You mean Livesound.
I has same problem but it can use with ibasso D-zero headphone amp but only for listen music.
I found that way by accident

That means no way to use live hifi headset to sony xperia s, Please give technical guys give solution for this .

I posted on sony facebook and admin tell me "Because It use different type of connector"
It's ridiculous

Unfortunately it is impossible without messy hardware modifications.
Sony used to use a headphone plug standard almost nobody used. Special headsets made by Sony would work, but the most popular ones (like iPhone headsets) wouldn't.
With the Xperia S and the other 2012 phones they reversed their decision and switched to the more popular standard. The good thing is you can use all iPhone-things with the Xperia S. Bad news is that older Sony Ericsson headsets don't work anymore.
All regular headphones/earbuds (without any buttons) will work fine however.

You can use the EC250 adapter to use the LiveSound with your Xperia S.

Logitech MetroFi 170vi and Xperia X10 compatible?

Easy question:
can anyone confirm me, that the Logitech MetroFi 170vi (http://www.logitech.com/de-de/speakers-audio/earphones/devices/5651) Headset is compatible to the Xperia X10? Didn't find anything on the internet except for some online-shop compability lists, but I don't really trust them..
No, they are not compatible with the x10...i had bought them too from a webshop and its not working, only compatible with iphone and blackberry says the info on the box..
what a pity thanks, though.

[Q]Jabra Street Bluetooth ?

Hello, guys, I have one question concerning this device :
Jabra Street Bluetooth Handsfree
As long as it's written, it supports the Neo. Yet, has somebody owned and tried it out ? Im planning to get one of these but not sure if that's the best choice . Could you recommend me a brad or even a model of a stereo handset with built it mic, controllers and 3.5 mm jack ( actually with the same specifications like this jabra's product) Thanks a lot !!

wireless keyboard help please please

Ok this is driving me nuts please help, this is what I have
Sony Ericsson arc s
Sony ps3 bluetooth keyboard CECH ZKB1GB
Sony Ericsson livedock
Sony bravia tv connect phone to it via livedock and hdmi
All I wanna do it pair the keyboard up with the phone but all I keep getting is
Paired but not connected what am I doing wrong
Anyone know?
I think the reason why no one replied, is because you are in the wrong section. This is the Xperia S section, and your question is regarding the Arc S, which is a different phone.

Same bloody thing will happen even with the XPS, for some reason these phones do not connect to wireless keyboard or mouse and will get the message paired but not connected all the time. Apparently they will only work via USB/GO system docked via live dock cradle.
I asked Sony support about this and the above was their reply. When I then enquired if Sony Live Dock was compatible with the S, was informed that there was no live dock available for Xperia S, confused or what.

[Q] possible to adjust voltage supplied to 3.5 jack?

I like to listen to music so much. When I bought my SXS with information that the 3.5mm jack changed to CTIA standard, I thought that there would be no extend of compatibility with headphone form other companies. Of course it works with a wide range of headphones but not headset :crying: . Besides enjoying music the SXS need to function as a phone. It's very uncomfortable while I'm listening to music someone calls and I have to unplug my headphone to start answering.
I looked up some topics talk about this matter and could get the conclusion that matter as below:
////quote
The cause of the incompatibility: Sony Xperia S supply 2V (Volts) purely from an energy consumption perspective. The microphone in the boundled Sony Mobile headset is Electret microphones that only require a 2V feed. For other suppliers (e.g. IPhones headsets) they can use MEMS microphones that require a minimum of 2,7V.
In order for fully compatibility, Sony smartphones need to supply a minimum of 2,7V. This requires a feature/HW change

All of us want to enjoy music and answer a call. Do we have no choices in stead of using sony accessories, using other brands products without mic or waiting for sony's coming phone?
I'm not a android programers but I simply think that we can adjust voltage supplied to CPU to make SXS runs with 1.67 MHgz so it is possible to adjust voltage supplied to 3.5 jack. Does anybody tell me i'm true? :crying: and is any developer dealing with the issue?
Thank you all
I don't think so. Get a CTIA headset, simple as that.

Of course I use a CTIA one, but the matter is that I cannot use the mic. Sony use different standard of microphone from the others
i tried every! headphone i have on my xperia P and it works just fine. (beats, apple, sony, philips and panasonic)
did you try cm9 (or 10?)?.
sometime it is just rom related, this was also a problem on the xperia play
i solved it with cm9
Thank you nickknoltus. I will try with cm9 as your recommendation. Are you sure that all headsets work well with xperia? I mean mic is usable for receive coming call and answer.

Sony stock, some Chinese noname crap and an HTC one, don't remember the model but it shipped with lower end phones.
Hi. I'm trying with CM9 rom. At a first look, it's very good. I haven't checked all functions but the headset mic still doesn't work.

Headset /Earphone Irony

I dont know if it should be in General but its a question too mods do move it to right forum if needed.
So here is the thing. I tried to use headset that came with my gf's Xperia X8, immediately it came a message that headset aint supported use another or go to sony mobile's website.
Tried the headset that came with my old Xperia X10.. what do you know... I got the same message... I've MW600 bluetooth headset but skype doesnt working with bluetooth so i just wanted to try with headset.
Now here is the irony part... I tried the headset that came with my Galaxy SII... it worked like a charm. I then tried with one that I bought from china some no brand headset... and it still works... so whats with sony's attitude.... is it coz it was Xperia before they named it just "Sony" ? Is it firmware bug/limitation? or is it just my tablet... the headset are fine it works with both xperias and SG 2. my tab is SGP321.

Since 2012, Sony phones uses a different headphone hack. It is similar to iPhone one, where two pins are inverted. That's the reason.
From Sony's Xperia Tablet Z Troubleshooting Knowledgebase.
"There are different standards for wired portable headsets. Your Xperia™ device supports the newer CTIA standard. Your headset may have a connector type of a different standard, for example OMTP. If your new device came with a headset, try using that. Alternatively, you can buy an adapter to be able to use your headset with your new device."
Amazon.com sells Sony's CTIA to OMTP adapter.
