Working reverse tether....use your home PC's internet connection for ur galaxy y.
you can use usb cable for the connection.
STEPS:
1.download the files to corresponding devices.( PC to computer and apk to phone)
2.Extract the pc component.
3.Install the apk file.
4.Ensure the usb Debugging is on.
5.connect the phone via USB
6.open the 'android tool' from the pc component.
7.USB tunnel app will open on its own.
8.now select the device and click connect.
9.Now you can enjoy the superfast broadband on yor mobile.
NOTE: tested and working.
been working on it for the past 5 to 6 hrs and had no problem till now.

Give the creator the credits.. capslock66 And using this u cant download any apps from market! There is only one way to download apps from market using this and that method only I know (I founded that method)

as i told you this one is to use your home PC's internet connection in your galaxy y via the USB cable.
1.the connection is fast
2. you dont have to empty the capped data plan in you mobilre device.

i used this app on galaxy mini but i was unable to download any thing from market and stock browser and some of the apps using internet also showed error that no internet connection...

this one is for galaxy y,
might work on mini too. think you messed up with settings.
1.uninstall
2.clear cache
3.reboot
4.install again

if you are planning to download something from the market
try to enable first the 3g connection then use the reverse tether internet connection

Of this I understand that I can not install ROM But the Program ActiveSync 4.5 Working on Bluetooth
This was difficult to install via Bluetooth Rum Is there a better way to install the ROM, for example, memory card, as I know there is this way because almost PINS usb problem ..
1) download pre8 version here:

2) start the app the first time to create config files
3) than run:
/data/data/android.tether/bin/tether start 1
4) now open wifi tether app and check logs

there's a bug in the gui as always
you must run that command from terminal with root user

Wifi Tether allows use your phone as a router (modem).
Wifi Tether uses the 3G connection, and translates into wifi signal.

Same here, I tried connecting through a netbook and a iPod Touch, both of them see and connect to the phone, but are unable to use internet.

I am using Modaco R2. for HTC tattoo.
I installed wireless_tether_2_0-pre10.apk.
My laptop able to connect to Tattoo & give Ip address.
I tried to browse webpage... but it unable to go into internet.
BUT both, Tattoo & laptop showed that they are connected together!!!
Tattoo's access control even show my laptop's name correctly!
Using laptop command prompt, I tried to ping Default Gateway (192.169.2.100)
It showed 100% data LOST!!!.
What happen???

I have an HTC Tattoo and want to do wifi Tethering. My phone is not rooted yet and i cannot find instructions to do this (most of the instructions are for adding new roms). I do not want to add a new rom, i just want to tether my 3G connection by turning my phone into a wifi hub.

Wifi Tethering start successfully, but when i try to connect to the network, Tattoo don't assign the ip to the PC and the connection failed.
Wich ip i've to use for gateway and dns? Wich subnet mask?

I try to run without root access but not work.
Later on I root my Tatto and app start working with 1.6
Now not have WiFi card to try but when i get one i infform you about res.
I can't get my phone to connect to my computer via bluetooth. The phone discovered my computer, and vice versa, but I can't get the two to connect. Any suggestions?

wat software are u using to connect ??? on which os WIndows/LInux ...IF windows u cud try bluesoleil suite for bluetooth..It works with many many dongles and might work with yours too..USing it i can connect Phone with PC and exchange files using OBEX FTP and also access internet over bluetooth using DUN

I'm on a Mac. I didn't know that you needed software on the computer to make the connection. I'll be able to figure it out from here..

Bro I just plugged my phone into my PC and my PC download the drivers needed.. recognized phone and bam. Go into computer and find your device. If you double click on it it should bring up your SD card.. From there I just drag and drop files.

Just like a USB stick. I connect to PC and it pops up. Maybe because I.have development option ticked but don't think it's that. Just download the latest version of kies for the drivers.

MTP/Kies really suck. My main pc is running Linux so that's a no-go with MTP. I installed Kies on my work pc as it runs Win 7. All SGS 3 drivers are installed as well. For the first few days it was working but now the phone isn't recognised anymore. Either the phone does not show at all on the pc, or it shows but the internal and external SD cards are not showing.
Saw on Samsung's website that there's a Kies version for Mac available so I installed that on my wife's macbook pro. When plugging the phone in the "connecting" message keeps running but the phone never connects. I thought it was because I'm not using the original USB cable, but using that won't work either.
So looking forward to a custom rom that has USB mass storage included. Until then I'm using the WiFi File Transfer Pro and/or Samba Sharing apps.

Just make sure you are on the same network as your PC and run the app.
It will start a server and the URL will be displayed on your device.
Enter this URL in your browser on the PC and you are ready to go

How can I copy file to /data directory?
I use Cyberduck on my Mac to connect to the SGS III by SSH, I have an app called SSHDroidPro on my phone. So easy to use. I can browse the entire filesystem of the phone wirelessly and file transfer is pretty fast and totally painless. MUCH better than Kies Air IMO.

there are two options.
1. Wi-Fi tethering (Pc to phone)
- Download virtual router or similar apps (free), on your Pc, use the app to create Wi-Fi network. Your phone will see and connect to the network
2. Reverse USB tethering
- Download Reverse tether (paid, free trial) from playstore, run the app and follow the instructions
