1) give more info. what are you doing? what's not working?
2) read the sticky; this is the dev thread. post questions in Q+A.
Where are all the Moderators man...??? the development section is getting filled with "just" questions...!!!
I answered the same question a month ago and didn't get any answer. In my case the problem is that even with the tablet recognising the dock, the keyboard layout is inmediatly changed to english (instead of spanish, wich is my OS and dock language) and some quick access keys don't even work. Tested in CM9 Kangs.

Search for the QWERTZ_Xoom_DE.zip file in the forum. Its a update.zip and replace the generic keyboard files. Works for my Samsung bt keyboard.

Pro tip: use the REPORT function to get a moderator's attention. Crying wolf ain't gonna help.

Hello every one i am new to this section just recently traded my xperia x10 for a new s3 yay!!
Any way i am used to having 2 key bored sets i realise this is easily done however my standard UK Vodafone s3 does not have a Japanese key bored available is it possible to install one or some thing any advice would be great
I don't want to dive straight in to rooting and flashing this phone just yet but if any one knows of a stock ROM that has a nice key bored with Japanese and English supported that would be great
I did try searching but i could not find any related topics so please any advice would be great.

Why your keys are bored? Nothing on tv or what?
Any way if you're looking for a Japanese keyboard try go keyboard, it's free.

Just search play store for "japanese keyboard" there are a few, I have used easy Japanese keyboard before to play around with.
Edit: you do need to know hiragana and katakana at least to use it, it's not like the MS IME on windows, just thought I would mention that.

I think the best keyboard might be multiling keyboard. You may have a try . It has lots of language inside

Thanks for the advice but i really like the Samsung keyboard so i was really hoping i could add the language to that.
also apologizes for the key bored bit I blame spell checker.
i will download one unless any one knows of a ROM that has one in the Samsung bit or a way to add a language i asume it must be possible as the phone is sold in japan.

I use the official Google Japanese IME, it works well. Othewise, Simeji Keyboard works good aswell.

Yeah, no Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, Persian...
But they have a lot of other languages. The Samsung IME is not bad though.
There is a Japanese language set available for the native Swype keyboard in the S3.
You just have to download it in the settings menu.

Heard about some apps that you can flash individual apps to appear in multi-window. Check the Development thread.
multiwindow requires samsung framework so first you should find a rom which has samsung framework (no AOKP, AOSP or CM) and secondly you should try to get yiur hands on the multiwindow app for the note 10.1. Maybe this could be ported...

Search for floating apps (e.g. floating browser, super video....) in play store it's like multiwindow only better

Yepp, some newer ROMs have atleast a Split-Screen-View implemented.
Not sure if there are 4.2-based ROMs with it, but 4.3-PAC&Omni-Builds should support it.:fingers-crossed:
Sadly Android, or the feature is not yet fully capable of true Multi-Tasking, but I guess this belongs to the System-UI and the button-mapping of those buttons (Back, Home, etc.) the the "selected app". So if you have a Youtube-Video running on one side and click onto the side where for example google play is running (to select an app to install, or whatever), it stops playing the Video in the YT-App, because it isn't "the selected app", while it technically should be capable of still let the video running (not sure, but I think I heard google implemented a feature like "keep running")...

Did you bother looking at Samsung's website? Under support section of your tab.

I had a similar question. As a Noob, 1day old. Is there ever any info or docs on how to use the most recent ROMs or just "test and try"? I have a p7510 with CM10.1 and am unsure how to get started with lots of the basics. I have the ICS doc from Samsung, but th UI etc seem lots differant and not sure how to get started. Hi. I'm swedish and have since the update to Android 11 with OneUI3.1 noticed that no keyboard layout with changes to the non letter keys work. Dvorak, colemak and AZERTY and the like seem to work though.
Has anyone any info on a fix for this? or have you experinced similar issues?.

hi I'm iranian and have similar issues... after updating my Android to 11 with OneUI3.1 my hardware keyboard have same issue you've written about and persian QWERTY layout doesn't work
if you move out, please help me
Hi.. i actually forgot i asked about this here.
On my tablet it was the plugin for anydesk that was the culprit. someone somewhere gave me a tip where in my tablet i could check for what was affecting my keyboard.
i think it is possible to find it via google..
