Testers Needed - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

Hey guys, I'm in the need for testers for my rooting method, which is called "One Root". I made this method for various devices (but only released one) and decided to make one for the EVO 4G LTE.
What does the app do?
Well it is basically a Windows and Linux program that will root your device in only 30 seconds! Also it will flash a custom recovery for any future needs.
If you would like to be a tester for the 30 second root method, please reply to this thread and I will pm you the program.
Thanks!

would it be an s-off root, or just a regular root
I'll test it if it's s-off, otherwise i really only plan on rooting when an s-off root is found
cheers

I can make s-off with my method for cdma versions. You can be my first tester for s-off.
First I just need the name of the zip the bootloader looks for. For example, my current device searches for "PG76IMG.zip"
Think you can pm me it??

I don't have an EVO 4G lte, if I had one, I wouldn't be asking for testers. Sorry if you took it the wrong way, Idk how to say it another way.
But yea you can test it again and I just realized that you need a goldcard to do this.

nah its not that, it's just i dont really know what each file is doing to the phone, and a lot of it doesnt make sense. like you said to put both the PJ75DIAG.nbh and the zip image, but all the zip image contains is the nbh file. and i have no clue what the gold card is lol
perhaps it would be best to post what each file is doing and post the order of what should be flashed

made a new thread on testing with instructions, hope it helps

[Q] Help!!!!!!

I loaded a 4G recovery on to my 3D. Now when I go to recovery from hboot it freezes on the HTC screen. Does anyone have any suggestions or can anyone point me in the right direction? I have already tried to revert to stock by loading PG86IMG zip file(No Go) and I have tried using ADB. ADB Does not see device.
Which recovery were you trying to install for the beginning?....TWRP?....CWM?....Not sure what u mean by 4G recovery?....also which way did u root?....HTC Method or Revolutionary?....these are important, cause they can point us in the right direction on where to head?

Yeah. I think he may need to use a PG86IMG for the current software version. I have them all here: http://www.scottsroms.com/showthread.php?9-Evo-3D-Untouched-Stock-ROMs-Zip-Format if you need them.

Nope just one....if u wanna revert back to stock use the latest version which is the RUU 2.08.....the last one.....renamed it to PG86IMG.zip and place on the root of Yur SDcard.....which basically is the main section of yur card.....then reboot into the bootloader and it will ask if u want to update.....it mat be VOL-UP for yes.....then just let it run its course....when it asks if u wanna reboot select yes....

hope you get it worked out. it is a scary thing when your phone won't even get into recovery... seems everybody here is taking care of it though. whatever you did, i would try to undo it completely by visiting xhausx's thread to put your phone completely back to stock.
first post was a little confusing, though, not quite following what you did here
Im so proud that there has not been any flames!
Thanks for not flaming!
Agreed on the no flaming, in this one instance. There probably should be a "critical user error" thread that has most common user errors, with solutions, so a search would provide them with the most probable solution in that thread. Just a suggestion.
Try rebooting into bootloader and running an ruu...

Alcatel Pop 4S help rooting/installing custom recovery

Hello XDA Community!
I think this is my first post so yay! That being aside, I've recently bought an Alcatel Pop 4s ( MT6755M processor, 2gb of RAM) and I can't seem to find any guides on the internet nor on xda to root or flash a custom recovery on this device, I can't find any files at all, I've read guides of how to compile TWRP to your device but they all seem to require custom roms so I can't figure it out. I've also tried rooting the device with KingoRoot and pretty much every other one click root app and none of them worked.
I really would appreciate if someone could help me find a guide or a custom recovery/root method that works!
Cheers,
Kamefrede

Hello there welcome to XDA .
Alcatel devices aren't really popular here on XDA unless someone like me or some other dev gets their hands on one. TWRP doesn't require any custom ROMs to build it (technically it does but it's not the flashing kind). If you had root then you could've provided your boot.img and recovery.img and I would've built TWRP for you.
There may be another way to backup your stock firmware in the event you brick in the future you can restore. For now, know that something is being worked on although I don't have this device.
