Sprint evo3d camera is broken - HTC EVO 3D

Was using Myns ics rom and camera worked fine. Put the wifes phone back to stock and camera just gives the phone a black screen. I wiped all I could x2. I have even tried using other roms and get the same broken camera. Anyone know its it hardware? Or software?
Thanks guys.

try using mean rom 2.3.... i know the camera works in 2d and 3d on that rom... some roms only the 2d works so you might only have one camera out and if you load one with a 3d cam then the second cam may kick on and if none kick on id definately say its a hardware issue...

Pull camera APK from stock ROM,delete camera from system/apps ,copy pulled APK to system/apps,reset permissions to rw-,r--,r--,,reboot phone,,should take care of camera issue,,hope this helps

Stuck at HTC boot screen with Santod's ICS Rom

Hello everybody. I'm trying to flash the Santod's version of ICS OTA Rom and Im stuck at the HTC boot up white screen I tried the odex version (556.4MB) and the debloat version (376.8MB) and with none of them have any luck I cant get passed beyond the bootup screen. I'm using 4EXT recovery to flash the Roms I also updated the Radios with the OTA ICS radios. Does anybody is facing same problem?
He posted a file to flash if you was caught in a boot loop. Might want to head over to that thread.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
Correct, I posted a flashable zip to apply to either Odex rom.
I am in the process of uploading complete Odex roms, so no patch file is needed.
Thanks I will try that

After the rocky start with the boot loops finally Installed the santod's trimmed version with the fixed kernell after that WiFi camera mms etc was working as supposed to be but everything on the phone suddenly come to a crawl status it was super slow even loading Google on the stock browser and reluctantly I had to go back to GB.
I like the ROM very much but the speed was the deal breaker. Is there any way to speed things up?

I'll be doing some serious crack-flashing of this starting tomorrow afternoon.......gotta make it through one more day till graduation........once I start flashing, grades go down the crapper, lol.
Flashed it and everything works great except the call audio which was stated. Can't wait to see future versions!

Scrap that GPS and Camera are busted in the latest build. I have a logcat of just errors on a fresh install of GPS if needed. Looking thorough I saw some entries that may be caused by linaro

AOSP JB and Google Hangout

I thought this worked at one point, but I can't recall how far back. Somewhere along the way, Google Hangout audio out stopped working. Does anyone know what may have changed, or know of any AOSP JB ROM that has it working? I am at a deciding point to go back to ICS and a Sense ROM like Viral VS. Google Now.

Maybe around April 8th?
When I committed the Google Talk fix. https://github.com/Flyhalf205/andro...mmit/97d4f320d3903ac8b2ead0f63c54446a4f381d48
So it could just be a routing issue then.
Take the zip attached. Replace the audio_policy inside your /system/etc/ with the one in the zip. set permission. restart phone and see if it works.
Thanks for the reply fly. I will try this and report back.

Awesome man. This is very interesting. I'll narrow it down more so when you flash new ROMs you won't have to keep replacing it. It's just a simple routing error
But BTW. You probably lost Gtalk voice/web chats if you use it.
No worries. Wife has iPhone and we use hangouts to video chat. I don't video chat with anyone else. Let me know if I can help your testing at all.
I am sticking with 5/1 build for the time being because the camcorder works best on it. No jerkyness and everything always plays back.

on 5/15. I updated my Talk to the new Hangouts..audio out broken again. I did replace the audio policy from this thread and same results. I am going to try it again just to be sure I used the right file. If that fails, I'll try the one from 5/13 which worked, and see if that works. Unless you have some other suggestions.

Google edition camera app with Photosphere

I don't know if anybody has seen this yet, but Android central just posted the camera app with photosphere. You don't need to flash this, just download and install the app and enjoy!
http://cdn.androidcentral.com/sites...es/articleimage/684/2012/11/GalleryGoogle.apk
I would like to as I sort of miss the photoshere feature from my Nexus, but will installing this over write my current camera/gallery? I dont want to lose my current camera functionality and I sort of like the stock gallery lol..suppose I could nandroid..then install and see what happens eh
Check the international One section it's posted in apps. I have it installed on venom one and it works great.

I did notice that the one picture I took looked kind of blurry but I took it inside and it says to be at least 30 feet from what you are taking the pictures of. I haven't had time to try one outside to see if it works better.
It keeps force closing on me.

Yep. Tried it on a number of ROM and standard and it just produces blurry rubbish. I had an earlier version on a G3 and it was brilliant. Would be interested to see anybody who can produce one that looks good on an HTC one to be honest.

I tried the camera/gallery version from the 4.3 update for Google Play edition and Photosphere definitely seems a fair bit better on the HTC One, although it's still not brilliant. It's seems most likely that it is to do with the Ultrapixel camera.
There is an example of the latest version I used on my HTC One here, on Google+ : https://plus.google.com/u/0/117344384174087802750/posts/4VoHCETevbR
As you can see, it's not perfect, but it looks a lot better than any I have managed so far. Imagination/Circumstance or genuine update? Who knows.

This ROM is great running smooth. The only bug that I am having is the camera freezing after a picture is taken. It saves the picture but force closes the camera. I had this problem on the older build I tried out and now also with the 012514 build. This is after both a fresh install and a dirty over cm11. Anyone else with this issue or has anyone found a fix?
