3. Flash it via fastboot: "fastboot flash system system_prerooted.img"
4. Reboot and it should work

1. Download and unpack the original firmware
2. Download the Flashtool from XDA Fileserver and unpack it
3. Copy it to C:/ and overwrite all your Flashtool files

Ok, I'll add the stock firmware .FTF later
EDIT: It flashes successfully via fastboot on my Xperia S so I don't think anything is wrong
But I can't test it because it wont boot on my XS of course
Does xperia U and P have the same firmware version?

Checked it, it is the same version so I didn't made a mistake
And the prerooted firmware is already on XDA Fileserver

yeah..forgot to mention it came with some free crap apps .....well im unlocking my bootloader now.... it should work rite? i mean nothing should go wrong even if we used xperia play or somthing on flash tools rite?

I don't know if you have seen it but I added a download link for "Flashtool with Xperia U support"
And I'm talking with someone who has an unlocked Xperia U, when he wants to flash it fastboot says "remote download size too large"
Don't know if it will work for you, but it's a pretty weird error since the system partition should be big enough

well im trying to unlock it rite now.... it wont stay on fastboot mode ( volume up + plug usb)...... or is it volume down + usb? volume down was what i used to update the phone via seus....when i press volume up, the light strip turns blue for a second or two, but then goes into charging while shutdown mode.... when i try with volume up it turns green and stays like that...

It needs to turn blue and stay blue with screen off
Did you check in service menu if bootloader unlock is allowed on your device?

maybe a power pproblem....just check and my battery was under 50%....i charge fully and then see and bootloader unlock is allowed...

It means you can't unlock your Xperia S unless you find a way to remove simlock I think.
Btw: is there anyone else that can upload Xperiu U ftf or seus files?

Usage
When booting your phone and when the 'Sony Ericsson' logo appear, press and release continuously the volume down button.
Once you are in the CWM recovery, use the volume keys to navigate upwards / downwards, the 'home' key to select, the 'back' key to go back.
Notes to everyone:
Do NOT use this recovery if you are not in Stock 2.3 firmware.

Ok, trying it. I'm working on the installation, in a spanish forum, of custom roms based on stock kernel in phones with lock bootloader via convert them to recovery files and it's a shame that i need to reinstall recovery every time. Thanks.
IT WORKED Its all good looking with cyan color
for those who r are unable to enter recovery , try this
1. switch off your phone
2. press the power button & quickly start pressing the VOLUME DOWN button untill RECOVERY appears
( i started pressing volume button way before i saw SONY ERICSSON logo )

Problem is new kernel installation. I installed CM7 with this metod and works, but the lack of good kernel for that rom makes it useless

Bootloader locked, installed via conversion to recovery .img file. I know that cm7 NEEDS bl open and custom kernel. Made it for curiosity.

No, U r Wrong Dude........... U can install custom Roms like cm7..etc with CWM (with locked bootloader).. The only thing u cant install with locked bootloader is custom kernels...
I have an x10 mini pro(locked bootloader) with CWM..... Am using custom roms like cm7 and i have installed several Roms via CWM..
SO all we need Now is a CWM compatible ROM

Search in xperia play Forum if its not there its worth Trying....bcz it works on all 2.3 SE phones.....SO give it a Try.. If its not compatible,, Dont worry the phone will boot but u cant enter into CWM.... SO Give it a TRY USE THE "cmd" which is for ARC/Neo/Neo V ....... Not the other one

1) Download the rom and extract the zip package.
2) open up command prompt and type: "fastboot flash system XperiaSspeed.img"
3) the system should flash and you can reboot and use my rom

You can unlock a unlocked bootloader
But when you buy it from a carrier usually is blocked .Here in spain we got the mobile from a carrier almost free, so when you see someone from spain 99% he has a locked bootloader.

See my mom has an Xperia U, she only uses it for calling and texting, she don't even have a Google Acc, but she's always complaining about the battery life (not very surprising since she had a nokia before! ).
Is it worth rooting, and unlocking bootloader just to flash this for better battery?

Please don't rate the threads low because progress is going slow, it's not easy to make a rom in system.img format, it takes a lot of time and I needed to learn some new things to make everything work
If you don't like my work just don't visit my threads and keep your rating for yourself, seeing bad rates can be anti motivating for some people

Hmmm.... Works ok, but when I try to slide to close notifications, the whole status bar force closes and requires a phone restart. Also can't seem to get the phone to appear in USB mode on my pc mtp driver error

Nevermind i have already a nicer one from
Ddccabuslay so thanks to himbut i get bootloop when he send me the file but i fix that by my own, works great on my xperia p buildnr 54 with small apps

restore your old framwork-res.apk then open the apk with winrar click res and swap drawable-hdpi with drawable-hdpi from XDA.AGM framwork-res.apk

Xperia Revelation HD is also for 2011 Xperia devices as side project. This is a Xperia Jelly Bean ( 4.1.2 ) style custom ROM for all 2011 Xperia HDPI devices. IF YOU WANT TO COME ANOTHER ROM ( FOR UNLOCKED AND LOCKED BOOTLOADERS )
Make a backup via CWM and backup your personal data ( app, APN, and etc )
For arc ( LT15i ) and neo ( MT15i ) users, make sure system and data partition increased into 419 MB and 440 MB ( instruction in above )
Download this ROM in download link below and copy into SD Card
for locked BL, make sure CWM installed on your phone
for unlocked BL, flash one of recommended kernel via fastboot
Reboot into CWM
Select Factory Reset/ Wipe data ( wipe data > yes )
Select Mount and storage and Format system ( format system > yes )
Wipe cache partition ( wipe cache partition > yes )
Select Advance and wipe dalvik cache ( wipe dalvik cache > yes )
and then wipe battery stats ( wipe battery stats > yes )
Select install zip from SD card and select my zip 'Xperia Revelation HD.zip' that you downloaded on link below. then, Install it
follow anything option in AROMA
Select Install and wait for 2-3 minutes
after installation completed, untick 'Reboot device' in Aroma and Reboot via CWM
when Setup Guide appeared, Select language 'English ( United States )'
enjoy full version of my ROM and tick unknown source
IF YOU WANT TO UPDATE VIA OTA ( FOR UNLOCKED AND LOCKED BOOTLOADERS )
Backup first
Go to Settings > Advance Settings > System Updates.
Select Available updates and It will shows an new updates and select Update
Wait for 2-3 minutes and It will placed on sdcard/OTA-updater/download/Xperia Revelation HD RV.xxx.zip
Move ROM zip from sdcard/OTA-updater/download into sdcard
Boot into CWM and do a full wipe ( same as procedure in above )
After installation complete, reboot and enjoy my updated ROM

for Neo ( LT15 ) users, download Neo V MT11 .587 ftf above, flash it via flashtool ( system, userdata, and kernel )
after booting, Root using THIS
for Ray, Pro, Arc S, and Neo V users skip this steps

IF YOU WANT TO COME ANOTHER ROM ( FOR UNLOCKED AND LOCKED BOOTLOADERS )
Make a backup via CWM and backup your personal data ( app, APN, and etc )
For arc ( LT15i ) and neo ( MT15i ) users, make sure system and data partition increased into 419 MB and 440 MB ( instruction in above )
Download this ROM in download link below and copy into SD Card
for locked BL, make sure CWM installed on your phone
for unlocked BL, flash one of recommended kernel via fastboot
Reboot into CWM
Select Factory Reset/ Wipe data ( wipe data > yes )
Select Mount and storage and Format system ( format system > yes )
Wipe cache partition ( wipe cache partition > yes )
Select Advance and wipe dalvik cache ( wipe dalvik cache > yes )
and then wipe battery stats ( wipe battery stats > yes )
Select install zip from SD card and select my zip 'Xperia Revelation HD.zip' that you downloaded on link below. then, Install it
follow anything option in AROMA
Select Install and wait for 2-3 minutes
after installation completed, untick 'Reboot device' in Aroma and Reboot via CWM
when Setup Guide appeared, Select language 'English ( United States )'
enjoy full version of my ROM and tick unknown source
IF YOU WANT TO UPDATE VIA OTA ( FOR UNLOCKED AND LOCKED BOOTLOADERS )
Backup first
Go to Settings > Advance Settings > System Updates.
Select Available updates and It will shows an new updates and select Update
Wait for 2-3 minutes and It will placed on sdcard/OTA-updater/download/Xperia Revelation HD RV.xxx.zip
Move ROM zip from sdcard/OTA-updater/download into sdcard
Boot into CWM and do a full wipe ( same as procedure in above )
After installation complete, reboot and enjoy my updated ROM

Wow what a great surprise, your last rom before you discontinued the 2011 devices was awesome,i just flashed back your new one and coming from a 4.1.B.1.13 Ice Cream Sandwich based rom and i can say that your .587 based rom is snappier and more stable...and the battery life seems to be great .Thanks for this great rom

I loved the visuals of Smart Xperia ROM but cause of poor RAM management i couldn't use it. My wish for Revelation HD
1. Better RAM management with Rom doesn't get slower after using some days.
2. In screenshot why total ram is 340MB, Please make it 360MB(like UH HD v4).
3. Good battery life as best u can give us.
4. Dialer is the most used app so i prefer stock one(first and RAM friendly)
5. NXT lockscreen

dude i made neo l patch let me know it is working or not ... k
try this on simple roms like pure xperia, ics berkulium ... system size below 320mb ...

ı have install how to install part but my phone not open why is that no boot amination no start wizard (( whats wrong I dont know and ı have used a lot of rom not first one like your wite instruction brain but in my neo dont do anything just black screen restart and restart do you use this ron in a neo devices please help me
super_script install this patch you will get extra ram more responsiveness ... i made it because this rom feels good suits my usage in short top rom out there need some changes in settings.apk i said before remove setupguide, add cpu control ... provide settings.apk with those changes, i will stick with this rom surely
