[Q] HDR Camera weirdness? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
Is anyone getting two images in their gallery when taking an HDR shot?!
It's as if if saves both the standard and the HDR image when the shutter is pressed.
thx..

You answered your own question FYI, this is the same for everybody, just delete the image you like less.

[Q] Low frame rate of galaxy 2 front camera

Hi,
I try to access the front camera of this phone.
From the debug information, I get that "preview-frame-rates" of the front camera is only 15.
Therefore, when I record a video with this front camera, the maximum fps I can achieve is 15.
However, when I use the default Camera app from the phone and try to record a video from the front camera, I can get around 25 fps. Not sure how this app can do this. Any comments are welcome.
Another interesting thing is: by using the Camera app from the phone, there are two modes with front camera, one for video saving and one for image saving.
It is very obvious that the live preview in video saving mode is much faster (around 25fps) than the live preview in image saving mode (around 15fps judged by eyes), but it is also darker. I guess they use different settings for exposure control for these two.
Is there anyway we can get achieve a higher preview-frame-rate of the front camera ideally through android sdk???
Any insights are welcome.
Thanks.
George

Good question, the low camera framerate in darker conditions annoys me too.

[Q] Image quality option in camera settings?

Hi guys, is there image quality/resolution option in this phone? I just looked and I could only find the video quality option. How can I understand it takes the picture on the highest quality?
Thanks!

[Q] Camera

Hey everyone. I was just wondering what was everyone's take on the settings for the camera. I'm still undecided on the Anti-Shake usage in camera mode. It seems that it has a tendency to add more grain/noise to the picture (you can even notice it by carefully looking on the screen when you enable and disable it). Does it really help reduce blurry photos (since the phone does have digital image stabilization)? Also, same thing for video mode using video stabilization. Is it really beneficial to have it enabled? Since if you take pictures while recording, I think the resolution of the photo alters. Just wanted to know what would be the best settings in overall day-to-day usage.
I was just coming in here to complain about the camera myself and see what others are saying for best settings. I cannot either seem to get mine to take pictures without being blurry - in any type of light or with the flash.

Camera and camera2api issues

Hi guys, i have recently enabled camera2api string with build.prop editor, so i tried some camera apps that have manual mode like Footej, Proshot and Manual camera. The main issue is that the maximum shutter speed that i can have is 1sec on Footej, how is this even possible? I'd like to take long exposure low ISO photos in the night, but it's not possible. Is there any setting to unlock? It's a pity to have that camera without this feature. I hope that someone could solve this, thanks and sorry for my english
nobody knows anything?
I'd love to know if long exposure is possible also

Question mirror mode when recording video on the front camera

hi all. Please tell me how can I turn off the mirror mode when shooting video on the front camera?
This problem is seen in all camera applications, both standard and Google.
each time you have to manually edit the video and display it in a different direction.
