Sensation or rezound+ will rezound work in the UK - HTC Rezound

Hey everybody. Might be getting this phone in a trade for my sensation and $150. Do you think that the rezound is worth switching over to and also I'm hearing that they aren't sold in the UK so do you guys think that it will work here or not?

As long as o2 uses the 2100mhz band for 3G/hspa u should've good. If it doesn't... Well the rezound won't work for your carrier

It's hard to say at this time... But there should probably be announced an international version in the future...

Possibly once at&t's 6 month exclusive is overwith.
You can already use it without a contract in wifi-only mode, but the device costs $850.

Phone recomendation

Looking for a android phone GSM to run on T mobile for about $250 or less. 3g okay 4g not necessary. Tired of trying to figure out what is the best phone to buy, so what do you guys think?
Thanks for the recommendations.

That price range - unlocked or subsidized? Subsidized, just get SGS2. Otherwise, maybe a Nexus S would be about that much.
I should specify. Looking for a unlocked device. Used is okay. No contract.

Weird TMobile pricing

I was looking at tmo website today and noticed that Amaze is cheaper than mytouch 4g slide. Look at the image attached. Wth? I have both the phones and as you know amaze is way better that mytouch 4g slide. Do you think this is just a mistake on tmo part or are they really trying to get rid of amaze?
Probably just trying to clear out their stock of the amaze before the one series drops

Thats what I thought but aren't they trying to clear out mt4gs as well? MT4GS might not even get ICS. Very weird IMO.
Anything the Sensation gets the MT4GS can get too by porting.
Chuck Norris can but Walker Texas Ranger can't.

Yep turns out the sales for the Amaze were pretty horrid compared to what they were expecting. Another reason why T-Mobile and HTC carry so few accessories. Not to mention all the returns from bleeding and other issues. They probably lost a crapton of money on this model =(
UPDATE: Amaze is now free with a new 2 yr contract. Mytouch 4g is at $100 and mytouch 4g slide at $200.

Htc amaze made in china

Hi brothers at xda,
I've got a htc amaze with android 2.3.4. Was checking the phone and found that its made in china. The phone is from tmobile. Someone please guide whether htc amaze from tmobile made in china is original or not? Also wanted to know if htc amaze and htc amaze 4g are two different phones?

The Ruby was manufactured in China by HTC for T-Mobile USA, who markets it as the Amaze or the Amaze 4G (just one device, sometimes the 4G appellation is ignored.)

HTC is a Taiwanese company, of course it's made in China. Taiwan is part of China according to China and most of the world, but not America. Just because it's made in China doesn't mean it's not real, it's a great quality phone.

Well actually the Asian Amazes need S-Off since the firmware is different. So saying the difference is only Carriers is a bit inaccurate.

yes, but I found that when I had my HD2's the ones made in Taiwan were much more reliable than the ones made in China.

In general I found the same as you stated. But electronics made in China have indeed improved a lot than a few years ago. I still prefer Japan > Korea=Taiwan > China if given a choice, though.
Actually that was my dilemma when I had to choose between Amaze and One S. The T-Mobile One S was made in Taiwan with S4(much better CPU) while the Amaze(all made in China) has a better front camera, SD card, removable battery, and a supposedly better display(if you prefer LCD over AMOLED, this is subjective, though...) but a power hungry and slower S3... I've had the Amaze for 14 months but not sure if I made the right decision or not...
In summary, yes. HTC Amaze is made in China like most of the cell phones today. Even Samsung switched from made in Korea (Behold 2) to made in China. (TMO versions of S3 and S4)
UPDATE: I found my current HTC Amaze is made in Taiwan. What happened was that my original Amaze had a problem with dusts in the front camera. It was so bad that the image from the video camera gets quite fuzzy. Since it was still under warranty, I sent it to HTC service center for repair (cost me $10 via USPS). HTC support told me that would repair but not replace my phone. But in fact they replaced it with a new phone made in Taiwan. I only found out when my unlock code failed to work and then I saw in the back the phone is now made in Taiwan with different a serial number and IMEI.

Just do a little reading on the ROM you're interested in, beforehand. Some can get a little wonky when it comes to AT&T icons, at least.
