[Q] Nextbook premium 7s installing google apps (google play, etc.) DRIVER ISSUES. - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Okay so I have literally torn the internetz a new one looking for solutions to my problem.
I just bought a Nextbook premium 7s on sale at big lots for $90. Details about the device are on nextbookusa's website (it's the premium 7 resistive).
Any way my problem is that I am trying to install m****t oh sorry play store and every thing else on it. As you may or may not know cheap tablets like this aren't "google certified" and don't come with Gapps installed.
The only thing is, I need to be able to ADB to it and I cant get the drivers to work for it. Every time I try to use Google usb drivers it tells me there is no driver compatible for you device find one for 64bit blah blah. But it is a 64bit as well as 32bit driver.
Im on win7 64bit btw.
So can anyone help me?
If worse comes to worse I'll try adding values to the .inf file inside the google usb folder for the nextbook 7s. I just don't know what values to add.

Bump.
Yeah I even tried screwing with ADB in linux and nothing. I also tried just moving over the .apks that needed to be installed with adb and installing them on the tablet, that of course didn't work.
I just need someone to help me with the drivers.

Bump.
I purchased the same device last weekend... I too tried to load the apks with no success. I got the older Google market app to load but it fails when I launch it and says that I need a Google account on the device.
The manufacturer does not even have firmware up on their website for the device.

Found this while searching for the same thing. Co-worker got one & was asking me how to install apps. Found the hard way about these cheap tablets.

Drivers not compatible?

Sorry to make a whole thread for this, but I don't have enough posts to post in the development section thread.
I'm trying to run S-OFF, and the HTC drivers we're told to first download from the site (the standard lazy panda page, I can't link it because I don't have enough posts..). Don't seem to work for me. The most certainly say "windows" next to the download link, but when I run it, it says, "This driver installer is not supported in this operating system!"
Now I am running windows 8, but I've seen several posts from people running W8 on the S-OFF thread saying that it worked flawlessly for them. I also tried running the installer in both windows 7 and windows xp compatibility mode.
Any ideas?
download the ones in regawmod thread. make sure you install the 64bit drivers if you are running 64bit. I believe the ones in lazy pandas are 32bit drivers.
Well, I gave that a shot. They unfortunately seem to be the exact same drivers, or at least with the exact same file name. Either way, I got the same error with those
And you're right, I am on 64bit. I don't see any place to download different versions of the drivers. Both those pages only give one option.

I keep having the same problem. And everywhere i have looked it the same driver. I might try and download the latest HTC Sync to see if that helps.
I am running Windows 8 64-bit, and found the solution after researching. You need to expand a zip of the HTC drivers, launch device manager, locate the unknown device identified with a question mark that represents your LTEVO, right click on this icon, and manually install the drivers by browsing to the location where you expanded the drivers. Try that!
I believe I followed this exact procedure, although for the One X, works for the LTEVO:

[Q] ADB on Windows 8

I've been unable to install the ADB drivers for the Nook Tablet on Windows 8. I get as far as browsing to the folder which contains the inf file after clicking on Have Disk... and I get a message saying Windows could not find driver software for your device. I've tried on two different computers.
Has anyone had any luck installing the ADB drivers for the NT? I'm running Windows 8 RTM.
question: why would you have windows 8...
whatever
If I am correct I heard you need to disable drivers signature checking by Windows (google it, shouldn't be hard) and then it works like 7.
get you started:

Because many people are allowed to have it for beta testing as well as corporate enterprise testing. It isn't pirated if that is the reason for the why followed by the whatever.
my bad homie, wasn't accusing you of nothing
but my reply did it work?
(Shrug) I didn't post with the problem I was just addressing what seemed like a possible disgust emotion brewing for having pirated software. Just wanted to set the record straight for those not in the know about Win 8's release status.

Hipstreet HS-7DTB26-4GB | Point me in the right direction to root

First I'd like to point out that I found this forum doing searches and came across this post since I do not have the privilege of posting in that area I am reaching out here.
I am trying to root my Hipstreet Titan + (HS-7DTB26-4GB) however none of the usual tools (Tasselhof's Root, 1 Click Root and others) and all of them indicate that my device cannot be found.
This is across 3 computers, Windows 7 32/64bit and Windows 8 32bit.
I've downloaded the Google developer tools and loaded some drivers, while Windows recognizes the device as a ADB /Android Original ADB interface none of these programs connect. I even tried some alternative drivers that make the tablet appear as a Samsung phone to no avail.
In the past I would load files into a memory card, boot the device into the recovery mode and would be able to get the device rooted like that but I am not finding anything at all about this particular tablet, the closest is the original link I've provided.
What should my next course of action be?
Thank you,
SR

2 days later, I'm still not having any luck.
Tried every driver I can find, some are accepted and show the tablet as a ADB device, other do not work.
I cannot be the first to have a tablet that is not picked up by all these tools available - any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] Applying correct driver to misidentified device?

Windows 8.1 Device Manager is misidentifying android USB tether as an MTP device, thus preventing me from even installing the generic "Remote NDIS based Internet Sharing Device" because it only wants to look for compatible MTP drivers, I feel like there is a way to do with this Zadig but I'm not sure how to use it for anything except for the preset devices. I'm attempting to set up my economy VR ghetto rig :silly: , but this is getting in the way of a smooth video connection for Trinus VR, wifi isn't cutting it.
Try uninstalling the driver and installing ADB drivers

First thing i tried, i've done everything you'd probably think of that would solve it, I noticed though that when i go to uninstall the driver, no matter what it doesn't have a checkbox to delete it as it normally would.
I remember having some trouble like that with one of my test phones, but the ADB driver install solved the issue. As I recall, I had to do it manually: Browse my computer for driver software>Let me pick from list>Uncheck Show compatible hardware, and choose one of the alternatives (had a few listed due to several test phones)... I think one of the Google, Inc> Android Composite ADB did the trick. That might depend on the phone. Is there maybe some docs/manual for your phone that could explain how to sort this out?
Let me know if you find a solution. And maybe join the Trinus VR forums to discuss further?
I'm the dev for Trinus VR btw, so any problem and solution that I can find to help users is always welcome to know about

The Google Inc driver is the universal driver, so it should work across most Android platforms and its derivatives.
