Modified Inverted Apps for use With CWM - Transformer TF300T Themes and Apps

Here is a collection of inverted apps that I packaged up in a zip for use with the TF300. Just flash in CWM and thats it, Enjoy!
The main credit goes to travp624 for making such great inverted apps, all I do is just modify the binary/script so it can be used for the TF300.
This will replace your calendar, gmail, and Google play store 3.5.19 so if you want to go back to stock I recommend you copy the originals to some other location.

[Q] Installing just Google Play (Market) without other GApps

Hi All -
I would like to install just Google Play (Market) without the other GApps. I tried a couple of APKs that I found floating around the forums, but none seem to work.
Are there some additional dependencies (like the Google account, for example) which I need to install in order to use Play? I am trying to avoid any Google synch and also don't need GMail, Talk, etc. Installing them just to remove them with Titanium or something seems counter-intuative.
Any help, ideas, or links are greatfully received.
Kind regards,
travis
Just to reply to myself...
I am running either CM 9.1 or 10 M2 on a Nexus S. GApps are not installed.
Feel free to edit the gapps.zip file to remove whatever apks you don't want, before you flash it. Even if you flash it as is, you can always remove the Google apps you don't want.

Thanks for the quick answer!
Are there any dependancies to be aware of (other GApps, something for the Google account so it can be called by Play, etc)? I assume I need to turn off signature verification as well, since the new zip won't be signed, right?

if you need auto update version just include marketupdater.apk

[Q] How do I extract Google Apps (e.g. Play Store)

Hello,
I've seen numerous places where gapps are posted but I am interested where these apps come from. Can I extract them from stock ROM or back them up from the device?
I've successfully compiled and flashed the Android source for my Nexus device, but naturally all Google Apps are missing. Mostly, I am interested in the Play Store. Can I extract it from the stock Nexus ROM? Which files do I need? Again, I don't want to download some gapps.zip, but want to know the procedure myself. (I've tried installing some apps from the apps/ directory in the stock rom, only Maps.apk did work.)
I am new here, thank you!
Hi there and welcome !
If you're rooted you can go to the path:
/system/app
you'll see all of your system apps.
If you want to install play store just DL from the internet like here :
http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/05/14/download-latest-google-play-store-4-1-6/
Open the apk file and install.

GAPPS Package with just the basics?

Is there a way for anyone to create a flash able gapps package that just has the Google Play Store, and the apps that you can't just download later?
Since android automatically restores your apps when you install anyway.
This would prevent us from having to delete browser and/or move maps.apk from system apps so that it can be greenified.
GS4 CarbonROM
I found this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012857
Not so clear as to what's in it, I'll report back.
GS4 CarbonROM
Try out my gapps package, link's in the sig
You can always open the package (just like any zip file) and delete the ".apk" files of those apps you don't want (usually inside the package in system/system/app)

How to stop side loaded app from showing up in Google Play asking for an update

I'm running a Moto X 2013 (XT1053) with 4.4.4 stock rom and currently not rooted. For years I've use the gallery app called QuickPic. This app was recently sold to Cheetah Mobile, and I've decided that I just want to stay with the last version by the original developer and not update this app anymore. I uninstalled QuickPic from my phone, deleted the entry from the Play Store list of apps currently or previously installed, and then side loaded the appropriate apk for the version of QuickPic I'm interested in keeping. When I go into the Play Store, it is still showing QuickPic for update. I didn't think side loaded apps were associated with the Play Store. Can someone clarify or suggest a method to disassociate this app with the store.
Sideloaded apps are if their signature is the same as the one in the Play Store. If you search here in the forums, there are at least a couple of QuickPic 4.5.2 apks (pre-Cheetah) with different signatures you can download, or you can download & install the TBO Updater from Team BlackOut here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2283828 and install the "Dual-Themed QuickPic" from Iced Venti Mocha in the "Main BlackOut Apps" menu.
Alternately, you can use Titanium Backup Pro to break the Market link for the version you have installed.
Excellent - thank you. I'll look for the alternate apk's. I have Ti Backup Pro, but didn't think it worked without root. I'll probably go back to root after doing the 5.1 update.
You would need root, yes. Here's one page you can get the apk from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-quickpic-v4-5-2-classic-version-t3204543
I think there is another but can't find it at the moment.

Install Gapps as non system apps

I want to install the Gapps package as non system (ie user) apps so I can easily remove them whenever I need, instead of using titanium backup to make them user apps one by one and removing them. Is there any way to do this by editing the text files in the zip?
Also can I choose not to remove the cyan apps when gapps are installed?
(I'm posing here bec I'm not yet allowed in developer threads)
You can't. There are system files that are needed via a flash to make atleast the play store and play services work. Use the OpenGapps Pico Package and install all the other gapps from the play store
