Nope. The Headphone jack is offset a bit differently, the TF300 has no flash on the rear camera and I also believe the speakers are different. Dimensions are slightly different too. The TF300 is slightly thicker.

damn.
well thanks for saving me some money.

That sir, it does not. So your either supporting a mini touch laptop (with the keyboard dock) or a Star Trek data pad with a rigid case.

Has anyone pre-ordered one these yet? Gumdrop has it up for pre-order now.
http://www.gumdropcases.com/asus-transformer-pad-tf300t.html

I love this case, so I tried. But I don't want to spend 42$ on shipping costs for a case worth 60$.
They better find a European distributor.

I just pre-ordered the Gumdrop . I hope my TF300 lasts in the mean time...

I'm subscribing to this threads in hopes that someone will update once they receive theirs. I'm not fond of pre-ordering things.

"How to make your tablet ugly"
Why does one so much protection for their tablet? Such slim and streamlined device uglified.
I can't image the weight on it lol

That's my concern too.....How heavy is the tablet after the case is put on?

It definately adds some weight to the tablet, but still much much much less than a laptop, and it feels solid and it stood up to its first fall. Needless to say I had one too many stubbed my toe and the tablet went flying out of my hands.... screen first onto marble floor. Not a scratch. You get what you pay for! and im happy I did, even if it isnt cheap.

have anyone dropped their tablet and it survived? also how heavy is it?

It is much heavier. It is also much better protected. I take my tablet off road, camping, mountain biking, etc. and it gets dropped and knocked around all the time. Do you want light and fragile or robust and heavy? FYI, it also fits perfectly into the spring clamp Ram Mount made for 10" tablets.

CaseCrown portfolio case - coming in "1-2 months"

one of my friends has a CaseCrown portfolio case for his Xoom (called the "Standby" i think) and it is awesome. fits snugly with access to all ports and even has a magnetic clip to secure the flap to the case itself. it has a built in stand as well. here it is on amazon http://www.amazon.com/CaseCrown-Standby-Motorola-Model-Black/dp/B004WKT2DU
i love this case so much that i was hoping for a Transformer case to come out, so i emailed customer support at CaseCrown and this is the reply i got:
"We appreciate your interest in CaseCrown
We are currently discussing the Asus EEE Pad Transformer, so it is a possibility!
We can email you a notification if they will be available, however it will not be expected for at least 1-2 months
Otherwise, we can offer a few suggestions on generic sleeves or cases that will fit if you are interested."
i asked for alternatives and if they propose anything different than what's on the "compatible cases" thread i'll post them there. just wanted to let you all know.
They should definitely look into it, considering it's generating more hype than the Xoom.
count me in for one!

OMG this case would be PERFECT!
Share the email address with us. We should ALL email them. The more emails they get the sooner they will make this!
Looks great, just sent them an email at [email protected]
Also suggested that if the do produce a case they look at a way to allow the unit to be docked with the keyboard without the need to remove cover which would be great
The need to hurry up on making one. Looks nice.

got an email yesterday from CaseCrown...here's what they said:
"This email is to inform you that we will have Asus Transformer standby cases in late June.
We can email you again when they are available if you are interested
Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.
Thank you.

CaseCrown Support"
the casecrown cases really are fantastic so it may be worth the wait unless someone else comes out with one thats just as good. i know that the "FolioGuard" case shown in this forum is the one to beat right now, but the biggest caveat there is that it doesnt have the low profile stand ability. so basically i cant put it on my desk and have the low slant angle for typing
Yeah, I can see that being a problem for some.. The FolioGuard guys read these forums with interest though, so I'll wager that the feedback has been received and taken on board
Personally, because I use Thumb Keyboard extensively when using the tablet on its own (in "split mode") - that with a low profile typing position would actually feel "sub-optimal" for me as its best used when gripping the tablet and tapping away with your thumbs
..and then there's always the dock for the real typing shenannigans...
(If only Asus could've licensed the Transformer's transforming noise whenever you docked it... geek-tastic.. *sigh*)
That's great news. Casecrown makes some quality gear. Their Xoom case seems well made and its less than $20 on Amazon.
here's the xoom case...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_X824yeApds
I'll email them later today. It looks just like the official case, but with magnets and (fake) leather instead. I like it a lot.
The case crown looks a lot like this one they're selling on EBay out of China
The bad news is that it's $15 shipping for a total of $27 buy it now.

But someone has already emailed casecrown saying the TF101 case will be out in a few weeks within June to order. Hopefully within under the $20 mark.
This case looks great and it doesn't appear to be too thick like a lot of other cases too.
Hopefully it lives up to expectations as I'm getting tired of keeping my transformer inside due to not having a case.
I just bought a casecrown sleeve that I like quite a bit (other than the turqouise meshy crap on the inside that is a tad too rough to make me feel like it won't scratch my screen!)
Either way if they made a case like that which turned into a stand, I'd definitely purchase it Here's to hopin'!
Looks identical to the case in this thread...

Must be the one from China on Ebay mentioned earlier...even at $28 may be worth a try....
Looks fantastic, can't wait til its out!

Looks nice and under $20. Assuming this is fulfilled by Amazon like their other products, I might have to pick one up.
edit: There's a video in the reviews for the iPad version. Looks great! Tight fit and very thin.
http://www.amazon.com/CaseCrown-App...Y8CR6S3G5&s=electronics&qid=1308957186&sr=1-1
checking out shows $26.56 with tax and shipping.. can this item be fulfilled by amazon at some point? i think i still might jump on this, its still cheaper than most other cases.
Damn, I'm tempted to get this. I've been wanting a good case and I already have a carrying case by case crown. But Roocase's case seems like a better option because its multi angle.
Ill probably pull the trigger on this sometime this week. I just want the thinnest stand case possible. The multi angle is less important to me than being thin and light. Most of the others are bulky and if I wanted something an inch thick that protects the screen I could just just carry the keyboard dock.
The pics on Amazon of the CaseCrown look identical to the case (Jazz) I bought from Steve over at electroniccrap.com..
http://electroniccrap.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=34_36&products_id=51
The flap on the back and the way it tucks, along with the viewing angle and case material seem quite comparable...
I'm happy with the Jazz...fit is good and material is decent, especially given the price point....is rather difficult to type at the given angle...I think I would prefer something with multiple viewing/typing angles and a little better quality material...but again, for the price paid it is a good option...I'm betting the CaseCrown will give similar results...
Ryan...should give you the thin, light case you are looking for...that was my main need and am satisfied from that standpoint...
Is this about the thinnest and lightest we can expect from a fold over case like that?
I'm getting tired of not being able to bring my transformer out due to not having any protection. Stingray, you're making me want this case even more so I hope I'm not disappointed after I order it.
Actually now that I look at it the pictures, it seems like the jazz might even be thinner than the casecrown? It's hard to tell but maybe I'm just seeing things?
Went ahead and pulled the trigger, worth trying for 25.
Finally a case built specifically for the transformer that looks decent! Definitely looking to get this. Can anyone confirm whether or not the tablet docks correctly WITH THE CASE ON?
None of them are built with the case accommodating the dock. It would pretty much require the entire bottom to be cut out.

Has anyone got this shipped yet? It says in stock july 5th?
just thought i'd throw in my 2 cents here. i just bought 10 CaseCrown iPad2 standby cases for upper management at work and they are really nice cases. one of my friend had one and after messing with it, i liked it enough to recommend to the execs. as soon as the case came up on amazon for the TF i ordered one immediately.
i highly recommend CaseCrown.

The dock compatibility has the downside of exposing the bottom to possible dust and impact. Only way I see a case supporting dock to be fully protective when undocked is if it had some kind of detachable bottom for when you need to actually dock, Probably would be good if it was held in by tiny pop-in buttons of sorts and with a as small a presence as possible so it doesn't cause any discomfort in holding the tablet.

Saw a cool case on kickstarter

I plan on getting one for my prime.
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/549918625/wonder-threads-clever-laptop-and-ipad-sleeves
Let us know how it fits. I saw those cases and I thought they were kinda clever, however since they don't appear to stretch I was worried that the TF Prime wouldn't fit in the iPad version since the Prime is a little longer than the iPad.
I wish they made a 10" version for netbooks, because something like that would be perfect for the Prime and its keyboard dock.
I was actually planning to get the 13" laptop model because I have the dock.

I saw that too, but it would be too large to hold the prime snugly and I didn't want a case that was floppy. The TF Prime is only 10.25" long and 7" wide.
I wish that the there was a version for 10" netbooks, or that the Kickstarter page gave size specs for the iPad-sized case. I like the yellow envelope design and I might back if there was a decent chance it would fit my tablet but $35 is too much to risk on something like this, considering there are more reasonably priced alternatives.
Here I did a little of the legwork for you, I messaged the creator of that Kickstarter project. This was here reply:
Hi Jon,
Thanks so much for checking out my project!
My iPad sleeve measures just slightly larger than the iPad itself.
iPad= 9.5" x 7.3" x 0.34"
Sleeve= 9.75" x 7.6 x 0.5".
I'm not exactly sure of the measurements for the Transformer Prime Android... is it: 10.3" x 7.1" x 0.32"? So close, but just a little longer than the iPad, so it wouldn't fit in the sleeve.
If my project happens to be over funded, I MIGHT be able to add a sleeve for the 11" MacBook Air. It would be a little bigger than your tablet, but it would fit. I can let you know if that's going to happen.
Which of the styles do you prefer-- the interoffice envelope or the composition notebook?
Thanks again for contacting me!
Diana

I suggest that if you also want an 11 inch case that would be a reasonable fit for your TF Prime, you also send her a message through Kickstarter and express your interest. I asked for an interoffice envelope style case.

That case is pretty cool! I like that is is made of Tyvek, so more realistically simulates a paper envelope. If the 11" Kickstarter case doesn't get made I may buy one from Thinkgeek.
For me it isn't just about getting a cool case, it is about helping someone launch their product. This is why I love kickstarter, and why I have helped dozens of projects on there so far.

MiniSuit Case For TF and Keyboard

Does anone have the MiniSuit ASUS Transformer Portfolio Stand Case Cover for Keyboard Dock and Tablet?
Mine just arrived today and I am not that thrilled with it. Took 3-4 tries to dock the keyboard with it on. I do often "transform" my tablet so I really need it to be easy to do. Any trick to make it easier?
As much as I go back and forth between the two, I'd love to have one of the new gumdrop cases coming out but it would be even harder to "transform."
I was on the fence and fell off. Dont like the fact that they state leather but read the fine print in the spec sheet says "premium poly-urethane leather" Talk about contradiction, cant be both. Its either leather or its not. Ive never had any luck with such products having any longevity as eventually the plastic WILL break down and become brittle. Leather will keep right on even after years of use, may look worn but its still very much intact.
Im hoping the Tuff Luv cases for the prime with dock become available in the US.
Yeah...I am going to send mine back...just too complicated and really, it doesn't work, especially if I want to take a picture. The flap covers the camera.
Since I have the dock, I am pretty much OK with a durable carrying case to put it in when transporting. Plus is it s shame to cover it up because it looks so darn cool!
I'm yet to receive mine. It wasn't available till the 15th of March and when I contacted them about it after reading a few similar comments to the above, I was advised that the wait was due to a revised version being produced that fixes some of the annoyances of the original batch.
So here's hoping the one I get is a bit cleaner. I'll let you know - its currently in transit - shipped on the 14th of March.

Sikai case...that's what I want!

Have been searching a long time for a slick, non-bulky case for TF201&dock. Today, I found one for the TF101 and am wondering if anyone has seen a similar one for the TF201.
The TF101 version can be found at:
hzhkkj[dot]com/product_show.asp?pid=1579&bigid=2&smallId=735
Would be the nicest case I have seen around!
Yes, I have one and it is very good. already use four days and was really mean something else. just did a search on ebay for sikai and prime and voila...
Edit: i don't use it with the dock... for me the dock is just for extra batery. I prefer a thin case like this without the leather
Just ordered the case, with free shipping from:

So much, I want to order one myself.
Price looks great as well ($31)
Trying to register was a pain to start with.
Once that was done I received a very unclear activation email.

After that, I tried to go back to the website to order my goodies.
But all I get is a page loading error.
Finally I decided to quit .

23 euros and free shipping, seems a great deal !!!
Just got the case today and so far I am happy with it. I like the feel of the case and it does not add much weight since it has been made from a light weight material.
The cut-outs all line up and the quality is good. Just tried taking some photos and there doesn't seem like there is a problem (I know that the cut-out can sometimes affect the flash). What I also like about the case is that I can access the charge port easily.
