And when I touch finger...
I can clean this by cloth by when I touch finger is very big SPOT!
WTF?
Warranty get this?
Sry for my Englis...

Lol you mean that big finger print that you also can clean with a cloth?
Yes it is a warranty case!

No, no, no.
When I clean cloth I have cleaned display, but when I move finger on all lenght few times I see this spot.

If after cleaning with cloth your screen is clean
If after booting your screen is clean of any problems
Perhaps you need to clean the screen that might be greasy.
But if you see spots when booted, you got burn in.

Maybe this photos can you explain this "damage".
and
I can clean this by cloth and it's good, but when I move finger I can see spot. Big spot only in this area.

can't see anything, sorry

Is it under the screen? Is it water damage? If you know the circumstances that led to it you can find whether its covered by Samsung. Or better, just call Samsung.

It's on Gorilla Glass, phone is works, but spot is only when I move finger.
This spot works like magnes who catch metal, this catch something oil...

Maybe something to do with the screen. Get it checked by Samsung .

Finally Samsung give me new sccreen, now it's ok

In need of a keypad+wheel

I have been checking some online-shops (inc. ebay) in the search of the keypad(plastic thingie, without circuits) with a wheel but with no luck - they are not sold separately from housing, nor many housings are sold without them.
Can anyone give me a clue if I can find that piece somewhere?
It seems there is a thin metalic layer. This one is very fragile: on my phone, this layer begins to peel off. Does anyone know how to change it?

that same **** happens to me, but no that serious, only the little "line" that its in the red and green icons. I guess that your using your fingernails, right?
Nope. But when cleaning my screen, I put a little bit of water on it, then rub it with a tissue. I think the tissue gets caught on the small holes and tear off the metallic layer... One of my colleague has the same problem.
Once it has begun, you cannot stop the layer unsticking.
Uh! need!!
Yes I me too..
please help... broken idem.-
Mine is even worse not even the metal layer has been scratched off but the keypad is also cracked in the middle and the scroll-wheel does not work
This keypad is really a crap. And the phone surface is not guaranteed by HTC (of course)!
I will receive an HD 2 in a few days. My operator could rebuy my Polaris for 18 € (for recycling it)
to wagner51
dude if you're gonna sell it that cheap, let me know. i'll give you an alright price for it with postage etc
same problem
I am facing the same problem: the metallic-coated front panel is scratchy, and just last week it was broken from the upper middle section. If anyone could give advice on how to fix/replace it, it would be most appreciated.

[Q] Adhesive along frame?

Hi there,
I got my Nook tablet today, and almost immediately noticed a fair amount of adhesive at the left bottom corner of the frame, and a bit further up the left side. I read that the inside of the device contains large amounts of adhesive, but is it normal for it to actually show outside the frame? I took a picture of it:

I'd try to clean it out of there, but it is rather rough stuff and I don't want to work it around too hard.
Thanks, Nir
Wow, that is completely unacceptable. You should exchange it immediately if it came that way.

Absolutely agree with Phonoob. Go get that thing exchanged asap!
Yea ide return it.

My thought too. Back it goes I guess, thanks for chiming in!
I'd say return it as well, but if you wanted to just clean it use Goo Gone or even lighter fluid.

And catch fire! Read the fine print. No harsh chemical should be used to clean product. Just return/exchange for new unit.
Dead Pixel
Take it back. Mine had a dead pixel or screen imperfection right in the middle and I took it back. Exchange was easy.

Internal screen crack

Hi all,
one fine day after turning the screen off and leaving on the bed.. went to shower, came back and saw this when i turn it on.

This is the corner where the light bleed issue is.
What are the chances that a stress point from bad manufacturing can cause this?
I've sent the unit back to ASUS servicing centre and their engineers are checking whether its user fault or manufacturing. (i'm pretty damn sure my bed didnt do this while i'm showering).
I've seen LCD damage that was a result of impact and it had crack lines from the impact point. Any suggestions/opinions on how this came about?
man that **** looks weird... no damage on the outside at all?
and you sure no one dropped it while you were in the shower?
Aww That is a cracked lcd panel. In my experience warranty never covers this, sadly... Guess you have to try to argue with Asus, if you`re 100% sure it wasn`t dropped etc.

This.
Sucks. Have a dog? Cat? GF? LCDs don't crack under normal usage. Was it exposed to the humidity from the shower?
doublepost
i was the only one at home at that time .. sigh.

You will probably want the glue/stickietape for the back and front closure. I'm not sure if it is a clamp fix or glue for the ribbon cable, I seem to remember someone having trouble with a screen replacement
@asadkhanduhh From what I can ascertain from your photograph, you do not need the digitizer panel as I cannot see any break in the glass.
It is the LCD panel that has broken, suggested by the lines of color running up and down and across the screen, It might not be a bad idea to get the digitizer panel aswell, if it is broken, or in case you do break it whilst opening the phone up, and if so, you might aswell purchase a pre-assembled LCD panel & Digitizer unit to save cost and effort in separating the glass from the LCD panel.
thank you two for your replies.
i will keep the repair progress updated.
thanks again.

black screen after dropping it please help!

Just dropped my phone flat down on a hard surface.
Only micro cracks on the screen, but it remains black. Buttons are still working,.
I noticed when I light turn it off and on that there is a tiny flash of light happening for a mirco second, and was wondering if the shock may have slightly disconnected the screen.
Do you reckon that would be possible and if so, should i just open it to verify everything is well plugged / connected inside? Won't hold you responsible if I end up breaking it

It may be a loose connector.
You already know the display needs replaced.
Any high G impact can damage the mobo even cause internal damage to chipsets.
You'll need to go one step at a time.
If you start replacing components use/observe full ESD protocols to avoid damaging discreet components assemblies including the mobo.
When out of circuit the assemblies are more susceptible to static discharge than when in circuit fully assembled.
In the future use a good case with raised screen guards like the Zizo Bolt to prevent this.
can it work to only change the screen

If that's all that's damaged. Watch some tear down vids first. Have all the tools you'll need and some anhydrous isopropyl alcohol to help loosen the adhesive seal strips on the rear cover and battery.
