[Q] Remove carrier name - Motorola Droid RAZR

Is it somehow possible to remove the carrier name from he notification bar?
"Vodafone CZ" is taking nearly 1/3 of the notification bar and I'd like to change it or remove it...
Any idea?
thanks

you could try superstatusbar.
without modding the framework package, not really

If you want to do this manually you would use ADB to pull the /system/framework/framework-res.apk and edit the text of eri.xml in /res/xml/ and then push it back and make sure permissions are set properly and reboot.
Be very careful because this is a very critical system file and the phone will not boot if it is improperly edited and replaced. Copy and rename the default file to .bak first so you have an easy way to restore it if you make any mistakes.

Install accuweather app. Now I have the temperature!

Not working on my rooted Razr XT912 (ICS 4.0.4) either.
Tried version 1.2 three times... no go. Still says Verizon Wireless.

No luck here either. RAZR, Ics.

No more 4g!?!

I just went back to stock from ICS and since then, I haven't been able to connect to 4g at all. It worked fine before I loaded ICS an even while I was on ICS. Does anyone have this issue? Any solutions?

Make sure the option for lte is enabled in your mobile data settings and you may just not be picking up 4g atm. You can try rebooting if you think your in a 4g area

I'm in Honolulu at my house which has always been 4g before. I also tried to switch between cdma only and cdma/Lte and also rebooted multiple times. Its only been since I went back to stock from the first ICS leak. Thanks for the help so far tho. I appreciate the feedback

You need to be rooted, but Google just releases android 4.1 source, so a Jelly Bean build is in the works I'm sure. I would just be patient, it'll come soon enough

Bootmenu

Hey so i have looked and looked.use the search feature and used google.. Is there no guide to installing roms on the 2-init using bootmenu? I really want to get back into flashing roms but i do like the stock look and feel.
Sent from my DROID RAZR using xda app-developers app
Yeah, it's hard to find i guess
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=29242699
For second system you need to toggle the second system recovery before you install the Rom.
The Guide to edit the Script for MiUi and CM9 is linked. For CM9 you need an patch, just read the Thread.
If you like Stock, then flash the Epsilon. It's an heavy tuned Stock Rom and it's prepared for second System. So you don't need to edit the Script, just clean your Webtop Partition once and flash.

Don't forget. BootMenu was made on CDMA device. (It's neither XT912 nor XT910)
The whole point of using bootmenu was that i don't have to disturb my stock ROM and can play with and eventually move to a custom rom when I'm comfy with the functionality

Jellybean 4.1.2 update

I found a pretty easy way to get the JB update on my Razr Maxx.
Go here http://d-h.st/vCW on your phones browser and download the file.
Move the .zip to your SD card.
(If your unsure on how to do this i went into files>internal storage>find the .zip>long press and select move>click the back button on your phone>select SD card.)
Hold both volume buttons and power at the same time and scroll down to recovery.
Once in recovery select appl update from SD and find the file and select with power button.
Give it about 10-15 minutes BAM! Jellybean 4.1.2
"Found it", huh? lol

This is/was an official update. When they finally release another official update they will now have to include everybody updating from ICS as well as everybody who already took the JB update. Should be no problem to update OTA next time.

What gives here?
I installed this "update" as directed and was successful. However, my version is still 4.0.4 ICS but shows the 6.16.211 build. Is this supposed to be a Jelly Bean build or is this actually an ICS build?
Any clarification would be appreciated and thanks!
