Stock EH03 One-Click
What is It?
Right now, all this is is stock EH03, no bootloaders included, packaged up into a Heimdall One-Click package. If people have requests for other ones they want, I am happy to make them as well. I am planning on making one with CWM baked in soon. No bootloaders are included.
Why?
I built it for myself because I'm a linux/mac user. I got tired of having to load up Heimdall, try and find my EH03 package, download the pit, add all the files, etc. every time I fubar'd my dev device, So I built the one-click so I only have to keep track of the .jar, and can use it on any platform.

Shoot me a link to the .tar you want done, and I am happy to do it. You will have to test it though, as I do not have a mes. If you want me to include a kernel with CWM in it as well, link that.
Apparently this made it to some other forum. 1,553 downloads of it, and only 223 views of this thread

This is just is just great work.
Fishman has done some really great work, but has faced some challenges trying to create a Heimdall rom so that others can flash it via a mac client.
He was able to produce an Odin rom, but with limited success with the Heimdall client for mac.
Do you think you could give him some pointers or probably create the file your self so that others can use like myself?

Question: Is the file supposed to be downloading as an HTML file or .jar? Whenever I go to download it, it says it is an HTML file instead of JAVA, which is the reason why it will not open for me. What am I doing wrong? I am running windows7 and would like tofix my Fascinate after 2 FULL DAYS of attempting to fix it. Urgent help would be greatly appreciated.

Rename it to .jar, your web browser didn't process the download correctly.

Is the Fascinate 1-click still available? I see "mako" and "n7000" under your ID in the link, but not i500, fascinate, etc.
So many dead links in the Fascinate section. I'm getting a lot of "not available in your area" trying to unbrick my fascinate.
And none of the ODIN roms I've tried so far get past movinand.bin so I'm ready for something different

EDIT: Here flash these in newest ODIN. Put first file in Pit line. Second in PDA. Make sure Re-partition is checked.

If all goes well after the device reboots it will be STOCK GB. You can build up to 4.2.2 from there.

I have researched this and am getting more confused by the minute. I have installed Bionix Final stock and I am considering going back to ji6. I have read that I must flash the ji6 kernel even though I dont believe that bionix changed the kernel. When and how must this be done? After flashing to ji6? I would most appreciate it if someone could tell me the steps taken to flash just the kernel or if that is even necessary and also if I can just flash through Clockwork to go back to stock ji7 when Froyo is sent OTA. Would it be safer or easier to just use Odin? Any and all replies are most appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks for the reply but I read this thread and still am confused. Sorry I am not as informed or astute as you are. Let me mention I am a complete nubie and am looking for simple steps or instructions or answers. I am continuing to search the threads for more information. Its becoming evident to me that I should never have flashed Bionix Final as it appears that there is not a lot of support or help for nubies who have questions and do not understand some of the procedures or terms.
Bionix fusion is based on ji6. It does not actually use the ji6 kernel. It is using a modified jfd kernel so I would not recommend flashing ji6 kernel over the top of it. If you would like to go back to the stock ji6 I recomend odin back to it. But if you wanted you could use jacs kernel or kings kernel if your not happy. Fusion also came in three flavors stock, jacs, kings.

Thanks so much for the helpful reply. Does Bionix final have the same kernel as the fusion does? I am on Bionix Final. I will use Odin to flash back to ji6. Would I use just the tar and pit or do I have to repartition as well? It seems the swype keyboard I am so fond of will not go into landscape mode nor will any of the other keyboards. I have checked the settings and can find nothing that would affect this situation. That is one of the reasons I am contemplating going back to ji6. thanks again for the help and kindness. any info on my other questions is greatly appreciated.
All the bionix roms are using the modified jfd kernel. Im using bionix final r1 and im not having any problems with swipe. I find it to be the best touchwiz rom out there. If you do want to go back to stock use the 512 pit amd the ji6 tar and you don't have to check the repartition box. But if your like me and flash lots of roms I would check the box to get all the ghosts out of the closets (fix force closer issues).

Hello, I own a Fascinate and I am currently helping a friend with his Vibrant because I bricked his intercept, I don't want to make the same mistake again. I highly recommended to him that he get the vibrant instead of an iPhone 3GS because I honestly think it's a MUCH better device. But now I have a few questions.
I know that you all also use Odin to flash tar files onto the phone but wanted to know what I needed to start with?
I already know how to root the phone and how to get into recovery mode as those two things are similar to the Fascinate, however one thing I noticed is that this phone is basically to a i9000 what a Fascinate is to a Mesmerize. That being the case, there is ALOT more ROMs for the Vibrant than there are for the Fascinate. So I wanted to know a few things.
What is the best vodoo kernel (newest) that isn't overclocked and is at stock voltage?
What is the most popular ROM?
Are the radio/modem files also tar files that you flash through odin or are they zip files you install through recovery?
Should I unlock the phone before or after flashing any of this?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

A good place to get these answer is the stickies in the dev section. The one labled when in Rome is a good jump off point. You'll find supercurios stock voodoo kernels there. He's posted both tar and zip varieties. Most kernels here will be zip flashable. There is an app called sgs kernel flasher that can use both zip and tar.
Best Tom is a matter of opinion but most follow EDT, Eugene and Team Whiskey. I prefer my simply galaxy/honey series but I'm biased.
EDIT: most modems are zip here. KB5 modem seems best right now but other factors play into that such as your location.
Overstock kernels are also good.

Guys, I want to ODIN to Froyo 2.2 because I don't want to use Sam Kies. Earlier, I had ODIN'd to 2.1 Eclair but it is plain boring! Anyway, I found the Stock Froyo files at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1036193 but the OP didn't post the PIT file. I searched the thread and someone asked the same question but in reply, someone else said that you can do a one click install. I can't post in that thread due to my current post count (I am fairly new and noob here) so I had to start a new thread. How do I ODIN to Froyo with a MD5 tar file with no PIT file?

Thank you for your help! I used ROM Manager premium and upgrade to Froyo instead of using Samsung Kies. Now, the whole reason to ROOT my phone was to get rid of the damn LAG!!!!!!! It is driving me crazy. I would LOVE to stay on stock but get rid of LAG somehow. I looked into Voodoo but it messed up my phone before so I don't wana take that route. Any other suggestions? How about OCLF? Would it work on Froyo?
Voodooo rocks clocks! Any custom FROYO ROM will have it. Check in recovery if its enabled or disabled. Good luck!

hope these devices get some XDA love
i want to see some overclocking, and voodoo style kernel.
yes its just a want from a guy who cant do it himself..
Voodoo is more important because of how much it really speeds up the phone and how it handles the core of android.
personally i would love a Snap kernel more (from the HTC EVO) but i doubt it will happen.
i am REALLY enjoying my player 5. it is so much more comfortable to surf, email and play games.
but that usb storage and ext_sdcard really mess with how things install.
there is no way to actually install to the ext_sdcard

I put this together for someone else it worked for him here are the steps.....Give a BIG shout out to creepyncrawly for putting that guide out!!! Make sure you read that guide lots of great info... just follow the steps..... If you have any more questions just post them in this thread.
1. If you flash the 2c. "Odin3 One-Click Downloader Stock I-777 UCKH7 with Root no BL" (This will not trip the flash counter)

2. Then install Mobile Odin Lite free version for XDA members it's at the bottom of the first post "MobileODINLite-v3.30.apk", you DON'T need the "FlashKernel i777 add on" to flash the kernel just Mobile Odin Lite. Once you flash your first ROM this all gets wiped anyways.. (You will need this to flash Entropy512 GB kernel just extract the zImage from the zip file and load it in the kernel slot in Mobile Odin and click flash kernel)

3. Then flash Entropy's 3-7 GB kernel in Mobile Odin to get CWM (Before you flash your first ROM boot in to your new CWM recovery with the power off, hold vol+ vol- and power button till CWM boots and do a Nandroid back up)

Thanks for a very useful post. I have been taking tentative steps towards rooting and your collection of links helped me crystallize what I was reading through all the various posts. One thing I would like to reconfirm is if I use Odin to flash stock/root (as indicated in Step1) and then use CWM to flash AOKP, I should not trigger the counter? Or should I use Odin to still flash AOKP. Got confused there. My S2 still has GB on it.

Your correct flashing stock+root will not trigger the counter.
Cant flash AOKP or any custom ROM for that mattter with ODIN.
All this stuff is listed in the sticky's and guides man. opening a new thread is ridiculous.

Yes you're safe it won't trip the flash counter... Once you use Mobile Odin lite to flash the custom kernel that contains CWM, you can then use CWM to flash any ROM you want and wont trip the flash counter.... I like AOKP but there are many good ROMS in the DEV section just read thru the threads see what problems people might be having etc. Good job on reading keep uP the good work!!! GL if you have any questions you can post them here.
EDIT I updated that post to make it a little easier to understand .... To confirm you will use Step 1 Odin Step 2 & 3 Mobile Odin Step 4. CWM Once your rooted step 1. you wont have CWM yet that's where steps 2 & 3 come in, finally to get to step 4. with out ever tripping the flash counter!!!
