Do you guys think that it's possible to watch movies in 3D on this Evo?
I mean, if I convert a BR 3D disk in an MKV format, would the Evo be able to play it in 3D?
If so that would be awesome, not to mention that I am really thinking to buy this beast!

i agree w/ rydah. btw the 3D effect is much more astounding than I thought it would be.. i was skeptical, but not anymore... the optimus 3d looks great w/ 3D (got one for a week =P) but w/ the higher resolution on the evo, i'm super excited
Anyone else noticed issues with controls on Sonic 4 or Sonic CD?
When you run and jump you seem to stop dead.
I didn't have this much of an issue on the Desire running ICS, or on my Xoom with ICS - so wondered if it was a GB quirk with the evo 3d...
Try to download Chainfire 3D in the Market. It will enable more of the 3d drivers. I might work. You need root for it to work, though. Hope this helps.
I've noticed the same thing on many games on the Evo 3d, the virtual thumbstick won't co-operate. stops and starts :/
could it be to do with the gpu throttling on GSM phones? affecting the touch screen

latest leedroid kernel seemed to fix it
Hi all. I'm seriously of dumping the stock ROM for a modified one, but what bothers me is the 3D functions,like pics,vids,and games.
Can someone list me any custom Sense ROMs that still have 3D?
It is the point of the phone after all.

All Sense 3.0 and Sense 3.5 have 3D working, expect with Sense 3.5 3D games that use real 3D will not work. I'm running Mikrunny right now, works good for me, I can watch 3D and capture 3D.

I was tried using Mikrunny, but a little bit uncomfortable since it didn't came with a twitter + Facebook for HTC sense, do you think I can make the request for this to dev, mate? If the dev can provide it, I'll flash Mikrunny again, eh..

Yes it does, it has Twitter for HTC sense built in, and Facebook for HTC sense is integrated into the regular Facebook account setting on Sense 3.5

Are you sure? Last time when flashing Mikrunny I didn't find peep (twitter for HTC sense) and stream (Facebook for HTC sense), can we install the Apk manually?

They are both integrated into the friend stream app and widgets, I'm using them myself .

I'm currently on Mikrunny again and this is confirmed. I thought the same thing when I first flashed but noticed by contact list pics and friends stream worked fine. After you sign in with the account you use, it will authorize the HTC Sense services for the ones you use during that time as well.

No and don't even try to flash because you can do serious damage to your phone. You need to go to LG development for LG ROMs

they are not. HTC already said 3d was hype and they are not releasing anymore 3d devices. in fact this was supposed to originally be a 3d device, but it was thrown out the window and it became a virgin mobile prepay phone

you my friend are twisting some facts together....
1) I'd be surprised if HTC really ever said "...3d was hype and they were not releasing anymore 3d devices..." .......might of said no more this year but deff didn't shut the door on the feature in anyway, nor call it "hype."
2) the last one is the worst....the design shown was not "...thrown out the window and it became a virgin mobile prepay phone.".......you do know the VM phone is an EVO3D with VM branding on it....nothing more.....its nothing like the EVO LTE is.

I believe the reasoning for that is because it streams 3d to 3d TVs,not sure if the hdmi works with 3d havnt tried it yet. It's like a computer where if the format is 3d it will recognize and let you view 3d formats in 2d or stream/wired to a 3d tv

so i looked around and couldn't find much on EVO V 4G, the Virgin Mobile version of the EVO 3D. it has ICS Sense 3.6 and the bootloader shows 1.57. so i was wondering...has anyone rooted this phone yet? i'm thinking of trying HTC Dev cause that seems to be the only way? and also, if i manage to unlock and root my EVO V 4G, do the ROMs for EVO 3D CDMA work for it? it should right?
my EVO V 4G looks exactly like a EVO 3D, it even says "Sprint" in the front next to the HTC Logo. doesn't show any sign that it's VM unless you turn it on and it shows in the carrier text.

There are guides on both android forums and android central on how to root and Rom it but it is basically the same as rooting the evo 3d.
