Good launchers and web browsers for the TF300T? - Transformer TF300T Themes and Apps

Well I've been trying to find good tablet launcher but all I can find decent is Nova launcher. Any recommendations? Stock lags a bit when multitasking so looking for something efficient ^_^ and thanks in advance . Hopefully this would be useful to other noob members like myself.
I'm also looking for a good browser that don't force close and flash videos can fullscreen, so far the only browser that lets me fullscreen flash videos is stock but it lags sometimes and annoys me
I'm not rooted just FYI I'll be waiting for fully stable CM releases later on ^_^

I like nova launcher the best, although apex is popular among Galaxy Nexus devs for some reason. But both have the same features like ADW themes, folders and whatnot.

I'm now using the go launcher hd, it's completely free and it's much, much smoother than the stock launcher.
I have never use nova/apex, what's the major difference between go launcher and nova/apex??

I haven't used go launcher hd but Apex and Nova are like an enhanced stock ICS launcher.

Yup I'm using Nova.. Apex lags when on power saving mode... lol kinda dissapointed my g2x tegra 2 under clocked to 750mhz doesnt lag with apex.. then again custom rom/kernel
Im a bit skeptical on current unlock/roms available ill wait till they get polished to have as daily use ,I dont like to keep updating and changing roms so often.
I'm also looking for a good browser that dont force close and flash videos can fullscreen, so far the only browser that lets me fullscreen flash videos is stock but it lags sometimes and annoys me.
Didnt feel like making new thread for this. Changed thread name also and edited first post

I've been using ICS Browser+ the last couple weeks for my browser. Happy with it. Like a modified version of stock browser. Feel it has more customization, more stable and I get fewer wait/force close notifications. Flash works fine with it.

I'm pretty happy with go launcher HD , but haven't tried anything else besides stock.
Dolphin will do flash.

Dolphin was my first choice and it did not do fullscreen flash videos but gota say I'm impressed with icsbrowser+ it simply works and its fast most stable i have seen yet for my tablet
I recommend overskreen it is 2$ but what it does is really nice and worth it for every tablet , it stays on top of any screen or app etc and u can resize it how you want its prety fast toobut it wont handle flash vids fullscreen when needed. Sure most of these browsers will fix that common problem eventually.

I honestly just use the stock launcher. I have nova and adw installed but don't really like them. Adw is too much and nova is ok but the ASUS widgets don't look right. That opinion will probably change for me later on. For the browser I really like how chrome shares of everything with my laptop. Thought about giving browser + a look though cause I do like the stock browser. Ics did a good job with everything almost to where the second launchers and browsers aren't really necessary like they were in the 2.2 days.

I agree after the build.prop mod the stock browser is the best and most stable. As far as the launcher nova and apex for some reason when running on powersaving both launchers kinda lag

I've been running with just the stock launcher really, haven't looked into alternative launchers yet.
Been using Dolphin HD for a while since I wanted LastPass integration, but before I did a factory reset (unrelated issues) it'd crash a lot with the latest version, hopefully that was just a random issue. It's fairly good otherwise and LP support through a plugin is very nice.

Dolphin cant handle fullscreen on latest firmware and my stock browser is actually being way faster than any other browser.. I'm honestly astonished by how its performing after the build.prop change. Only browsers that can handle fullscreen right now is stock and ics browser+ ( based on stock)

Thanks for the tip! ICS browser + and Browser2ram is a good combination. I don't understand why Asus left out the option for setting the useragent in the standard browser.

If you searh the development section you will find it. But be wary as this can brick ur tablet if done wrong, I assure you u will haveno problems if follow steps correctly and keep backup easiest way to do it is after ur rooted , read the thread and understand how it works before u modify anything

Well now that the latest dessert treat has made its way, and relatively stable, to the AT&T Galaxy S II, I figure it is time to make shout outs for everyone's favorite 4.0+ apps.
Initially I have been very interested, and so far impressed with the new launchers, namely:
Apex, and Nova. Right now I like Apex the most because all the features are free and I haven't found much I feel I need in Nova.
Also new browsers (none of these support tabbed browsing):
Chrome Beta and Quick ICS Browser
Please share any apps specifically made for ICS for everyone to see
ICS Browser+ (better browser tab settings and has quick menu holding finger to the side of the screen)
use it on my prime and is better than stock on galaxy s2 also

ok, well I guess that sort of depends on how u define tabbed, cuz yes it supports multiple pages, it does have have tabs like say Dolphin Browser does or chrome desktop does
I have an issue regarding an app ever since switching to ICS. Mangawhat. Its the best comic and manga app out there that I've seen. But ever since going to ics, it FC's everytime I try to open a zip file saved on my SD card. This problem has never even been brought up before. Any ideas? And could someone here give it a go?

Is there any way to push the stock ICS dialer to TW ICS roms? Or are Samsung's hooks too extensive?

[Beta] Opera Mobile Labs - most stable browser I've used on TF201

This browser has been out for a few weeks but I figured I would post it here for you guys. I've used just about every mobile browser out there and know the issues with most of them.
Stock - Not many options, slower than others, bugs here and there
Firefox - Poor desktop UA, lacks many of the add-ons that make firefox worth using.
Dolphin - Collects user data, not quite as quick as competition
Maxathon - Bulky and FC's alot
Chrome - BUGGY
Boat - Nice UI, very customisable, but choppy webpages, quick to load but not as stable.
Opera - Quick and loads pages with stable scrolling, but randomly exits alot and has some problems with flash.
Opera Mobile Labs 12 is like Opera without the exits and flash issues and the addition of desktop extensions like ghostery, noscript, etc. For ages I've been asking, why can't Android have a single browser that doesn't suck in one way or another, so far it looks like my prayers have been answered. I'm mostly surprised it's a beta build. Let me know what you think.

Same here. Only one problem I noticed that i forgot about in OP, sometimes saving images will create .webp files instead of .jpg, .png, etc. Just change the extension to whatever and it's fine.

With opera I've noticed the loading bar moves a little slower, but the pages load fully. Compared to boat, the loading bar moves fast, but only the banner displays after the page loads and then there's some lag time waiting for the rest of the page to load.
flash performance is a the best out there!
but scrolling still feels like 15 frps and a lot of the web pages do not fit the screen width... otherwise great improvement!!

Best Browser For the S3

Done a search but nothing of relevance came up in these forums.
Just got my phone today and so far just using the stock browser which seems ok but undoubtedly there are better browsers out there, i always used X-Scope on my SGSII but im a bit tired of that now and looking for something else,i hear Chrome for ICS is supposed to be very good, so what browser is everyone using then?
Chrome is not that great on s3 yet, it lags and has touch delays..stock browser is undoubtedly the best browser I have tried . It gets the work done. Only thing I don't like is how you manage tabs . Try dolphin browser, should run as stock but with some enchanced features
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Well the built in browser works really nice, but i personally like
firefox and that you can use addons like adblock and so that i value
a lot personally.
Though I don't currently have the S3 yet, I'll probably use Boat Browser. Easy to use and has been the best I have used for my tastes. It'll be the fist I install when I get my S3.
Dunno where you heard that Chrome 'lags', that's definately not the case. Alright, you don't have Flash. I always thought of it as a huge drawback but I haven't missed it a single time and I've been using Chrome for Android since the very beginning.
It has great tab management, staggering performance and a brilliant look. One of the best things about it is the integration with your desktop Chrome (and all other versions of Chrome you might be using.) Open tabs are synced in real time so let's just say you want to open a link from your phone on your desktop. no more mailing it around, now you can just click on it on your desktop. The bookmark sync is great too. And it's Chrome.

Use Chrome. Also install Flashify. In the rare instance you launch a site that needs flash, just click share, flashify, then select an alternative browser. The page you were browsing is then opened for you.

Stock browser works well here.
Before I used Dolphin, but there's a bug or something. When double tapping to zoom in on an area on the page it always zooms in to the left of the page (instead of the area you double tap)
Do more people experience this bug?
Dolphin Mini - best interface, not a ton of features
Dolphin HD - alright interface, just works
Opera Mobile - most like a PC, best comparability with websites that give trouble, has hardware acceleration, super smooth
Stock - smoothest, least features, and has problems downloading certain types of files, or downloading at all from hosting websites

The Firefox from play store seems incompatible but you can give Aurora from Mozilla a try. Still alpha I believe but works well for me so far on my prime. Snag the apk directly from Mozilla!
Happy Browsing!
Sent from my Transformer Prime using xda premium
Firefox does not work at all at time of writing, which I find frankly deplorable. Aurora does, however, it isn't rendering some pages correctly in mobile or standard browser modes.
Firefox Beta asbeen updated in the Play Store with tablet support. I'm posting from it right now
The bad: It renders slower than stock or Chrome and the occasional ANR (though it seems to happen less than with the stock browser.)
The Good: Extensions like adblock and phony. Flash support and it's very very smooth now. I like to stress test on cnets site and it works pretty well there.

Favorite browser?

I'm wondering which browser you guys are using on your Transformer, and why?
I'm looking for a browser that looks good and is intuitive to use with the keyboard.
For my part I'm liking Dolphin Browser, especially because the adress/tabs bar is hidden when you're not using it. But I'm not entirely pleased because I don't have the "return to top" button in the bottom right corner that I have on my phone, not sure why, but it makes it a it of a hassle to use.

I really like firefox when using the transformer with the keyboard attached, it's fast and I've synchronzed it with my desktop's firefox also. I feel it smoother than the stock browser and chrome.
When using it undocked, I use chrome as I love the zoom when you click on a zone with more than one link to improve accuracy
I prefer dolphin HD when not using the keyboard
I use Chrome all the time except when watching Amazon video.
