hey guys i just bought the new HTC ONE X THe global version and in my country google play store is not working at all
is there any way to get it work ???
to access us market i mean
something like market enabler (which don't work for google play)

You need Market Enabler and a proxy/vpn in the country you want to fake to do it

Well I used droidVPN(America server) and market enabled(T-Mobile USA), cleared store cache then loaded it and it was US store! Of course you will need to remain connected to it for as long as you want to use market.
Also I suggest activating Google music while using above method, once active it works anywhere

I noticed that most market enabler apps from Play Store was removed. I download the apk from dev here http://code.google.com/p/market-enabler/downloads/list and then I used proxpn free vpn account (mine is premium) and works.
Note: tick the option to install apk from unknow sources on security settings before install the apk

Today, Google announced that Android Market is shutting down and they'll be replacing it with a new service Google Play. The first apk file is available. It still looks the same though.
Requires : Android 2.2 Froyo or higher

No , as in I try launching Market from Espier Launcher after the update , they say "Application is not installed on your phone"
Then upon restart the Market disappears altogether .
I am on Espylon3's CM7 nightly + Dual-booting CM9
I tried manually installing to no avail

Thank you. In my opinion the Play better then Market.
Google Play should be a name for a gaming tablet.
Google Play Store should be an app store.
So, Google's new names suck.

Sorry about late reply, you have probably sorted it out already. But anyway if someone else lands here an reads, then this Play is a different app, it isn't simply an update to the same old market app. So old shortcuts won't work, delete them and make a new one.
Same reason the Market button on the default launcher on some newer (GB) stock Motorola phones doesn't work. Read some articles about it on the internet...

yes, i cant deny this, im also having same problem, but only when i try to update all my app (already installed app), it said 'starting download' and nothing. then i try updating it 1 by 1, and its work..did you have 3.4.7?if you already have this version and the problem not fixed, maybe you can go 'clear cache' of google play in manage application..
Thx for the APK. The new market is super fast now! I replaced Market 2.3.6. I kinda had to shoehorn this APK into my Froyo Bumblebee v2.4 ROM on LG VM670 since it didn't want to sideload properly.
-Use Titanium Backup to Backup your version of Market then uninstall Market 2.3.6
-rename the Google Play APK to vending.apk
-use RootExplorer to mount / as r/w
-copy the new vending.apk to /system/apps
-change permission to rw-r-r--
-reboot phone
The new Google Play APP icon didn't change (could be the Glow Legacy Theme I use with ADW), it stayed the same as the original Market Icon but the new market works.

Quite true I was downloading loads of apps from this app/update market. in MiniCM7 2.1.9
Why you remove compatible chek on Gplay aka Marked ?
How do you think ? User informed not supported app or bypassed this and download looots of **** who is not work (ie HD games on Mini ) or left stuff before download coz they are uncompatible?
I download for example Zinga Poker , yeah its work but its out of screen
Anyway back to stock G-play
And + for the nice try.
PS : Auto update not work like already reported just one by one .

But some stuff does work like steam. So when you have the patch its Downloadable unless like me your on ICS then its bugged still

Yes you need to reboot. Otherwise the system won't recognise the changes. ICS will show the optimizing apps screen after install

i found this on my facebook group, and he just giving credit to LDB, just like mine, so if you might happen to know who did the mod, then i really want to know, to give him proper credit. but if you dont know, im sorry, i cant give you the source i dont know yet

it fixed the compatible check, thats mean, you can download loads of apps, but for our devices, which is in qvga, not all apps will ok when running.
auto updates now working for me, need to update it one by one..
Not working here. Still doesn't appear country restricted apps like Play Music (Google Music).
I'm outside US/Canada and I wish someone can mod Play Store so we (outside) can browse music, books and video stuff.
I can do this but I need to start WiFi hotspot on my laptop, through Hotspot Shield, clear Play Store data, and then access to full market.
Will be possible to mod this restrition?
Here is the newest version of the Google Play Store version 3.5.19. I have no idea what is different about this version. Just load it as you would any other apk and it will replace the older version on your tab, enjoy!

Is this the UK play store as I bought my tablet from the states now in the UK some apps are not compatible i.e Amazon app. To get them to work I’m guessing I need the uk play store or am I wrong....

It's just the latest version in case your phone hasn't automatically updated it, its not a cracked version!
ah ok, cheers, would you know if there is any apps like that for example like installous or cydia on iphone, as my phone wont download apk's for some reason?

Hello, I want to access all the contents Play store offers but because am outside the US I can't. I can't even buy books. Is there any work around abt the play store issue. ? I have tried Market Enabler but its of no use. can anybody suggest a solution.? Am running the latest play store?

There is something called market fix.apk
Download it and set the place u need, then it makes as if the sim network is from US , so market is cheated(just a word) and all download will be allright:thumbup:
