Palm TT, but it could not open my .epub file either.
An inspection of the HTTP session between the browser and Flibusta allowed to pinpoint a problem. Flibusta issues two HTTP 302 redirects: one to insure that the .fb2 document is converted to .epub and the other to compresses the .epub document, if needed. The Internet Explorer used in Windows Phone 7 did not want to follow the redirects, but typing manually the url given in the last redirect in the Freda search box worked.

Thanks for the info about Flibusta and the redirects - I will check it out, and make sure it works with the next release of Freda. Actually, I am about to start beta-testing that release in the next days, so if you want to join the beta-testing team, just let me know ([email protected]).
Incidentally, the flibusta catalog is also available as an OPDS book source on Freda (just find the 'unhide source' menu, and unhide the source called 'flibusta'). That should give a better book browsing experience. That 'website source' interface is really just a workaround for the fact that Microsoft won't let me register a program (e.g. Freda) as the app to open .epub files - and I'd be the first to admit that it is a pretty ugly workaround.

Alright Nookers, I got one for you all and haven't been able to find exactly what I needed.
I have a project coming up that is going to require a lot of signatures from people when I'm onsite. I would like to keep all this digital on the Nook rather than printing things out. Seems simple enough, and I can find several application that do this, but not to the extent that I would like.
This document is going to be in .doc format. What I have found with the digital signature applications is that they seem to only handle PDF. I've tried looking for Office Applications that allow ink write ups on the document, but haven't found anything yet (haven't paid for D2GO, Quickoffice doesn't have it as far as I've found).
I've thought of a few solutions and maybe you all can help out.
1) After I enter in the necessary information to the document, convert to PDF and use something like SIGNature e-sign. What would be good conversion tools to do such (preferrably ones that don't require to be online doing this).
2) An office app that allows ink mark ups, allowing them to sign.
3) A drawing app that allows someone to sign, then I can do a select all, copy over to the document and resize if necessary.
I'm probably making this way too hard on myself. I'd rather not have to re-create this other persons document as a text enter PDF if I can. Suggestions?

Why not just find a art program that lets you save the image? When I had to submit paperwork with digitalized signatures the easiest way was to capture the signitures as images and then put the images into the .doc. Though this method will require the signatories to trust you with their signature on a blank page.
The reason that the programs you find use pdf is that .doc is an editable format so it's similar to the problem of the option i mention. That's why those programs use pdfs when can be locked from editing.
I write reports daily on a laptop where I use Microsoft word and I use the insert file tool to insert word files that I have saved over the years of which I have several thousand. What I want to be able to do with my android phone is have my list of blurbs on the phone (which I have on my phone as word files) and insert them into a single document to compose my report.
I have been through Docs to Go, etc and have no luck with any of them having this tool
Is there any apps or software out there anyone is familiar with that can do such a thing or would someone be interested in developing it. My blurbs are just standard Microsoft word files that are a paragraph or page long that I insert into my docs. Thanks.
I currently have a CD for squaredancers that I sell. The app is a simple app that uses HTML tables and Adobe SWF movies. Samples of this app can be viewed at http://www.squaredancecd.com
I have copied all files to the MicroSD card, and clicked on the introductory page "welcome.htm"
The browser does not come up as an "opening" option, only the choice of HTML editor or HTML viewer...choosing the viewer, I get an error web page basically saying that it can't find content....although the actual hyperlink printed is long.
The same thing happens when I click on an SWF file...get the same response.
Thinking that it needed to be installed on the mnt/SDCard, I moved all files over to the Prime itself.....Still the same page came up.
If I open the stock browser and go to the "sample" website shown above, the pages display perfectly.
How do I get the program to run from the tablet itself. I am trying to stick with the stock browser, because I don't want to make users install a special browser just to run the program.
Can anyone help?

I am working with a plenty of physical documents in my office and sometimes i have to find a non-physical document (.doc file) related on its document in my Android, so i have just got some ideas, i want to find a way or ask you IS IT POSSIBLE TO FIND A FILE QUICKLY IN MY ANDROID JUST WITH PRINTED QR BARCODE? You could achieve this very thing "maybe not completely" but you can achieve the desired goal with Tasker, I don't have much experience with Tasker but it's the app that will get you the results you want.
