7.0 Case with MiFi holder? - Galaxy Tab 2 Accessories

I've seen the cases for the iPad that also have small slot for a portable hotspot device. Has anyone seen something similar for the Tab 2 7.0, or even a generic 7" case that might fit the Tab?

And just for clarification, I'm not talking about cases with "anything" pockets, but the ones with the clear pockets so you can still see MiFi status and stuff. And one that the tablet stays in and opens like a book.

A pocket for a 7" tablet would be huge. To be honest, i havent seen one yet. For now, i bluetooth tether my phone, and leave it in my pocket. Uses way less battey than wifi.
I was looking for. A similar setup when i was using my playbook.

iGadgitz Black EVA Travel Hard Case Cover Sleeve

does anyone have this case? from what I can tell, the tab goes one side, the keyboard dock the other and it's a hard shell carry case.
however, nowhere to put your cables.
does anyone know of a similar case to this but with an pouch as well for cables? I know it's a TF101 case, b ut considering the prime is a small item it will fit this case easy.
I am looking at this case as well as I read about the reviews on the office transleeve having all the problems with the tablet and the lack of availability online. From the pictures on amazon it seems that its quite thin to carry around. I read a review somewhere maybe from it official website saying that this can carry a dock with the transformer so i assume this is okay.
i have this case! it fits very well and you dont even have to take the prime out of the dock. also, it is a hard case, so it protects much better against falls etc.
on amazon germany it was available immediately

Thanks for the info! just a quick question, since the tablet is very thin and so once you put the prime into the case does it get really fat or huge to hold with one hand?

of course its thicker, its not a neoprene sleeve. but thats why it protects well and you can still easily carry it with one hand! i really like it. didnt expect much for the price and was pleasantly surprised!
i also ordered a 10'' netbook case from case logic to compare, but the prime has too much room in it and its more of a thin neoprene, so its just scratch-protection...
I bought this hard case:
eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace
Internal dimensions now that I have it in my hand are:
Case: 26.8cm x 19.1cm x 3-4cm
Prime: 26.3cm x 18.1cm x 2cm
As you can see, it's a pretty close fit in theory. Have to wait 5 days before I get my Prime to confirm it's a good fit.
Alternatives to consider
Hey guys,
just like everyone else, looking for a proper case for my prime
since eventually (in the near future) I plan on getting the Dock, i'm looking for a case/sleeve
- looked at all the cased and couldn't find one I liked
- Finally found a case, but haven't had a chance to try it yet
it's the HP VX403AA / VX404AA it's a mini neoprene sleeve for the HP Mini netbook
- price is 32$ as low as I could find it. pricey but nice
- Has 2 smaller pockets on one side and a big one on the other side
- Plenty of storage to keep the charging cable/charger/micro USB with the tablet wherever you go.
- I'll let you know how it fits as soon as I try it, you can find it in local BestBuy's so if any1 is interested in trying it out before I get to it, by all means post your results.
Thank you,
Rodi

It looks like there is a pocket on the inside of the cover.
I ordered this iGadgitz case. Hope to get it next week. I will post some pictures when I have it.
I have recently purchased the envelope neoprene case by built. They sell several different versions but I bought the 9-10" net book version and the transformer prime with dock attached fits like they were made for each other. It also has a front pocket for your charge cables and charger.

Could you post a link?
This is a great case, my prime and dock lives in it when I'm not using it. It fits snug and feels well protected. There is a mesh Pocket inside which I justuse to keep the screen cloth, but you could easily fit a USB cable in.

[Q] Logitech Tablet Keyboard for Android

I just bought the TFP from TigerDirect 2 weeks ago and it came as part of a bundle that included this bluetooth keyboard and stand from Logitech.
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/keyboards/keyboard/devices/8232
While this does look pretty cool, I am debating opening it or not as I may sell it to put towards the actual keyboard dock from Asus as I really like the one I had on my original Transformer.
Has anyone used this Logitech keyboard and have any opinions or insight into it?
I bought one for $49 and was impressed with it.
Even though I have the TP keyboard dock, I would still use the Logitech for a back up or something to leave in my office.
I picked this up from woot.com like 2 weeks ago for like $25. I just got it yesterday. Woot takes forever to send stuff. I tested it out and it works great. A little hard to get used to the location of the Android shortcut buttons but still a pretty sweet keyboard. I don't use the stand as I use a Mojo case. I do like how the case doubles as a case for the keyboard though.
Only downside I can see is that the power switch for the keyboard is exposed while in the case. So if you throw it in your bag, it has the potential to turn itself on. Oh, and one more downside is that it takes 4 AAA batteries. Doesn't have a built in battery pack.
Still a great item overall.

seems like a nice lightweight keyboard, but personally, i find the dock to have much more utility to it.
however, since it seems to go for so much lower than retail i wouldn't bother selling it, but just buying the dock and having a backup BT keyboard.

Is the dock worth it?

Is it worth the price and extra bulkiness? Im on the fence about spending 150 for a dock when I have a laptop.

I know how you feel and I've asked in a few threads already but essentially I think it'll be up to me so I bought and once I get it I'll know if its worth it. Or in your case it's essentially up to you regardless what others might comment. There are still some left at amazon.com.
There's a thread in Q&A section and in here about docks already. Maybe after reading them it may help you decide.
here

If you want to read or post in other threads just do a search for "dock" and should show you other threads.
Buy it. If you don't think it is worth it, return it.
I use mine quite a bit.

It really does complete the product.....The extra battery life is awesome. It just makes using the tablet so much more efficient.
Bottom line though will be if you like it. I was on the fence too.....now I cant see not having it...something would be missing.
a Must have, i like the abilty to flip from a laptop to a tablet and since it has a USB port on it. its pretty much a complete product.
i dont see my self using my laptop much anymore. and with the added batter it last longer than my laptop to be honest. and i like it because it protects the screen. so i picked the dock over buying a case that i didnt want anyway. it was a win win in my opinion
i to cant see my self not having the dock after using it for a couple days.
I did a quick justification in my head when I saw it in stock at Frys, here are my thoughts:
1.) An external battery will run you $80, and it is tough to find a 12V output external battery
2.) A bluetooth keyboard will run you another $30
3.) A usb and sd card kit for the transformer (2 kits) will run you another $30
So all these things separately already accounts for ~$140
On top of that, the official dock is actually very very nice to use with some custom software pieces (on Asus' rom) that you cannot get if you buy the separate pieces.
The dock is very much worth it.
Extra battery life when traveling. USB Port and a lot of additional functionality in the form of special hardware keys and keyboard shortcuts.
Also, it really doesn't add a lot of bulk or weight to the tablet. The thickest portion of the dock aside from the hinge is just about the same thickness as the thickest part of the tablet. And since the two were designed to be paired together the resulting device is very sleek.
When traveling, the dock becomes the best screen protector that you could ever hope for. It is much more sturdy than most tablet cases and isn't all that much larger, plus the added battery life is practically a must if you plan to use the tablet away from home for extended periods (or want to carry around a charger).
The extra battery life is ideal and worth it. however the tablet clearly last long!
The only reason i think the dock was the best investment i made was because when i use Splashtop to remote to my house, it REALLY feels like im on a laptop. I just turned my TFP into a Laptop. It's amazing
Although the extra battery, USB, and memory card were attractions for me, what really sealed the deal was that the dock turns the Prime into a fully functional machine for business travel. I am always looking for a smaller device (within reason...i.e. not a phone) to use for business travel, and the TP + dock beats the pants off of my MacBook Pro. The flexibility of effortlessly switching between tablet and 'laptop' is wonderful. The ease of whipping it out at the TSA security theater line is great...much better than my big-ole MacBook. In my opinion, the dock turns a great device into an unbelievably awesome device.

This. Extra battery + keyboard + USB slot + extra SD slot + "cover" makes this the reason i got this tab.
The dock has halved the time I spend on my laptop (my only computer at home). The time spent on the laptop is now nearly pure online gaming, except for a handful of tasks I can't perform on the tablet. Bulk- or weight-wise, it's thinner and lighter than the case I had on it before, and visually more appealing than a black leather folio. I'm personally debating whether or not to get a case for the whole shebang, but it's really not necessary. I just shove it all into a sleeve and it's basically done. I rarely use the tablet on its own anymore, although when I do, it's nice to have it perpetually at or above 75% charge from the dock.
It is well worth the money, in my opinion. I use my prime a lot, and the keyboard makes note taking and Web browsing drastically more efficient.

This +9001... You also get alot of moments from people when you dock/undock haha
The dock was the deciding factor for me and its what makes it a Transformer. Otherwise I would have went with the Samsung galaxy.
Personally I think the Transformer Prime is the tablet and the dock. If you are only getting the tablet you're only buying half the product. It's definitely worth it.

Hahah yeah +1 do this. I recently came home from afghanistan and at the airport in Mazar E Sharif there was a bunch of nice locals looking very weird at me when i split the tab and the dock. They wondered if i just broke my laptop lol
I got my dock yesterday from amazon and for the most part I do like it but it does feel like I'm carrying a netbook/laptop. Here are my likes dislikes:
Likes
1. Looks very nice
2. Extra battery/ full usb, physical keyboard
3. Adjust the screen in almost any angle (up to about 135 degrees)
4. Less fingerprint on screen haha
Dislikes
1. Heavier now
2. Feels like I'm carrying/holding netbook/laptop (so 2010)
3. Cant use existing case and if I do get a case itll look so much bulkier
4. Have to undock to play certain games
What I didnt buy the dock for is full USB and Sd card slot. I'm still kinda on the fence about keeping it though.

I never thought I'd buy the dock, but after I got one for my wife's I bought one for mine in about 30 seconds.
IMO, the tablet isn't worth it without the dock.
Word!

This. I have had (and I know what I am about to say makes me seem android crazy, but hey therapy right.......right!): Viewsonic gtab, xoom, galaxy tab 10.1, galaxy tab 8.9, kindle fire, hp touchpad. After buying each of these, immediately invalidating the warranty by rootin' and romin', becoming dissatisfied, selling (for a profit most of the time ) I landed on the tfp. First time I have everything I want. It is complete with the keyboard. It is a great tablet without it, but it is the best with it. Buy it now, before you eat next. Therapy works right!?

Origami case

Do you think that the origami case for the prime will work on the tf300?
I got it and it works as it should.

I read a bunch of posts where people were complaining because it didn't always stay connected. I was going to get it but end up going with another Asus brand sleeve type case, works but a little big since it was for the previous model. I wish they get around to releasing something specifically for this model. O well.
Yes it is a bit loose. But I never think it was made to carry the prime open. It never "jumps" out when you are watching a movie and it stands on a table etc. It protects the screen and can be used in various positions. I recommend it!

Is this the one u were referring to?
i have also heard some people had issues with it coming loose from the "clips" i guess it wouldn't be a huge deal since when do you ever hold the case and just let the tablet 'flop" around...lol
I kinda wanted to get one, but ended up going for a little more protection with the MOKO slim Mulit-Angle case which i love.

something like a shocksock ?

Can someone suggest me a sleeve like a shocksock for those who haven't seen them here is an IPAD one
http://www.amazon.co.uk/APPLE-BLACK...5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1343643878&sr=1-5
or a
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-10-2-...8063&pid=100017&prg=1006&rk=3&#ht_1675wt_1139
I have tried a Belkin sleeve previously but that was too small for my tf201 and all the other recommendations have been for netbooks IE the tablet with the dock which I don't want as I don't carry the dock around with me all the time and the tablet itself is lose in the sleeve without the dock again..not wanted
so any suggestions ?
Cheers
This is what I have been using since I got my prime months ago, lot of space for stuff, fits even with a case on(roocase leather folio case) still feels and looks brand-new. I got mine for 10$

does the prime not flap around inside ?
Hmm not really, it does slightly when it is the only thing in there but for the most part it's a pretty tight fit but the material can stretch to accommodate more items
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
I got one i bought from Blacks, no link but its just the right size. Generally, look for cases for netbooks. Most netbooks are about the same size as the prime. Also check cell phone stores, smaller electronics shops, more of the less mainstream areas. Theres a kiosk in my mall buy sells only tablet stuff. Check out places like this, and ebay. you can find lots of good deals on ebay just make sure "buyer beware", know what your buying
Happy hunting!

I have this sleeve as well and it works perfectly for the Prime.
Since you are looking for a sleeve, Thinkgeek offers this one which should fit the Prime as well based on the size of the sleeve:
