Did you make it yourself? And how does the case 'holds' the tablet?

looks cool, is it home made ??

Nice work
Really like that, if I can get over my skittishness about defacing books (ex-librarian) I'm going to have a crack at that myself.
Good skills.

Yes, I made it myself. The tablet is held in with hefty duty velcro. I didn't really like this solution, but I was able to position the strips so that even when I take the tablet out, I don't feel the strips on the back when holding it normally.
As an English teacher, I also had a distaste of defacing books, but I managed to assuage this by going to a used book store and thus was safe in the knowledge that the book had lead a good life before I abused it.
After a few says of using it I am liking the case even more. In fact, I almost never take the tablet out (except to show people how it is attached) and I actually prefer holding it like this than naked as I do not fear dropping it.

Posting an additional pic from my phone. Reasons for switching devices should be obvious.

That's awesome!! Do you ever use a dock with it?
I know exactly what book I'd use if I did that for the cover: The Neverending Story. Such a cool cover!

The book is from the Time Life "Old West" Series, specifically "The Railroaders". The entire series of 26 books was covered in bonded leather.

Yeah. Half price books had a bunch of the series selling then individually. I looked at several boos of the right size, and that was the coolest they had.

If your an avid shooter you know the brand Pelican for their bomber gun cases. Well these were seen at the 2012 Shot Show going on right now. Pretty cool but this is all I know right now.
Hmmm.....I was hoping for a Otterbox style case not a hard "Box".
I think that case would make it obvious for thieves to know that you got something expensive in there.

As if having an unprotected tablet, or a tablet in a normal tablet case/cover wouldn't?
A nice hard case is great if you wanna throw your tablet in your back pack with a bunch of heavy text books.

I'll be picking one of these up. I'd like to go through the dimensions to see if it'd fit in the "easel" portion and if the keyboard dock would fit in the "keyboard tray", if so i'll pick up the one designed for the ipad.

interesting, I would get one of these if i was going to war with Asus headquarter

What did you find and end up getting? I am also interested in getting one of these.

Plastic piece for charging port lost!!!

How do I get another one of those plastic plug things for my prime to use for the charging port? I've had my prime for 3 days and lost it already :-(

If you mean the thing that you're supposed to take out and then leave in the box forever and forget about, then I don't think you'll ever get another one.
I still have mine and use it to keep particles away. Protecting the charging port is a good thing and imo doesn't hurt the look either. I actually have 3 from returning my previous Primes. Having that added protection is nice.

I have had issues in the past with devices getting the charging port fudged up like bent or broken and honestly when I saw the prime had I thought it was brilliant! Haha. Well if you left yours in the box and don't need it can I have it?
Seriously though. This is a real concern of mine. I think the dog ate it. LOL.

Lol, sir really? Why, do you think that thing is gonna safe your prime when you drop it? LOL.
USB port rubber plug
To be honest, I don't share your concerns and don't really intend to use mine so, if you are interested, PM me your mailing address and I'll send you mine.
Lol did this really warrant a whole thread? btw, Sugru would probably be a good solution to your problem. you can make new plugs whenever you want. Its a moldable silicon that drys at room temperature. Check it out!

DIY Nook Tablet Case / Disguise - REDUX!

If you happened to see the first nook tablet case / disguise I made, it was great at looking "dressed down", but less suitable for a more upscale or professional atmosphere (i.e. job interview, lol)
If you didn't see it, check it out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1488267]
This one is at home in more dignified locales. And, there's just something about holding a real book that feels... natural.

Yep. One guy told my folks they "must not care about their child's future'" when they declined to purchase. Lol.
Now, they can be had at the local goodwill for $0.50 each, or three for a dollar.

Another work of art!
On a side note...I got suckered into the door to door encyclopedia sales...Cost me a total of like $890 bucks. But it was a lot more than just a set of books. I was basically a complete "homeschooling kit".
Wow, cool! you're genius!
The first Pink is very beautiful!

It was the right thickness. The original plan was to use the foam insert from the nook packaging. That didn't work out, wasn't secure enough, and couldn't access any buttons/ports, hence, the "broccoli bands".

X-acto knife, it took a few blades, they get dull pretty quick cutting paper. I don't like posting links outside of the forum, but, if you google "hollow out a book in 80 easy steps" the first result is the guide I used.

I love it, but there's something painfully ironic about ripping out the guts of a book to hold an e-reading device. XD

Running / General Excercise

What do you guys use to carry your DNA when running or otherwise working-out? A few Google searches turned up some cheap generic armbands, but that's about it. I'm curious to see what you folks are using.
Thanks
I use the holster/shell combo that Verizon sold. Can't even feel it when running since its on my waistband. Coupled with my Bluetooth headphones its really non intrusive

Running I hold it.
Just about anything else I put in in my pocket.

I think I would prefer something on the arm, but this waistbelt gets a lot of praise from runners. Very different than a fanny pack, so no jokes lol.

Shorts pocket. I just get basketball shorts that have deep enough pockets. Never had a problem, I run 15+ miles a week.

Thanks for the pics and suggestion. It looks almost too big. Is it comfortable?
To those that suggested pants pockets, I have tried that too, but it often pulls the headphones out of my ears.

I'd say so. The DNA is pretty thin and light, it doesn't feel cumbersome.

[REVIEW] Wawo Case Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 SM-P9000

Just bought this case for the Note Pro, I really like it. It may be on a sale now but it was just $13 which seems like a really good deal.
The case is faux leather with micro-suede interior. The pockets on the inside are mainly useless but otherwise I really like the case. Images are below.

When folded it makes a great stand and it stays put while typing.

I'm waiting for mine to come in it cost me about the same with shipping.
I feel like I literally have the exact same case, except it's made by Aerb:

I paid 5.88 for it, although it is up to 8.99 now. And I'm loving it. I mean seriously. Look at the pictures. They are identical...
Just order it yesterday. Thanks for the feedback. I just got it for the cheap price and I am trying to save to get the logitech pro case because this beast needs a keyboard

If on a flat surface, if you have it in the folded position, it is front heavy and does not work. You can open the case and sit it vertically like the attached photo.

The problem with these cases is that they feel really, really cheap. That mars the experience of having a nice tablet.
