Spare Wall Charger - Galaxy Tab 2 Accessories

Not sure if anyone else is looking for a spare wall charger like I was or not, but I found one on eBay that looked the same as the OEM one, and I bought 2 of them so I could have one somewhere else at home, and also have one to carry with me when travelling. If anyone is interested, the seller was accesscables and the item I bought specifically is here. They arrived yesterday and both work for charging. They look like Chinese knock-offs as they have the same information printed on them as the original charger.

I've tested some of not original chargers, all they works fine.
There is 5V 2A output on original samsung charger, but to make charge it must have output from 0,85 to 2 Ampers (and 5 volts, of course).
This one from DX (sku: 48615 with european plug) works just fine, it has 5V 1A.
The ideal is 5V 2A - it make charge faster.

Would this charge fine on an iPhone charger, or a universal car charger?

I am currently using THIS for my mobile and tab ,really light smart

As this may be off topic, but what I did was is I went to walmart and bought http://www.walmart.com/ip/RCA-WPW2UWR-RCA-Wall-Plate-with-2-USB-Charging-Outlets-White/20976676 . Now I just take my charger that came with me as the spare

i am using the HP touchpad charger, i think HP was selling them for 5 dollar shipped
http://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/ho...er-Supplies/FB341AA?HP-TouchPad-Power-Charger
i gives enough juice to charge the GTab
edit (no more free shipping now)

Nice find. When I sold my first gtab I kept the charger just to charge my phone with. Glad I did. Didn't know they were $20.

I use my iPhone & iPad USB chargers. Also a belkin mini surfer protector.

I use an Apple USB charger for travel, works without any problems for me. Only disadvantage is that its charging woth just 1Amper.

Anyone Found A Good Car Charger for Evo 3D?

I been having this problem since I had an EVO 4G I can't find a car charger powerful enough to Charge my EVO/EVO 3D. I've even bought the Sprint Oem which my phone died while using Gps. So any 100% confirmed powerful car charger? Not a charger where your battery only goes up 10% after 20-30 mins of doing nothing on the phone.
I bought a cheap Walmart Wireless one and it charges fine. Maybe I got lucky. You sure your 12 volt is working right?
I highly recommend the "Motorola Vehicle Power Adapter micro-USB Rapid Rate Charger" from amazon, its around $5
It has rapid charge, so it charges at the rate that a wall charger does. I own 2 and they're great!
This is the one I got: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000S5Q9CA
I've had zero problems at all with it, and have used it on up to 2 hour trips with no noticeable loss in battery. I'd say that it charged additionally, as I'm pretty sure it did, but honestly haven't looked that closely to say it without any doubt.
I too use motorola and they seem to charge everything. Even my Garmin Nuvii. Here is the one I bought.
http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Ciga..._12?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1313709066&sr=1-12
I bought some cheap thing at Microcenter that can plug into a wall outlet or cigarette lighter and takes a USB cable. Works good and I can get a good jolt of juice in a 20 minutes car ride or keep the battery from draining while using GPS and playing a podcast.
For me the ATT chargers work great , I lost mine somehow so I order the HTC oem car charger I'll let you know if is good in a couple days when I get it

Palm official charger for pre or pixi. Full charge just as fast as the wall. Been great forever, you can get them online for 5 bucks.

I use a 180 watt inverter and plug the wall adapter into it, no problems....ever
Do not order the htc dual usb one from Amazon, it is a cheaply made copy of the htc oem one it failed after the first day and I ordered two, they both had the same serial number wtf? I ended up returning them and bought the car dock at bestbuy for $50 it also comes with the official dual usb charger that charges way fast and doesn't feel cheap.

I use the charger from the HTC Evo3D Car dock..works great.
I use a Duracell branded unit I got locally at Staples. I'm sure I overpaid ($22), but I needed it for a trip and couldn't wait. Anyway, it works fine for me.
Awesome thanks for the recommendations sound like I can find a lot of good chargers for way cheaper then the one that didn't rapid charge.

Same one I use (along with the car dock) and it charges the phone pretty quickly even while being used. I typically have music playing via bluetooth and navigation running and it still charges it to complete.

what you want to look for is the output of the charger, it's always in super small print though, usually found on the part that plugs into the wall/poweroutlet with like model number stuff on it lol...the home charger's output is 1.0Amps, i have seen a lot of car chargers that are only like .5 Amps. the motorola car charger mentioned previously is .950Amps so it is almost as powerful as the home one, hence why it charges really well. i found a rocketfish branded one at bestbuy that has a usb plug as well on the unit and it's output was 2.0Amps...it cost me like $26.
This is the one I got:
http://www.amazon.com/Retractable-C..._1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1313735695&sr=1-1
Works great. I bought it when I got my Evo 4G, and it works great on my Evo 3D
When looking at car chargers check the specs to make sure it outputs at 1 amp and not 500ma. I had a palm car charger from my pre its 1a and works great. A 500ma charger never charges if im actually using my phone in the car (nav, streaming, etc.)
Use a rocketfish i have never had a problem with it and had it for a bit over a year now works on most of the droid phones

Quality Car Charger for the Prime

This company has had a car charger designed specifically for the Prime.
http://www.caseen.com/ASUS-Transformer-Prime-TF201-Car-Charger-15V-12A_p_217.html
Anyone tried this that can report how well it charges? I have 1amp car charges for my phones and 1.2 doesn't seem like it would make a big difference. I would like to get a 2.1 amp charger made for the ipad as that should work well. I bought a Gtmax brand dual usb car charger on ebay, 1amp port for phones and a 2.1 amp port for tablets. First one I received did nothing on either port. My replacement charges my phone great with the 1amp, but the 2.1aml doesn't charge my Prime and I'm currently waiting on another replacement. Ready to just buy one that I know will work and be done with it....

I hate to break it to you but there was nothing wrong with your charger. the standard usb charger can put anywhere from .001 amps all the way up to 2.5 amps but the standard for usb voltage is 5 volts. that never changes. what asus has done is changed the charger voltage from 5 to 15 volts and that's what is running on there charger. so the aftermarket car charger is only putting out 5 volts and no matter how many times you exchange it you will only get 5 volts out. you need to look for a special charger made for the prime that outputs 15 volts.
Bought this one yesterday:

Will report back as soon as it is delivered.....

There is nothing special about the original cable, it is just a data cable/charge cable. It is the charger that is special. The stock charger is internally shorted to charge [email protected]?2 amps not [email protected] Get a good quality 6 foot data/charge cable from monoprice. The monoprice cables have small ends that fit on almost all cases with smaller USB holes. EBay cables are hit or miss.

Grab your stock charger, install Galaxy Charging Current on your phone and test different cables. You'll see that the stock cable charges much faster. This goes for car chargers too. I have a Samsumg OEM 2 A car charger that I tested with different cables. The difference between the stock cable and even good quality cables is notorious. What really isn't that special is the charger. Even a USB charging port from a laptop can provide more than 500 mA. By the way, you are confusing DC and AC currents.if you are referring to the 500 mA of the USB standard, they are DC too.
That being said, I too wish there was a 3 meter cable that could charge as fast as the Samsung original.

I bought my phone brand new from a local Verizon Corporate store and obviously my phone came with the Galaxy Note 3's standard white Samsung 2.1amp charger and white USB 3.0 charging cable. I needed extras and wanted to order something as close to stock performance and charging speeds that I could get without paying out the a$$ for a couple of real OEM wall chargers and cables from Verizon, so I did a little research and found a couple of good combos off Amazon that matched the same charging rates that the OEM charger/cable combo gives me.
I ordered an Amazon Basics 2.1amp output wall charger, this Amazon Basics 9ft long USB 3.0 cable, this small/low profile PNY 12volt/2.1amp "Rapid Charge" Car Charger, and this 8ft long Mediabridge USB 3.0 "SuperSpeed" Cable.
I tested combos of each cable(OEM White Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Cable, Amazon Basics Cable, and the Mediabridge Cable) with EACH charger(OEM White Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Wall Charger, Amazon Basics 2.1amp Wall Charger, and the PNY 2.1amp Car Charger) using the "Galaxy Charging Current" app and got the same results all across the board with each combo, even the Samsung Charger/Samsung Cable combo. So unless that app spits out skewed numbers on a consistent basis, I believe it's safe to say that as long as you get a decent quality charger that can truly pump out 2.1amps like the OEM Samsung Charger and a decent cable to pair up with whatever charger you purchase, there's no need to spend the big bucks and go OEM....unless you're just one of those kinds of people that HAS to have OEM everything just for the extra peace of mind and to make sure all of their accessories are of the same matching Samsung brand. I see no reason to spend that kind of money when a MUCH cheaper alternative will get the job done just the same, PLUS the "craftsmanship" and quality of the aftermarket chargers/cables I mentioned appears to be outstanding, if not maybe even a little better than the OEM Samsung combo...besides the fact that the fancy OEM cable has the glossy, white, square-shaped plugs at the each end of the cable with the "SAMSUNG" name emblazoned on them and those aftermarket cables gave me a hard time squeezing past the charger cutout on my Spigen Slim Armor Case(some shaving of the plug is necessary in order for them to fit through my Slim Armor charging cutout).
If you're not concerned with all that fanciness, save yourself quite a few bucks and opt for the cheaper alternatives...just do yourself a favor and do your research first...you WON'T be disappointed. :good::good::good:
You got lucky. I've tested about half dozen cables by now and none of them managed to deliver the same current as the stock cable. Out of curiosity, what current did you get? 1800 mA?
Yeah, it's mostly testing with the Galaxy Charging app on whether or not you get the max current or not. I got lucky that my wife's Lumia's data cable is at par with the stock cable and use that for Ingress sessions. I also use the HP Touchpad wall charger as a secondary charger, it gives out 2.1 amps, one of the best chargers around.

I have also tested with various combinations of the OEM sammy cable and charger, AmazonBasics 3' and 9' USB3 cables, a nexus 7 wall charger and an Anker 2.4W car charger. All did very well and charged around 1800mA. My laptop charges it at a little under 500mA.
I also had to shave the AmazonBasics end to fit with my Slim Armor case. I don't get why they made it so large in the first place, its HUGE. Also, the AmazonBasics cord is very thick and stiff, more like cable TV cable.

I'm with you. I've been using that cheap sprint 2amp dual use ac/car charger with the monoprice cables and it charges just as fast as the stock samsung combo.
By the way, ~9 feet (3 meters) is a long ways to charge something.
If you ever notice if you buy one of the cheap cigarette lighter chargers it shows USB charging in the battery properties. This limits it to around 500ma. It must be internally wired to charge at the USB standard. Now buy cigarette Lighter 'fast charger' and it will show AC charging in the battery properties. It must be internally wired to charge at a higher amperage.

In the bottom line, only the samsung original cable can charge with maximum power?
No, just a good quality cable imho. Monoprice 6 footer or similar. Only one thing that bothers me with monoprice cable is the wire tends to pull out of the terminated end if you pull at it too much. What I love about them is the terminated ends are small.

I got mine on ebay for $12, just giving you the amazon link for more info.
I just use a Verizon-branded car charger, and it happens to do fast charging.

S8+: Does it matter what brand you use for a WIRELESS CHARGER?

Should I use the one by Samsung so as not to degrade the battery?
or it doesn't matter at all?
What brands would you recommend?
It doesn't matter. I use 2 official wireless chargers and one 3rd party pleeson brand.
Not one difference.
Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
I don't know, after the latest system update on verizon my 3rd party wireless charger stopped working. Only charges about 20% then stops.
Shouldn't be. But I'm waiting for the new convertible one to be on sale.
No problem with my choetech stand fast wireless charger.
The S8 supports most wireless chargers, but it's best to make sure the charger you pick was made for at least the S7 if you want to get the wireless fast charge function.
The transmitter for the wireless charger also needs to line up with the right spot on your phone or it might not make a proper connection. I had this issue with my S6 where the spot on the phone was lower than the charger, so I had to put something below the phone to line it up with the charger.
Just saw this fast wireless charger deals on Slickdeals! Hope useful for you: https://slickdeals.net/f/10178316-choetech-qi-wireless-charging-stand-for-galaxy-note-5-s8-s7-s6-edge-and-more-16-ac-fsss?src=SiteSearchV2_SearchBarV2Algo1
I snagged the official 2017 wireless charger for a steal at best buy. I showed them an online add from cdw and they took it!!! Only cause it was the last one in stock and they wanted to slang it quick. Lady at the register was surprised I got the deal.
Bought a Tronsmart Chocolate Bar charger. Works just fine, though I plan to move the charger circuit (replacing the microUSB port with a soldered USB cable or even a QC3.0 power brick) into a 3D printed phone stand.
I have a normal diy wireless charging coil. It heard up more than it charges.
I bought a Black Web wireless charger from Walmart originally as a temporary charger until we got in the Samsung one. Honestly not going to bother. It works well enough, no heat and holds the phone at 100% once charged.
I looked around on Amazon and it seems to be identical to several they sell, just different branding.
I'm content at the moment, was only $20.
My Nexus 6 charger worked only at normal speeds. I like the magnet in it so ordered magnets to attempt to modify the Blackweb charger. They aren't necessarily needed, just something I want to attempt.
