After Flashing wrong PIT - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have S 2 ,
I have flashed this ( I9100XWLP7_I9100OJVLPB_ARB ) with PIT ( android_fastboot_emmc_full_p4_16G_32G ) after that my phone goes dead , NO Respond , Even no charging as well , , , is there any solution ?
Regards

Never ever flash a PIT (unless your phone is 99% borked and flashing a PIT is that 1% chance of getting it running again). Bit late for you, obviously.
If you can't get into download mode, you might as well try a jig (but very unlikely to get you into download mode), so it's either service center or possibly a JTAG repair by a non-Samsung repairer.

That my friend is called a hard brick. A jtag or you can try to send it to samsung and see if they will fix it

how can you flash wrong pit, where did you get the pit file, the fact it said 32g shouldve rung alarm bells for you!!!
As far as im aware, there is only one s2 pit file used by samsung on gb and ics for the 9100, it does come with most roms in case you need it.
In fact what youve flashed is a Galaxy Tab .pit file, if you cant get back into DL mode with a jig then youve had it im afraid, im not even sure samsung would repair this as its not a 9100 file you flashed.

Search on ebay or something for USB jig. They cost 1-2 dollars. Any more and consider it expensive.
As said above, a jig will probably not work meaning your only option is to send it to samsung for repair or to get a JTAG.

In fact the correct pit file was : u1_02_20110310_emmc_EXT4.pit
But you select for P7500 which was a galaxy tab 10.1 pit

( Q ) 100% bricked vibrant

My phone is 100% bricked, I was flashing blitzkrieg bootloader to flash his ROM and something went wrong.
Now my phone wont turn on, wont nothing. . .
So the Question is: has anyone went out of this? I now the jig method, but I searched and didnt find anything.
eif you borked the bootloader there is a good chance there isnt much you can do besides a jtag reset, now a jig wouldnt hurt to try but i wouldln't count on it working. i personally will always stay away from bootloaders until i get my own jtag rig.
Goodluck bro hopefully the jig works.
if the vibrant is originally yours you could make a warranty claim with samsung stating you were attempting to flash 2.2 through keis and your phone wont work now, otherwise like said jig maybe, Jtag almost assuredly, will fix your phone.
If you are actually considering a JTAGing, search in the forum for connexion2005. He have lots of experience doing it and have a website and everything.
Its sad, but you remembered me why i shouldn't mess with the bootloader. Goodluck with your phone bro...
What happened during the bootloader flash? I just flashed the GB bootloader and the whole process was over in less than 10 seconds, not much room for error..

I couldn't agree more with everything in this post. Nice community situation here
- The Samsung Kies killed my phone excuse has gotta be the ultimate life saver, but over time I'm starting to agree with others that it's probably not something I should endorse. As I root more and more of my friends devices I'm starting to find that 1) I hate them. and 2) NOBODY will read an OP all the way through!

I wholly agree with you that this method is something that should be avoided if at all possible, however I know jtag services can be hard to find as well as sometimes quite costly.
@op let us know how it all turns out for you

Your battery probably died.
You dont have to flash a pit with it because it uses the phones native pit when flashing the bootloader.
Also, the OP for the gb Bootloader states that it CHANGES the key mapping. volume up and power gets you dl mode. Try that before jtag. I had this problem trying to flash the rom because i couldnt figure out recovery. Turns out I didn't read it right. I read it through, just didn't interpret it correctly.

Thank You so much. I was trying to flash back to stock using odin and forgot to put in the pda file. I was only using pit and it bricked. No download mode, left it off for hours, pure blackness. Until I tried your method of plugging in the usb and holding the volume buttons then plugging in the battery. Thank you.

Great news and nice tip from the OP. However, if that tip works, you were not fully hard bricked...
Ok, last update: I got it repaired!
JTAG was the only solution for this.
My phone was:
DEAD, NO SCREEN BOOT UP NO NOTHING
NO REACTIONS AT ALL
NO BATTERY CHARGING IMAGE
NO NOTHING!!! JUST A TOTAL BRICK.
Thank you all!!
Glad to hear you got it sorted out be careful flashing those boot loaders

I faced the same issue when my phone got bricked.
1. odin back to jfd
2. GB bootloader installed.
3. updated to 2.2 froyo via kies...
after that the phone never turned onn...BRICKED...
sending it to connection2005 for JTAG...
hope that resolves the issue.

no, nothing. still black screen / no power.
i think, my mistake was a wrong .pit - i was using the 512.pit, i'm a sgs2 noob ^^
afaik, you do not flash PIT for this phone, ever.
Try removing the battery, then turning on, download mode, recovery etc. If that doesn't work, you're screwed.
Try purchasing a jig. To be honest though, it sounds hard bricked. When you plug it into a power source and try to power it on if nothing at all happens that's usually a bad sign.
To offer you saving point, there are two or three places on the web that offer Jtag services which rewrite the default boot loader.
What were you doing when this happened?
Did the flash complete successfully?
These things are hard to brick although not impossible.
Edit: Oh, just saw the pit reference. Ouch, you are going to need Jtag, friend.

No instructions to flash a 512 PIT file for the SGS1 phone its a totally different PIT.Same as putting the wrong fuel in the tank .

You won't be debrick it at home, only JTAG equipment can help you now. Either send it to a Samsung Service center, tell them you were updating through Kies and hope they don't notice or find a Repair Service with JTAG equipment and have them debrick it.
i wonder something why is a 512.pit file in the update pack (was rar compressed) as the FW is for SGS-2 but not SGS-1 ?!
tomorrow i send the phone to the service center, i can say it was a failure in kies - most pplz are writing this and dont have to pay something^^

You should ask the person who put it in the firmware pack... I haven't seen any downloads on XDA which contain the 512.pit file. Infact if you would've taken the time to read up on some threads here at XDA you would've known most experienced users advise and actively warn against using a pit file.

Bricked! You'll need to get it repaired by Samsung or some place with a JTAG box.
thanks for all answers here
i dont have downloaded the firmware from xda but from samfirmware.com and a wrong odin version with that **** pit file ...
... and readed the wrong tut about flashing a SGS-2 - think this was the most mistakes i've made ...
now its realy bricked and i'll see if i can send to a service center tomorrow.
i hope repair is for free ...

The hardware problem is between your ears .
One this is DEVELOPMENT post in Q&A .
Two you have followed instructions from XX forum why not ask them for advice .
Three are you sure you have i9100 phone as that PIT is not for this phone .
Likewise did you flash i9100 firmware .
You have a bricked phone .
Can you get to download mode if so flash a stock GB rom from stock rom thread to get the phone working .
No download mode two choices find a JTAG repair it will be cheaper than a Samsung repair . Alternative take to Samsung service and hope they dont charge but repair under warranty .

Pit.
When you flash tar you must not set pit for flashing. Remove battery for hour or more than put it back ,try to go in download mode , if that doesnt work find some usb jig to help you put the phone in download mode.
I'm sorry because posted here...and I thank you for you answer.

No download mode or recovery?
Tried a USB Jig?
If none work, a JTag might save it, not sure on .pit files, whether it kills the motherboard or not.
May have to be a Samsung repair job...

Are you happy enough to make the Jig? They can be bought on eBay for £2 (very cheap wherever you are from).
There is a website called mobiletechvideos.com, they are based in America but they deal with these types of bricks.
As I said, not sure if a bad .pit file flash kills the motherboard or not. But try the Jig first and see if there is any response.

The problem is not the cost of jig cable but the time that I need to wait before receive it. I if I try myself maybe that I can save one week and, if this trick don't work, and I will send the galaxy s2 in the Samsung services...
I'm member of Samsung exclusive.. I hope to save some days..
Anyway... I hope to solve with a jig cable.. In the meantime I have found a basic smartphone from my friend.. Just to make a tethering and use my asus transformer for all the normal operation...
But.. Just for my information.. How a wrong file can generate a hardware problem in the motherboard?
I repeat...I'm really very stupid! I have make this operation a lot of times... And without attention I have make this operation yesterday... @##@#....
Thanks guys.. If some people have some extra idea... Reply me please!

If the phone & PC recognise each other via Odin, you could try flashing a full rom package with a pit.
If they don't, you're out of luck. Nothing you can do will fix it. JTAG or service centre. Take your pick.

Is it worth a try usb jig ?
Doubt a jig will work. If you can get or make one easily (lots of tutorials on Google/here showing you how to make one), you might as well try it. But if it's going to take you a couple of weeks to get one, you're probably going to be delaying getting your phone fixed for something that has a 1% (realistically a lot less) chance of working at best.
