there is no need to apply these roms..
these are the Stock roms..
your samsung galaxy Pocket is preloaded with this rom..

use Odin to flash this stock rom..hmm stock rom like that is harder to mod compared to nandroid backup but i will try my best..thanks

Unfortunately I think that it may not be possible to make a nandroid backup for the s5300 yet. If this may interest you

on this page there are various kernel and platform source codes of various android phones, including s5300

I'm interested in installing an ICS ROM too. Since this is my first Android (and just a few days old) I admittedly know very little about ROMs right now. But I'm interested. Let me know if you need something more. And.... many thanks :good:

please develop some more rom for our beloved galaxy pocket.

yes .. some good dev. can try to develop ROM in our POCKET.. they called this MAKDROID..ASPIRE ROM..JELLYMOD..REPENCIS v3.5 GALPOCK

I'm using MAK-DROID since his release and It's working perfectly. I saw Repencis has a different kernel with 17 governor, anyone tested it with setcpu? And how's repencis working in general?

btw
for anyone interested in having DSP Manager (the amazing audio equalizer from Cyanogenmod), I've tested the instructions on this video and it's working on my galaxy pocket.

Sir, you can change wallpaper by long tapping on home sceen, a menu will pop up , select wallpapers or gallery based on where your desired wallpaper is. I didn't get the colour stuff? If you mean that you want to change the ROM's colour then you cannot do that through a wallpaer, you need to download a theme which has the desired colors and apply the theme via Theme Manager
And yes, you can also change the wallpaper via settings menu

Sir, please cool down, it's ok. We need to give time to new people/members to adapt to XDA. I am not going against you sir, you are elder to me so whatever you say is right. But, XDA is all about helping each other, if someone is in trouble and doesnt know how to go about, then we shouldnt mind
in my opinion. now is the best and setabil is "TheMyth ICS - Lite"

Hi,
I tried almost all ROMs in the development pages but I like the best ICS final with SlainModFast v2.5 with the new kernel(blackhawk - ketut). I had no reboots, no freezes no problems. I also run the JuiceDefender on balanced and improves the battery life. And I like the ADW launcher that is included in the ROM.(tried GO, Launcher Pro and some others).
I am a big fan of Grif's CM7 and Ketut's oc kernel... those guys deserves monies!
need kernel with vpn support Android 2.3.5
Hey guys,
flashed today the ace to the Android 2.3.5 via odin.
have now these figures:
Android 2.3.5
Basisband S5830xwks2
Kernel [email protected]#1
gingerbread.xwks2
have read in this forum that per default in samsung's kernel there is no vpn support compiled in so that that i am not able to use vpnc to connect to company's vpn (cisco based).
maybe an option is to update to Android 2.3.6 stock rom, but i think same sh** no vpn support compiled in...
Need a 2.6.35.7 Kernel with additional vpn support nothing more like overclocking etc. Which kernel are you recommended and how do i update only the kernel via odin, too???
many thanks for your replies.

[Custom ROM] Samsung Galaxy S II GT-I9100

Hello XDA community,
As I am new to Custom ROM development.. I used the tutorial by lokeshsaini94 and developed my own First custom ROM (modded and edited by me) [Tutorial Thread Link] Thanks to him for such a useful guide :good: for noobs like me
I used this for Galaxy S II Boot Animation [Link]
Highlights :
This ROM is build for better connection, battery, performance, Image quality, video recording and more [Used this build.prop]
Tweak used :
1 - [TweakZV6] Init.d best tweaks[Flashable] Increase your performance by [email protected]
[Thanks [email protected] for this Tweak :good: ]
Actually, I need a guy who can test my ROM and see if it works perfectly. I didn't tested this ROM but I wanna know if it's perfectly build or not.
NOTE 1 :- Flashable using Odin
NOTE 2 :- Proceed at your own risk for testing this ROM and I am not responsible if any damage caused to your device [I ain't forcing you to test this ROM] and it's build only for Galaxy S2 GT-I9100
Hit Thanks button if you liked it and if it worked flawlessly.
Thanks for your effort m8. New roms are always welcome.
But "I didn't tested this ROM but I wanna know if it's perfectly build or not" Come on dude.. Test your own stuff.

Yeah.. ROM's built by newbies are risky.. but I used tutorial by lokeshsaini94 to build this ROM. So, I think it would work perfectly... but still it's scary to test my own ROM and I though Developers are here at XDA who can restore their phone if this ROM didn't worked which I don't know exactly the restore process..
Everyone please stop.. it's not safe to Flash this ROM..
I want to delete this thread.. but i could not find it.. can anyone help me out ??

cm for trend plus (GT-S7580

Someone please make CyanogenMod for Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus GT-S7580. I and other guys who owns that device would be very happy about it. If someone does that post the recovery install package here and post it to cyanogen mod so they add it to the easy installer. I want CWM recovery for my device too but its not so important.

The only way you will have an cm, I tried diffrent version and no one worked. Do u have an big sdcard? If so, go to the cwm and backup your rom. put it on a zip and send to the cyanogen mod crew, so they can port it.
My sd card is very small but i know someone knows how to make and mod roms because i know a little bit how it works but not much

I can port cm if someone can make the kernel compatible with cm we will have a custom ROM. It's easier to do then most of u think.
UPDATE: I will do needed edits in our stock kernel to get it to boot into cm10.2. However we will still need a proper kernel compiled to have it fully working. Doing it this way will break some functions but I will do my very best to fix bugs. I will get it to the stage of making calls SMS and data working then I will pass the ROM on to other developers to take over. That's best I can offer. Thanks
If you know any kernel developers please get them to PM me thanks

honestly i cant really say what kernel i think is best, what works for me may not work for you. if i had to choose I'd recommend semaphore, neat, and neo kernel. before i forget semaphore and neo are out dated but they still work great as for neat its the most up to date between the three.
ok! finally I installed C-RoM 7.1 & Neo - Kernel CMA TWRP 23.04

dude try semaphore kk3.4.3 its freakin awesome.... I'm on slimkat 7.6 have some issues lags on incoming call..... remaining everything is smooth n fine..... go for that 6.6 buikd its a stable 1... heard slimkat is going to be updated within 3 days for vibrant hope it happens to b a stable 1
I'm on Neat because it provides 417mb Ram. I believe that's the only kernel that provides that much ram, is that right? I need as much ram as I can get lol

ACE GT-S5830 daily use ROM

Hello,
I received from my father this old smartphone and I would like to install a ROM for daily use that can be speedy and stable. I only need to use the mobile for whatsapp, text and calls. NO Facebook or other stuff.
The mobile already has root access and CWM installed.
Do you have something to advice to me ?
Thanks in advance.
