[GUIDE]Playing Java games on SGY - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 Themes and Apps

A lot of people probably (like me) have always wanted to be able to play again their good old Java games that they used to play on their past phones. On my LG KP500 I used to play lots of touchscreen games which don't seem to be available for Android today. And as you all know, Android OS can't just open a jar file when you tap on it. So in this guide we will make our SGY play Java games.
So let's start off by downloading Jbed.zip - Click here. and put it somewhere in your SD card.
After that, put CWM.zip (ClockWorkMod Recovery) also on your SD card. - Click here to download CWM
Now boot into Recovery by holding Volume up + Home button + Power button.
Please note that in Recovery mode you can only use Volume up for up, Volume down for down, and Home button for selection.
Once you are there, select "apply update from sd card".
Look for CWM.zip and press Home button after you have selected it. You will now boot into CWM Recovery.
After you are there, go to "install zip from sd" then select the first option and it will let you browse your SD card.
Look for Jbed.zip wherever you have put it, and press the Home button to apply. It will then ask you if you are sure, choose Yes.
After installation, it should say "Install from sdcard complete". When you see that, press the back button and then choose Reboot phone.
After you have turned on your SGY, look in the menu for the app called "Java", the icon should be a cup.
How to install and play them:
Now once after you have installed Jbed, download your desired java games on your SD card, then run the Java app which I've mentioned above and press the options button on your SGY, then press "SD card".
After that wait a while and it will start looking for the jar files, it will detect them and list them, then you choose which one to install:

"lightbox_download": "Download",

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
After that it will ask you in which directory, I just chosed SD Card. So choose that, click OK if it tells you that the game is untrusted (with your responsibility) and wait for it to install.
Then go to the folder SD Card and you will see the game. Start it and play!
I'm sorry if this has already been posted in the past, probably in other boards for different models so I thought I'd have one here. Mods may delete if such thread already exists in SGY boards, I'm really sorry just trying to help.
Also if you have already seen this in GalaxyYarchive blog, I'm the one that posted, just want to clear my name.

Searching I found a way to run flash games on our mobile ok: on HD2)
Download and install in the memory of the device this:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0GWT814X
We download the game's pack that we want.
We put the swf game in the memory card and with Resco Explorer associate the swf to the program that was previously installed: Archivos de programa/adobe/Flashlite/appzone.exe
Done, now we can play, choose your favorite program to rotate the screen and enjoy it!

I have just installed LMT, and it seems to be working fine as I can open Task Manager by drawing an L
But I can't manage to launch its vPad, whats the exact gesture to open it (and does it requires any setting) ?

you just draw a square and the dpad shows in your screen in portrait mode. ou push the R and this comes to landscape and vice versa
just to ask, have you tried it in flash games ? are you satisfied ?

1) you save the .swf file to your phone.
2) you open the folder that contains the swf file with resco file explorer
3) you click continusly in the swf file until the sub menu show in the screen. then choose OPEN--->OPEN WITH
4) then click browse and choose there the program from the folder "program files/adobe/Flashlite/appzone.exe". then you are ready
5) now every swf file that you open in resco explorer will play automatically.
Thanks tonyk for your answer
It took me some time to find out how to draw that square... you have to start with top left corner, then go right...
Now I have just checked quickly with a few games to see that it works, I need to play more with different games to be able to say if it's a satisfying solution...
I'll post some feedback later on.
I also wanna add, for those who don't have Resco Explorer, they can use Total Commander to associate files:
long click on file -> Properties -> Associate tab -> browse to Appzone.exe -> OK

Nice to hear that LMTs controller is working with the flash lite player. I only tested LMTs controller with FPSEce and morphgear. If you find any problems regarding LMTs controller, feel free to post them in the LMT thread and I'll try to fix them...
well, tested it on X1 with WM6.1
It works........ but badly enough not full screen as seen on the screenshot in post 1...
It's a bit too small to play nicely on the X1 in my opinion...
(Also with penalty shootout it's rather impossible to aim in the corners...)
Cheers,
Arnold

Can someone please help a noob out?

Now that I have a gs2 I really don't know what to do with android. Can someone please just post 3 to 5 things I should do with my phone to best improve my experience and Instructions on how to do them? That would be rally helpful as I do know my way around phones but I'm completely clueless when it comes to rooting and development
I don't to come off rude, but please search before starting a thread like this.

I was new to Android too with this phone about a month ago.. I would suggest playing around with it first, figuring out how you like your widgets laid out, what your settings for all your apps should be, etc, before you consider rooting/flashing.. Initially the battery may seem weak, but give it time to stabilize (and also your usage will go down once the newness wears out).. Through various posts you will figure out what apps are good, which ones drain your battery, and which ROM fits your need.. I'm on unnamed ROM and love it.. Let me know if I can help with anything in specific!

Check out the terms and acronyms link in my signature, so you have some basic level of understanding the terminology in the posts.
Look for some apps that interest you in the Android Market, just to start getting a feel for all the things your phone can do with applications...
Decide where to start - such as getting apps that need root level permissions (like Titanium Backup), and how to root on your phone. Or do you want to customize how your phone looks? See what you have available on your phone first, see what you like (or what annoys you!) and then how to change it. Basically get some starting goals.
Start looking up applicable posts, such as how to flash a custom ROM using Odin, customizations such as ADW.Launcher, etc. Be prepared for a lot of reading, and following instructions to the letter!
...(?)
Profit!
Seriously though, the phone has a huge amount of potential ... you have to figure out what you want to do. Chances are someone has posted a guide to do it (or someone helpful will reply) -- but it's up to you to decide what you want.
Your best bet is to read...a lot. Start here and here. And if you have questions about things, I suggest asking via IRC. People get pissed when the forum gets cluttered up. Best of luck to you.

Ok. here is the easy way to start your i777 SGS2 adventure
If you plan on flashing a custom rom you will not need to root your phone because all of the custom
roms here in XDA forums are pre-rooted.
Here is the best and easiest way to flash/install a custom rom and backup your original stock rom.
First you need to install the Samsung USB drivers into windows.
(Be sure to use the original Samsung USB cable for trouble-free operation)
Here is the link for the Samsung Unified USB Driver: http://api.viglink.com/api/click?for...13196871580881
After installing the usb driver above restart windows.
Now is a good time to download a custom rom of your choice, there are about 5 or 6 you can choose from.
I would suggest to download the "UnNamed" custom rom which can be found here: update-unnamed-v1.1.0-full.zip
It is currently the best and most reliable full featured custom rom you can find for our i777 phone.
After you have downloaded a custom rom you need to copy it to your phone's internal sdcard.
To copy the rom zipfile to your phone you need to go into the settings of the phone:
settings>applications>development>usb debugging and make sure that the "USB debugging" is disabled.
Connect the usb cable from computer to the phone and open "Computer" from the start menu in windows &
there you will find a "SGH-I777" drive icon.
Open it and you will see 2 icons, PHONE and CARD, copy the custom rom zipfile you downloaded into the
PHONE drive. (you will only see CARD if you have an external micro sdcard in the phone)
Now you need to download these two files below.
SGH-I777_ClockworkMod-Recovery_5.0.2.3.tar kernel: http://www.multiupload.com/QQKN7NJAFT
Odin3_v1.83.exe Windows Executable: http://hotfile.com/get/116095613/4ea...din3_v1.83.exe
Copy both of these files into a new folder on your desktop.
Open Odin3 in your new folder & select the PDA button & select the "SGH-I777_ClockworkMod-Recovery_5.0.2.3.tar" file.
Once this is done press the volume up & volume down buttons at the same time & hold them pressed
until you plug the usb cable from computer to the phone & you see the triangle on the phone's screen
and the "COM:XX" box in Odin3 light up yellow.
Then click the START button in Odin3 to start the kernel flash.
After successfully flashing you will see the blue CWM Recovery menu of options.
Select "Reboot System" from the menu.
After the phone reboots go back to settings and enable the usb debugging & power down the phone.
Now press & hold both volume buttons & press and hold the power button at the same time until you
see the SAMSUNG text on screen then let go of power button first then let go of the volume buttons.
Wait for the blue CWM menu then select "backup/recovery" then select "backup".
The phone will start backing up your stock rom at this point.
Once it gets done backing up your stock rom you can flash the custom rom.
To flash your custom rom select "Wipe data/Factory reset" from the menu.
Then select "Install zip from sdcard" & select the custom rom zipfile which
you have copied to your phone.
Once it gets done flashing & installing select "reboot system".
Using the blue clockworkmod recovery menu:
HOME softkey = selects.
BACK softkey = go back.
Volume Up/Volume Down = scroll up & down.
Now you are ready to use the phone. (at last!!!)

Remember if a NOOB can understand this then ANYONE can! - (that means you!)
Read, read, and re-read. Everyone was a noob at one time or another. +1 to this site, so much support. Have a problem, do a search first. Chances are you're not the first with the issue.

[MOD]130+ Lockrings For XHDPI Devices

Here is a collection of 130+ lockrings I made for myself for AOSP/CM based ROMs.
If you would like a lockring made just ask and I'll definitely see what I can do for you.
Install
Fast way (sorta unstable):
1. Download Metamorph from the Play Store.
2. Select "Unzip/Extract new theme".
3. Go to folder where you downloaded the lockring zip and select the lockring you want to use.
4. There will be a popup that has the info for the lockring. Press "Close".
5. Press where it says "SubTheme: framework-res.apk".
6. There will be a popup telling you what files will be changed. Press "Apply it!".
7. There will be a popup saying what you will be modifying. Press "Continue?".
8. The phone will do a quick reboot and the lockring will be applied.
Note: The device will do a quick reboot on its own. Sometimes you will get an error in other languages or saying some stuff that makes zero sense. Just press the button next to it and the phone will restart. Sometimes you will not be able to press anything. If that happends dont worry just restart your phone any way you can. The lockring will be applied after it reboots. This is how I apply the lockrings and I havent had any issues other than what I said. Most of the time the phone just reboots real quick and everything is good, but there are some times when I have to manually reboot it.
Slow but stable way:
1. Download ZipThemer from the Play Store.
2. There will be a popup about "Edify Scripting". Press "OK".
3. Open Menu. Select "Update Edify".
4. Where it says "Select flashable file:" press "Browse...".
5. Go to where you have THE ROM YOU ARE USING AND SELECT ITS ZIP FILE. (example: storage/sdcard1/YOURROM.zip)
6. Press "Configure".
7. Back out of that menu.
8. Press "+Theme".
9. Go to the folder where you downloaded the lockring zip and select the lockring you want to use.
10. Press "Build It!".
11. There will be a popup asking if you want to "Create Undo File?". You make that decision.
12. It will now build you a flashable zip file for your lockring and tell you where the lockring and undo file is created.
13. Boot into recovery and go to where it told you the lockring was located and flash like any other zip.
Note: I recommend wiping Dalvik and Cache before flashing. If anything funny happends flash the undo zip. Also, after you have used the program once you do not have to keep doing steps 1-7 you can just start at step 8.
Note: Some of the images might be a difficult to see because they are all white. Try highlighting them with your mouse or saving them to your phone and view them in the gallery if you want to see them better.
Downloads
Lockrings Folder - Individual links
All Lockrings - Zip with all lockrings inside
Note: If you download the zip with all the lockrings in it, make a folder on the root of your sd card called "Lockrings" and then extract all the lockring zips into that folder so its easier to find them.
A smaller preview of the images are in the nexts posts. All images in the downloads are sized for XHDPI devices.
Enjoy guys

What do you think about this project?
Looks pretty cool
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Well..Downloading it for almost a half hour..the speed is low
Don't know if I should flash it through recovery or odin like the instructions said.
Looks like an uglier version of MIUI ^^
It flashes just fine through cwm. Runs great if a little slow. The animations when opening and closing apps are nice.
Before you flash however be sure to set your sim pin lock as off in the settings of your current ROM. As once you boot in to smartisan it will not ask you for a pin and you will have no phone connection and you sim will remain locked .
I like this ROM but there appears to be no way to change wall paper on home screen and it also appears not to be compatible with widgets.

need to tap 2-3 times before going back/close apps, when calling it said "not sent"

chinese and english. Rom is 4.2.2, you don't have the "desktop" , just the icon mesh, most parts that should be fast are slow^slow^slow
For example, opening dialer is turbo fast, closing it is ultra slow
either cm based or just cm apps in it. Wiped it just now.
Better than MIUI, looks like iOS <3
Can I get all languages with Languags Enabler ?
Interessante
I downloaded the rom, installed, not as changing the edioma being English or Chinese, after all is not rooted, not the root supote, versdão beta, but future versions will support the root, is a bit slow, but it promises to be a rom interesting, will not desktop because the icons on the screen is not large distributed in bars, version 4.2.2 even being a pre-alpha cool, maybe I will follow this journey. Hugs!!

Everyone is trying to revolutionise the Android UI, but they all seem to lack something and end up appearing restricted.
The rom seems to be based upon cyanogenmod (Uses cm kernel and stuff like CMFileManagerThemes.apk present).
I installed the launcher to my phone and it seems to work fine.
I installed it, and I must admit: I´m amazed, it is a very cool rom! I first thought via the videos: Oh, ok, just a luncher and boring... but wow. I was wrong. Really, it is amazing. And for a pre alpha it is very imprssive! Whoever codes this must a be a genius to get something like that with that stability and performance (Antutu 15800) and call it pre alpha. Others would call it beta. :good:

Root Smartisan OS
For those like me, do test in Chinese rom Smartisan OS, and want to root, use this link, and flash in recovery, go to the icon Su and run it, it worked for me in 90%, reinstalled my APPs by Titatiun Backup just can not acessoa the backup folder Titaniun that is on the card, but transfer this folder to the internal memory and I could install 90% of my apps.
I used this link:

This ROM is overclockable!!! The overclock settings are built into the system settings.
I have safely Overclocked this phone to 1117, and it's pretty stable at 1132. Anything higher will make the phone unstable.
Thanks to Cameron581 and No|Name for kernel and Dazzozo for baserom.
Thanks to Zerosedev for the helpful guide, and hit 'Thanks' if this helped!
Also, I apologize if this thread bothers anyone with the Ideos S7. I saw that the forums were a little empty and not many people went on it and since our device (Huawei Fusion 2) doesn't have a forum on XDA, I thought this may be a good way to keep things organized.

Yeah I will also update on that, I wanna use this because it's very organized, well so is the AndroidForums, but eh, I'll keep them updated
Have you tried increasing the voltage trough the kernel at the higher clockrates?
I have not dared clock the S7 higher then the maximum 1ghz, but if you either tweak the voltage settings trough the menuconfig or hack it, it might become more stable at around 1150 mhz

You can download it here: http://androidforums.com/fusion-2-all-things-root/730066-how-install-cyanogenmod-10-1-jellybean-4-2-2-fusion-2-a.html
But, you should back up your 3g first. link to how to: http://androidforums.com/fusion-2-all-things-root/729700-read-before-flashing-ics-jellybean-roms.html
Is there a way we can get a recent version (CM10.1) built? Also, how do we get the 2GB internal partition recognized?
I picked up a pair of these and switched them both to CM10.1. Unfortunately, there is only ~350MB of space for the /system partition (I'm working on this). I will need the partition map so I can actually shuffle some space around. I'm looking at taking (maybe) a 200MB chunk out of /data and sticking it in /system. Either that, or making a normal CM10.1 build and a barebones gapps build.
Also, I noticed this has a built-in FM radio according to several sites. Any ideas?

Hi guys I have troubbles to download the files
please can upload againg in other server zip, i can`t download i need the rom for my phone huawei u8665
No mod for phone
I have a Fusion 2 Huawei U8665 phone I would like to put Cyanogenmod on. I would love the most current vision that would work for the phone. All of the links I've followed to get the mod, leads to a page saying "The file you're trying to download is no longer available". Can anyone help me find what I need to do this. I've already rooted the phone, and backed up the 3g fix files. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Yeah the links don't work anymore. I hope someone has an archive out there since my device is stuck on CM7.2/Android 2.3.7 as Slimbean just shows the AT&T logo and doesn't boot unless I flash CM7.2 again. My U8665 doesn't even work with any of my SIM cards anyways, and besides, Phone by Google on my Galaxy A03s is still a decent UI.
